This gym has a decent amount of cardio machines, along with several squat racks (three of em) and a couple of pulley machines. For bench pressing, there's no conventional bench presses, rather, they have racks, where you can place barbell holders at and move over a bench so you have an impromptu bench press. They also have a decent amount of dumbbells. I really liked the crossfit area as they got racks to perform them silly kip pullups along with medicine balls and Olympic plates. They also have a decent padded section where you can do stretches. BATHROOM REVIEW: This is more about the locker room. Pretty decent, with no naked old men walking around air-drying their nether regions. That's great in my book. Sit or squat? Squat.... it's still a locker room :-P

Back in May 2022 before the place opened she joined with two weeks free. The opening was supposed…read moreto be in June. In June it was pushed back to July and it didn't open until September. She went in September (she is a teacher so only certain times work in the school months as opposed to the summer months when was told they were opening). She went for her couple of free weeks in September and decided to cancel. She wa sthen told it was two weeks from opening not two weeks when she first went so we found out they charged her another month on our credit card on September 23rd. She tried to get it removed on September 28th and they said she needs to give a 30 day notice. She signed a form that said the date then is October 23rd. Lo and behold we are charged again on the 23rd of October for the next month!! My wife had texted the owner Joe back on October 19th to verify her membership is over and we won't be charged again. No response. Yesterday she texted him again and asked why he didn't respond to the earlier text and his response was "it looks like your message from 10/19 was missed". Sure it was. Be careful signing up with the gym and read the fine print carefully. My wife's "two week free membership" has turned into $258 and three month membership. No shame in what they screw people out of.

The coaches care and provide each athlete individual attention throughout the case. If you've done much research at all on options for physical fitness, your'e almost certainly heard…read moreof CrossFit and may have images of elite Spartan warriors training by tossing boulders, or workouts so extreme that even the super-fit are left lying on the ground heaving. This is not that. Well, not quite... The Garage (formerly located in the East Village) is a fresh operation staffed by knowledgable and friendly coaches eager to share their enthusiasm for all that CrossFit can provide. The focus for training starts with an emphasis on good form/mechanics (safety) followed by consistency and then intensity. Workouts are varied each time to really drive toward a goal of truly functional fitness. I am a long way from Spartan warriorhood, but all the moves and exercises that make up each workout of the day (WOD) can be scaled to my current ability and strength. While many of the members here have carved themselves to elite fitness status, the attitude is far from elitist. I have not walked in once and not been greeted by random gym-goers. There really is a sense of community and support at this gym. If you're looking for a safe way to find your physical potential, The Garage is well worth checking out. This "box," as the CrossFit community calls the gym, is easy access off of Keo Way, just south of I-235 and North and is located where Owen Crist Towing used to be.

Amazing place! There are a ton of gyms in the metro area, but I recommend this place above anywhere…read moreelse! It is never crowded here and everyone is friendly! Their equipment is up-to-date with all current trend workouts. They offer cross-fit courses here also! Now to the meat and potatoes, I only know a couple of indoor basketball courts in the metro area and this is one of them! This is honestly the only reason I come here, for the indoor basketball! I shoot-around in the mornings and with their two full size courts, at most there is someone else using a half court. You pretty much get the court to yourself and practice as much as you'd like. The owner/manager Dave is very friendly and can help you with your fitness goals. The Orange Planet also offers private basketball lessons, just ask about the details. I believe they offer various other courses too, but I don't have any experience with that.
