I have been to several PJs. Each one is different on the inside. This one sits near a reservoir, and the style represents that coastal feel. Hence, the street's name is Lake Harbour Dr. I will say in this one, the coffee is really good, and has a refreshing taste. But I'm not surprised because as I'm sitting here writing the review, I overheard the girl behind the counter talking about coffee and what it takes to make a great cup. She knows her coffee, so I would not be surprised if she opens her own coffee house. read more

Bathroom is NASTY!! NO SOAP in EITHER BATHROOM, almost no toilet paper, NO PAPER TOWELS in one bathroom and the toilet I went in looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. So, Everyone that uses either restroom gets to rinse with COLD Water!! Happy eating Here.... Bring a lot of sanitizer!!! I do my very best NOT to use these restrooms. This owner should show up and see what is not working. The location on Lake Harbour, Ridgeland MS is seriously lacking. These young people who work there are doing their best. But when a PJ's cannot consistently offer a Granita, it ceases to be a PJ's. I gave it MANY tries. read more

This has got to be insane! I walked in for the first time cause I usually order online and pick up at the window ! I order a large mocha latte made with sweet cream and this girl at the counter argue me down that it was just a topping and I have to get another milk in there so I explain to her I come here everyday I even showed her my previous order so she can see how I like it and she gave me a attitude and then got the others in on making me look dumb when I in fact I order this same shit everyday! I heard about PJs coffee shop via Facebook, so I decided to take a quick trip to give them a try, as they were 3 minutes from where I lived. Upon walking in, there was not a greeting, there were two workers with headsets on, one at the drive-thru window and one at the register; a man was also standing behind the register - no one greeted me as I walked in and a dull and dry "Welcome to PJs Coffee" when it was my turn to order. I'd already knew what I'd wanted because I reviewed the menu as I was waiting for a family of five, (3 adults, a baby and small child), so I decided to review the menu and be ready to order when it was my turn. After about 10 minutes, I was finally able to order. I wanted a turkey and ham Swiss cheese croissant, not warmed and a Caramel Granita, with almond milk. The barista repeated my order and asked if I wanted a ham and Swiss croissant. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the Caramel Granita as it was premade with whole milk, but I was offered a Vanilla Ice, which could be made with almond milk. So I ordered that instead. I was asked by the barista/cashier if I'd ordered the ham and cheese croissant and if I wanted it warmed. I reiterated that I wanted a turkey and Swiss croissant, not warmed. She handed the croissant first and I'd sat back down. 30 seconds later, my Vanilla ice was ready. It was pretty, but the texture watery . When I made it home I took croissant out of the package and it was cold, hard and the ends prices were too dark for my liking. When I opened it to see the if it was turkey and not ham, I wasn't pleased at all, because the meat and cheese was sparse and only on one side. Even when I nuked it in the microwave for 15 seconds, the end pieces were still hard. Overall, the croissant, cheese and ham was drier than a powder house! All I can say is first impressions are EVERYTHING to me and I wasn't impressed, not even a little bit. Customer Service was lacking, the assumed owner/manager kept hovering over the drive thru person, but not the counter person who asked me 3 times was it a ham and Swiss turkey croissant. I'm glad I didn't wait to attend the grand opening because I am positive the food will be much fresher and Customer Service on point. read more

The coffee is great and they have a full menu of baked items. The restaurant is clean and there are plenty of tables and chairs with electrical outlets and usb ports. This is a great place to sit and work and visit with friends BUT if you need a quick cup of coffee to go, this is not the place. Their staff works extremely hard but they are completely understaffed. As we waited for our coffee, the drive thru was lined up and there were 8 people inside the restaurant and no one was drinking coffee. I ordered a large, strong coffee and a breakfast sandwich, and that is exactly what I received. The coffee was the best I have found in this area and the bacon,egg and cheese biscuit was fresh, hot, and made with quality ingredients. The staff were patient and helpful and the place was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room to relax. I believe that my traditional Sunday breakfast of an egg McMuffin combo probably ended with my visit to PJ's! read more

We go mostly for the beignets. They have always been great , made fresh. Of course the coffee is good too.

My first visit, around 4 months ago, was disappointing. I had similar problems with the ham and cheese pastry and the strawberry croissant that a previous reviewer mentioned. A couple weeks after my first visit. I stopped again and was blown away!! Maybe it's just an issue with those particular items or maybe growing pains. Regardless, on the second visit my egg, sausage, cheese bagel was excellent and the beignets were out of this world!! I would dare say comparable to Cafe Du Monde. The coffee has been excellent the whole time and I especially enjoyed the cappuccino. Have been back numerous times since, and at the bare minimum this place is now a necessity for me on the weekends. read more

I've been hearing about PJ's from different people around. People said the sandwiches, coffee, beignets and muffins were good. That is true, they serve a good product. But the customer service is below average. I ordered a Peach Palmer Tea, beignets and a Turkey Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich. There was no one in line and I placed my order, paid for my order, got my tea and went to my seat to wait on my sandwich as I got comfortable to dine in. Well after 10 minutes I still didn't get my sandwich. I know i saw the barista warm it. So I wait for a family to complete their orders. I walk up to the counter to ask for my sandwich and the barista says "I thought I gave it to you." But then he saw it sitting behind the pastries and handed it to me. The sandwich, tea and beignets were all very good, the decor is nice and relaxing also. If I had received better customer service from either of the baristas this would have been a 5 star review. read more

Th representative that took our order in the drive thru was very rude. They were out of blueberry muffins and didn't offer another flavor. Also, ordered beignets bites and she said they would bring them to our vehicle. My husband went inside to wait and grab a fork and he waited in there for over 20 minutes for them. When he asked for them, the representative said oh I thought you left... He said I've been waiting IN here the whole time. Meanwhile, the "manager" was saying how sorry she was because they had been so busy.. The time my husband was waiting for the beignets though, there had only been one other person come in and another customer didn't get his order either. Today I was NOT pleased with my visit, I am a regular and study here very frequently. I normally get 2 beignets and today I ordered them when I first came in. The barista, I think her name was Elana stated that the beignet machine was not working today so I didn't get any beignets. As I am studying, I overhear her taking 5 different orders of beignet bites and regular beignets and just telling the customers that it will take a minute but they will get their beignets in a few minutes. But you told me the machine was down? Mind you, these customers ordered beignet orders of 10-12. So I think to myself maybe I should try again, as I walk up to the counter she walks over to tell a family that they will be the first customers to get beignets when they are done. So I try to order again and she gives me an excuse that they will come out weird and that they can't make anymore right now. It doesn't matter that the beignets will come out weird, it's the fact that I was lied to and told that the machine was down. I would have happily waited (considering the fact that I was studying) for beignets. I don't appreciate the service I received today. read more
