Deserves zero stars. Was looking for a quick stop on my lunch break and did a search on Google maps for something close. I see a Plaid Pantry near by...hmm why does it have less than 3 stars ? So I read some reviews because I don't usually like to go to low-rated business's. The reviews all seem to be about the same cashier, "Michelle" who is notably rude to customers. I assumed there's no way that person could still work there with that many negative reviews, and I was in a hurry so decided to visit anyway to get some drinks. I should've believed the reviews. ACCURATE AF. After getting to the counter, I asked the woman at the counter nicely if they had any bags and said I'd like one. Her reply verbatim: "I usually like to ask people if they want a bag AFTER I ring them up",..said with an eye roll in THE MOST CONDESCENDING AND RUDE TONE I've probably ever heard from someone in customer service. I'm just like really?? After ignoring her rudeness and just trying to finish, I say "the receipt in the bag is fine thx", but instead she goes out of her way to hold the receipt out to me literally refusing to drop the receipt in my bag as she dead-eyes me I guess to prove some point until I have to take it from her hand. Now I'm just like wtf is this lady's deal...so weird and unprofessional, how does she have this job... I was almost stunned by the audacity of her apparent NEED to, I guess, put me in my place or something lol,...for asking for a bag... .... I looked at the name tag and what do ya know... 'MICHELLE' from all the bad Google reviews. Her whole attitude out of nowhere was so ridiculous that I laughed and thanked her for proving EVERY SINGLE BAD REVIEW about her on Google to be true. Wow Michelle at Plaid, you are truly lacking any self awareness. You must not respect yourself, your job, or your employer enough to be better. To be kind and good to people instead of spiteful for no reason. I mean it's not like you work in CUSTOMER SERVICE or anything . You certainly don't respect your customers AT ALL and it shows. I feel sorry for you. That you're so unhappy with your life as a cashier that your only joy is to try and belittle random customers for no reason, as stated in MULTIPLE REVIEWS. Are you that incompetent to think that's a good idea in the long run? Or is your employer so incompetent not to realize how much business they're losing because of you?! Yikes. Sure are a lot of people on here saying they won't be back to this Plaid Pantry because of you. I'm another one. Take a hint. Perhaps the corporate office needs to get notification of how you treat people. It's a small town. People around here know exactly who you are because your name is on the internet -multiple times- for the world to see what a terrible employee you are. Good job. You're famous on Google for being a dkhd. You're about to be famous on Yelp too since you're so proud of how you treat people. BTW, You're a cashier at Plaid Pantry lady. Get in and get out in a good way. Just grab whatever and leave not really a spot to hang out at and staff were fine

I've been living in Gresham area for three years. Buying booze. Been going PP. SAFEWAY. those people knows me and doesn't ask me ID. But this pp in troutdale. This old ginger lady kept asking me ID. It irritate me. She show me the sign about zero tolerance and It also said if look below 30. I'm 38!! Then she said doesn't matter. I can only imagine that working the evening shift at plaid pantry isn't a lot of fun. I almost feel bad about posting a somewhat negative review but here you have it. I have been here a few times during the evening and every time the same girl is working behind the counter. She doesn't look like she enjoys her job (to say the least). I'm not looking for great customer service but I would appreciate more then a grunt and a nod. read more

The parking and the way it's situated off s super busy 4 lane...you can get blocked in easily. I wish the police would patrol this area..it's scary going in here by yourself at night...lots of transients. I too worry for the cashiers. I don't go here unless I have no choice. It's cool if they had the old lady train the new girl but when I was still asking for tobacco products they cut me off and asked for my ID while I was still speaking. Yes I obviously know I will be meeting ID for tobacco product. Luckily I wasn't born yesterday unlike these rude people who think they are cute bopping around to music while not letting the customer finish speaking. Their customer service is poor at best. I live nearby and come here frequently. I've never had a problem. My boyfriend comes here before he goes discing a couple times a week and has talked with the manager many times. Like I said we've never had problems. Until today...my boyfriend goes in to buy a six pack as I wait in the car and comes out with nothing. She would not let him buy it because she said he appears intoxicated?! Are you serious? He was as sober as you could be and did not doing anything to make it seem like he was. So then I go in. Wouldn't let me either...then goes on to tell me that he seems stoned? That's funny you just told him he seems drunk. And what's even more funny is that he is in the military and is clean as someone could be. You will be losing our service due to your disrespect. And this isn't about the beer it's about you being rude and accusing him of something that unbelievably untrue. Oh and you yelling at me as I walk out telling me to go somewhere else.
