For those of us who don't live there, Corbett is the sort of tiny little hamlet that one drives through (in the blink of an eye) on the way to other places, with very few reasons (and places) to stop and shop; the Corbett Country Market is basically the only exception to this rule. You're not even likely to encounter it, unless you happen to be headed to, or returning from Multnomah Falls along the Historic Columbia River Highway (highly recommended for its gorgeous views!), but if you do happen to pass by, a stop here is very recommended! They have everything here, from your standard convenience store staples, snacks and drinks, but also several other outstanding offerings: a hot deli (that includes pizza, chicken, sausages, wings and other things!), fresh baked goods, local produce and products, household supplies and sundries, surprisingly reasonably-priced gasoline (from an ancient, yet charming pump), and even liquor! Despite being out-of-the-way for the majority of Portland Metro residents, the Corbett Country Market has been around for over 100 years, which means they must be doing something right. This small convenience store is at the end of the Columbia river scenic highway. It's has few parking next to the shop. There's a gas pump but it was hard to tell if it was working. The store has a variety of snacks, drinks, sodas, candies, ice creams, bread, milk, grocery items and a meat shop as well. They sell liquors in the store too. Surprisingly the store had really good cooked food too. We saw pizza, chicken pieces, sausage, brisket, ribs, chops, pulled pork on display. Since we were really hungry we got two chicken legs with mac and cheese on the side. The friendly staff prepared the meal within couple of minutes. We sat down in the front corner of the store that had few tables. The chicken was moist and had a really good taste. Mac & cheese was decent too. Given the limited options around the vicinity, this shop is good place for a quick bite and grocery shopping. read more

Stopped by here on my way down from Crown House because my gas light came on, and I saw a sign that said gas. I had actually seen the sign on the way up, but hadn't seen where the gas pump was. Now that I saw it, I parked right in front of it. As soon as I finished parking, I could see that I would need to re park in order for the pump to reach my tank, but I was pumped in a legal way which made it obvious that I was there to use the gas, so I figured I'd straighten it out after I paid. As I walked through the door, I noticed an unexpectedly cute selection of items, and also smelled and saw some food. I started to think, after I get gas, I'll move my car and then look around and maybe get something to eat here. But these thoughts were interrupted by someone yelling at me. "You need to come in and line up this way!" Bewildered, I looked around. Was I the person she was screaming at? "Like this! This way!" I wanted to comply with her, but had no idea what she was demanding. I began to wonder if she was having a psychotic episode. What do you do if you walk into the market and the clerk is screaming at you with a really mean voice and hatred in her eyes? She looked like she was on a lot of pills. "So the gas can go in!" "Oh..." I finally responded, "Yeah, I need to re park my car, I can see that." She softened ever so slightly. "Well what can I do for you?" "Can I just get $20 worth of gas?" She began screaming at me again. "You need to park it so that the gas cap is next to the tank!" I was like, "Whoa," (the way you would say to a wild animal, which is how she was conducting herself), "I'm from California. I know how to pump gas." This put her anger on steroids. "YOU DON'T PUMP IT! WE PUMP IT!" At this point I interrupted her to sort of scoff at her and say, "Okay, I'll re park my car, there's no need to get upset." I kind of laughed at her and walked out with her still yelling. I was beginning to tune her out anyway cause it's hard to listen to people when they're screaming like that. I re parked my car. A man, who gave off the vibe of being her son? Came out and pumped my gas. I said thank you. I would want to check this place out again but seeing this lady would be a major deterrent. read more

Been going here for years and on a Sunday recently, had the crave for some bbq - got 2 ribs 2 pcs chicken and some mac and cheese - it was all dried out like made 2 days ago and sitting in the warmers there. Hope they get back on track as prices are too high - 19.99 way too much for that. Used to have great pies too - no longer. Corbett market is always my first stop when heading east to check out all the beautiful waterfalls. They have delicious food, and an extensive small market. They also have some fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a large beer and wine selection with a good selection of hard alcohol. They have some camping necessities and did I mention the steaks and chops that are available? Nice butcher case. Today I got a half a rack of ribs to take home for later. A couple of nice smoked chicken legs to munch on now. Their mac & cheese is really good as well. If you've never stopped in here, you definitely should. read more

This is a quaint little market that we stopped at because we needed gas. If you were looking for a regular gas station like we were, you might also pass by this location. You walk into this old town style market that has an array of cooked foods ready to order. Some of the cooked food present today was macaroni & cheese, bbq ribs, baked chicken, hot dogs, breakfast burritos, and home fries. This place is your one stop shopping while in Corbett, Oregon. They are a grocery, butchering, pizza making, beer & liquor store, and gas!! I ordered the scalloped potatoes, bbq ribs, and baked pork chops. Everything tasted great. The cashier will be the one who will come out and pump your gas on their lone gas pump. There are deer mounts on the wall and that decor works perfectly in this all in one grocery store. read more

We stayed in an AirBnB in the area so shopped here a few times during our stay. We thought the BBQ meats were very tasty, although could have used different sauces (both on the sweet side and red one was too heavy on the ketchup). Grocery selection is decent for the size of the store. Plenty of ice cream treats to choose from. Note that parking is limited. read more

Little tiny market with some fantastic BBQ! You'll find your basic necessities in the store and some good BBQ staples up front. Highly recommend the ribs! Mac and cheese can be a little touch and go with creaminess and seasoning but never "bad". I always stop here when I head out that way. read more

Pretty solid place for gas, snacks, and even pizza. Not much else around so luckily they have just about everything you could need.

I love this place is the sense of its convenience and larger selection (for a small country market). They have decent hot food as-well as produce. The reason for my rating is due to poor treatment towards the staff. I have heard too many stories of the employees being mistreated. As long as witnessing unkind treatment towards staff while i'm in the store. read more

BBQ ribs were PERFECT! Tender, meaty, smokey! I love the hickory sauce -- tangy and not too sweet -- my gal loves the mustard BBQ sauce. But you don't even need the sauce. You know it's good barbecue when you don't need the sauce. read more

I saw ants everywhere!!!! Clearly not very clean, and two of their employees got COVID-19 and they didn't shut down their store even to clean it!!! I have also seen/heard one of their employees using outdated & racist language as well as them not selling alcohol to a person of color but selling alcohol to their friend (while both were of legal age). The owners also have a streak of being incredibly rude to customers & employees. I personally wouldn't shop here if it wasn't the only convenient place to get gas & groceries if you're a corbett local. read more

Im writing a review on this wonderful out of the way destination market!!! Really worth the drive - on the old historic hwy towards multnomah falls -at a cool out of the way Country Market - really it is truely more than a Market!! From real yummy expresso's to homemade goodness- FOOD!! You can only decide for yourself really - it is amazing the in store smoked salmon, summer sausage and ... oh the HAM - from a pig you might know (cause it was raised right around here somewhere - cant get any fresher than a local pig!!) Around the corner from the pig somewhere - is the BEEF too - Summer sausage And their homemade BEEF JERKY is crazy GOOD!! Having enjoyed being there many times - Im a good judge: All that a regular Market has - groceries and household goods. Fresh meat counter too. We were passing through looking for a country market for a bottle of water. Ended up having a slice of pizza and a PULLED PORK SANDWICH! You will pay almost 20 bucks for a pulled pork sandwich and a drink at the other riverside restaurants, drive a little farther up the hwy and get a better sandwich at a cheaper price. Cyclists don't give them your business. My boyfriend and I were biking a long day up the gorge on a 90-something degree day. We bought some snacks and asked if they had a spigot so we could refill out water bottles. They said no. We asked could we get some water from their sinks then? We were out of water and it was hot outside. They said no, they "couldn't do that". We went outside, noticed there was a hose out back, and rode to women's forum to refill our bottles. This seems to be an obvious dislike of cyclists here, and a lack of humanity in general. I'm pretty sure they get quite a bit of business from cyclists coming through, and it isn't right if that's how they're going to treat people. read more

As a single pops...its nice to have a place to pick up din din so close. Patrick and Amy have really turned this lil place into a great place for wonderful homemade food. They are always adding new items but so far my favorites are Amy's jalepeno cheese dip and Patricks lasagna. You can also order whole pizzas, pick up ribeye steaks, or try in store smoked salmon. Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. We were driving up to hike Multnomah Falls and stopped by the gas station to buy something to use the restroom. The lady that worked behind the counter refused to let me purchase a bottle of wine even though I showed her my ID upon request. She asked all of my group to take our their ID even though it was MY purchase. Since we weren't planning on making any purchase during a hike, naturally, one of my friends forgot her wallet. We were fine to make another purchase to use the restroom, but the fact that the lady forced every person in my group to take out their ID for ONE bottle of wine was absurd. In addition to that, we were the only diverse group of people in the store. We left the store immediately. The girl working the cashier was extremely rude and we will not be coming back. read more

Best ribs ive had in a long time and very affordable. Charming to be able to see 10+ grills and smokers out back working on delivering freshly cooked meat. Only thing ill warn is the bathroom situation is not ideal. Two outhouses out back that are pretty icky. Staff friendly, but they don't always watch for customers at the deli counter. They get a lot of local customers, so I've had to wait at the front register for the finish of a conversation a couple of times. Now for the good part. I simply don't understand the reviews about their hot food! They will brownbag a pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw for you to take to the falls and enjoy at a picnic table!
