Overall 3 Stars Located near the Char restaurant in building / suite 145, it was confusing when using the Yelp or Apple Map directions. Make sure to look for the Char restaurant as a reference. The bagel bakery is housed with other shopping, restaurants and businesses. I parked near Whole Foods which is the back part of the shopping center. Ambiance: 3 Stars As you walk in the bakery, the decor is modern with various paintings and artworks. There is plenty of tables, chairs and 3 large booths. At full capacity, the noise level will increase. The display of the bagel section is great however, it is hard to read the menu board due to the narrow ordering area. There are menus available if you can't read the menu display. Service:3 stars You are greeted by the staff and the ordering starts at the deli section. The ordering process is somewhat chaotic. It wasn't busy, but it seems the staff helping at the counter were scrambling more than they should have. They were pleasant and professional but somewhat slow when ordering a few items. Everything is freshly prepared and you are eating in line to pickup your order. This delays the line to move. Food: 3.5 Stars The freshness of the bagels, the various salads (chicken, tuna, or veggies) and condiments were crispy, moist and or succulent. I ordered the Egg, Meat and Cheese on an Everything Bagel 3.5 Stars. The patty sausage, cheese and egg were ok. The bagel was the STAR of the show. Slightly salty to balance the various seeds and onion. It was light, crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. I added a few dashes of Louisiana Hot Sauce to enhance the flavor of the sandwich. Because of the freshness and the taste of the Everything bagel, I ordered the Baker's Dozen to bring home. Waited in line about 15 minutes, finally got to the register and stood there another 10 minutes waiting to order. Turns out they don't actually take orders at the register. I purchased chicken salad, and a small pasta salad. The chicken salad came with bagel chips. It had no flavor. All i could taste was garlic when eating the chicken salad. I could not taste anything else. It was largely flavorless. I believe the bagel chips had a lot of garlic seasoning. It overrode the taste of everything else. The Pasta salad was equally flavorless. And it had too much or a sticky gooey sauce over it. The only plus was the restroom was clean and it was accessible as soon as you walked in and the servers and cashier were friendly. read more

The staff is unprofessional and seem to hate their jobs. I called to place an order and was told to "hold on". While holding I could hear their conversation. The lady that answered told a co-worker that "that's the girl from (my place of employment) with her order. The co-worker asked, "what does she want"? The lady that answered the call said, "I don't know. I told her to hold on". After hearing this conversation, I decided my business was not needed. Therefore, when she returned to the call, I told her that I would be ordering from somewhere else. Beagle Bagel Cafe is a cute little bagel shop hidden away in the shopping center adjacent to Whole Foods. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had a cheese bagel with one of the savory spreads. It was one of the best bagels I have in a long time. Recommended. read more

We ordered take out online, and it said it would take 30 minutes. We sat in store for 45 minutes waiting for our order. They were not extremely busy. We gave them our name multiple times- I am truly not sure what was going on, but they wouldn't let us cancel our order either. It was ridiculous, and not worth it. read more

This location sucks full stop. Extremely rude staff, not a one off thing either. The blonde hair lady and dark hair lady with eyebrows are always so rude. Usually forget something on your order too. Just drive to Ridgeland or Madison location if you're craving Beagle Bagel. read more

I adored Beagle Bagel when my boyfriend was at Ole Miss. They have a location in Oxford that is great!!! Unfortunately, I live 6 hours away from Oxford. We were passing through Jackson today, and I was dead set on coming to this location since I've been missing my Oxford Beagle Bagel visits. I had high hopes, but this location simply does not compare. I mainly say that because of the service. It was only the two of us and two other small groups of people in the whole store. This still seemed to be too overwhelming for the staff. They were not very efficient or customer oriented. Not sure how else to describe it. The two employees were actually bickering back and forth in front of us for a few minutes. Awkward. I ordered my beloved chicken salad on an everything bagel. It comes with a side. I got chips. The bagel didn't seem as fresh as it should be. Took a lot of effort to chew. But overall, it tasted good. They really do have some of the best chicken salad! read more

Was our usual place to to eat before my daughter's orthodontist appointment but not anymore. I got a few muffins and cinnamon rolls. Daughter was eating a muffin after we got home and found a metal piece in it. I called back and was told to call in the morning to speak to a Mgr or supervisor. I wasn't ever able to get anyone on the phone so here I am writing a review. I won't be going back. Chew carefully. Update: I ended going back in because my other daughter wanted a bagel and she couldn't go herself because she was at work. I was able to speak to the owner. She said I don't even know what that would've come off of like I put it there. She wasn't really listening to me after then. Offered a cookie or muffin. I'm just glad my daughter wasn't really hurt because they don't care. If that's how you deal with people. read more

Menu says nothing about the chicken salad having nuts or grapes. I ordered it and it had an abundance of grapes and almonds. What about people with nut allergies? Also because I ordered it online they refused to refund me. They said it was the online system's issue and I had to deal with them. I'm very disappointed. I am honestly SO beyond surprised about how this place isn't rated better on Yelp.... this place is SO good!!! First of all, it's like the only bagel place we could find in Jackson, MS..... so that in itself is impressive. But we walked in and were so surprised at how authentic and delicious the place looked. The bagels were incredible and the cream cheeses were fresh and flavorful. They had such a variety of flavors and types we could choose from too. My families favorite cream cheeses were the chives and the honey walnut. YUM. The bagels were so fresh and chewy too. Just perfection. Staff were all super nice and friendly as well! read more

The food here isn't bad, but the place is full of problems. This restaurant is disgusting. Layers of thick dust on light fixtures and on walls. Food splattered on walls. Paint coming off. Dirty floors and tables. Bagel crumbs in bagel area that have likely never been cleaned out. Cabinets and other fixtures/furniture are in disrepair. The place is flat out filthy. They are typically understaffed, and the staff often acts annoyed to serve you. The owner is often present. I am not sure what he's doing, and how he doesn't see these issues with cleanliness, appearance, and staff. I'm writing this review in hopes that he'll see it. The location is great, the food is good, and I wished I loved going here. I only go because my wife wants to now, as I am so grossed out by all of the filth. Please clean up the place. Was surprised at how quick the service was for the first time EVER only to get home to a huge hair in my pickles. Actually ruined my appetite and couldn't make myself eat the rest of the food I ordered because of this hair. Maybe the workers should wear hair nets. read more

I got a side of just strawberries (not assorted fruit) and I should have taken a picture. They were the best strawberries I've had in awhile - SO fresh and good. Two stars for the best chicken salad in the world, and the most two-faced customer service. I've been here probably a hundred times over the past five years and I've noticed that if you go in dressed like one of their "typical" customers (as I often do) then you'll be treated at least decently (if not politely). But if you have been working in your yard and look like a working man (as I did today), they rush you out of the store and make you feel very unwelcome. I've seen them do it to others as well who were ahead or behind me in line, so I know it's not just me. Don't go to this place dressed in anything less than business casual. Beagle Bagel Cafe recently opened a new location in the Highland Village mall on I-55. Centrally located in Jackson, I've found myself going to this location instead of the original that's in Ridgeland. This local chain is the only place that you can get a fresh bagel as far as I know, and they do bagels right. I especially love splurging on a lox bagel sandwich with a side of bagel chips when I can. I had one of their iced sugar cookies today and it was obviously fresh and quite tasty. After living in the area for years, I recently discovered this place for breakfast. It puts everyone else to shame. The kitchen and ordering process is like a well orchestrated symphony of deliciousness and friendly service. There are so many options for breakfast, from freshly scrambled eggs and homemade biscuits, to pastries, to fresh baked homemade cinnamon rolls, to ...oh yeah, bagels! All kinds of bagels, sweet, savory, you name it, they have it....grits, sausage, bacon, great coffee.....and less expensive than the other places in the area. Had multiple people skip the line to pick up their call in order, which wasn't ready yet, but the staff still attended to their payment before mine, despite my sandwiches sitting in a paper bag on the counter. 2nd star for the staff wearing gloves. This is my first time here. Nice facility, good location. I like the bagels. They have many flavors. I thought the cream cheese was just okay. It had an odd texture and had a "made at home" taste which you would think was good but it was just... different. They were out of blueberry bagels today which is my favorite so I had a cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese today. 3 out of the 4 employees I made contact with were very friendly but 1 was extremely cranky. Anywho, I'd go back. My friend told me their chicken salad is bomb so maybe I'll give lunch a try next time. read more

We go for the chicken salad, however, the employees at this location are *extremely* pushy about getting the "freshly packaged" chicken salad in the refrigerated section when you walk in. We go in & say "We want 2 small or 2 medium chicken salads" and they reply, "Oh, you can get it already made over there; we just put it out." They clearly get very annoyed when you stay persistent about wanting it scooped into a container in front of you. Normally I would be fine with getting the pre-packaged chicken salad, but we said "never again" after we spent the money and it was dry towards the middle-bottom. Definitely NOT fresh and "just packaged" as they told me. Most times we just skip going because we don't feel like almost getting into an argument with pushy employees!!! This an almost automatic go to for lunch if I'm craving a good fulfilling sandwich. The bagels are fresh, the spreads are plentiful and the desserts are displayed in such a way I dare not to leave with at least one. Very friendly and helpful waitstaff. Oh and they carry Zapps chips! read more

I have been going to Beagle Bagel Cafe for a while. My husband likes the food, as do I--the food alone I would give it 3.5 to 4 stars. The people who serve you look ticked off or sad, but they are efficient. My husband didn't want to go there with me anymore. I, on the other hand, didn't care. I would tip them 20% and smile, hoping the excellent vibe would pass off to them. My co-workers loved the cookies I purchased, and my mom loved their pancakes. Two weeks ago, I came in after work. I placed my order to take home to my family. While mixing my mom's cream and sugar in the coffee, I saw a bag on the floor across from the garbage can. The blond lady said that was my order. I gave her a 20% tip for take-out food, and she couldn't put my bag on the counter? To add insult to injury, I didn't get the honey wheat bagel I asked for; it was a roll. The lady who prepped my food has had trouble with my order in the past. I wanted to talk to them, so they didn't do that again, but they were too busy. I try to support Jackson Businesses at all times. I love the food, but putting my bag on the floor was insulting. My mom will have to have her Pancakes at Primo's. read more

Customer service is not what it used to be. I ordered my food over an hour and I was then notified by my door dash driver. In the background the employees were rude to her and told her that they were not going to make my food because they were too busy. I paid like everyone else. My door dash driver was mistreated after standing in line for over an hour only to notify me of a cancellation. Will never order from here again. read more
