I like it. Obviously doesn't have everything a $150- month gym has, but great location for me, and has what I need. Equipment and facility is cleaned and maintained regularly. You can do your own thing, or socialize - either is comfortable. I feel bad for management and employees. They recently installed new soap dispensers in the mens showers. It took about 2 weeks before 2 of the 4 had been pulled off the wall, and another week for the handles on the other 2 to be destroyed. They seemed like good quality dispensers, that had been properly installed. It's got to feel like "why bother caring". Most folks are fine, but it only takes a few oblivious fake-macho 18-40 men to destroy everything they touch. read more

Every time I come to this particular gym the staff are condescending, ignorant cucks. Today was the "Club Manager" according to his plastic little name tag. Apparently I don't belong here unless I show an "active" QR from the app. I walked in, and he stopped me as if I were shop-lifting. Aggressive and off-putting. "Excuse me!! Excuse me!!!" He practically chases me to the lockers because I had headphones in. "Your code doesn't go to anything. You aren't registered." What in the name of Jesus are you talking about?? You guys gave me this barcode, and I have been using it for 5 years, and have never been accused of trying to pull a fast one. "See? He says, it will make a sound, see?" Then he re-runs my barcode, but no sound comes out, so I have no idea what he is talking about. I tell him no one in five years has ever stopped me like this before. "I come to the gym about 4 to 5 days a week. "To THIS one?" he demands. "No, but I have been here twice before," I tell him, "with no issues." "Well you have to use the app...." then he drones on about the perks of having the app. Something about allowing friends and family in. (I am alone, so I have no idea why this is relevant, Mr. Big Aggressive Club Manager.) When I go, the equipment is often dusty or broken. I've been MANY times and this is one of my least favorite locations.

To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the deliberately complicated and frankly unacceptable process Planet Fitness has in place for membership cancellation. What should have taken minutes turned into an exhausting and completely avoidable ordeal. I went in person to cancel my membership, since my home gym provided no online cancellation option whatsoever. Once there, I was told I couldn't cancel because I was within the 24-48 hour billing window. Instead of assisting me, the staff member told me to come back after the billing cycle ended--as if most people have the time or flexibility to keep returning for a task that should be handled in one visit. When I asked about canceling online, I was again misled. I was told it was possible--but there was no cancellation button or option on the website. The only method listed was to send a physical letter by mail--an outdated, impractical process for a modern company. I had to rely on a third-party source to find out that the only workaround was to transfer my membership to another gym location--one that does offer online cancellations--just so I could finally cancel. That is beyond absurd. This entire experience felt like a deliberate attempt to trap customers in memberships by making the cancellation process as difficult and confusing as possible. The facility (once inside) is fine. The location seems to attract sketchy members. I had a girl run at me from across the room to tell me that I was " using her machine" even though she had nothing near it-water bottle, towel etc. I moved because I was not going to have her start a fight with me. She finished her few reps and walked away from the machine without wiping it down. It was too gross from her butt sweat to even consider using it after she finished. read more

This is the PF I go to regularly. The staff is nice, the amenities are cleaned often. It's a big open space. They have showers, mens and womens restrooms. Black card members can use the tanning beds, massage chairs, hydro massage beds and chairs, and other cool stuff. I've observed the most busiest times are 4-8 pm on weekdays. Otherwise, there is usually plenty of equipment and space to share. There's plenty of parking. Just don't be tempted to ruin your calorie burn with the ihop across the parking lot Unfortunately, at times other members can cause problems. Bad gym etiquette like not wiping equipment off is a member thing that happens, but that's not a stsff issue. Be mindful of security, too. I've had personal items stolen from my locked gym locker before. I recommend a combo lock, or keeping your keys and stuff in your car or with you in the gym. Overall, it's a great gym! read more

No hot water in the showers and no sign warning of it, was told it gets looked at every few weeks but doesn't get fixed, so leave time to shower at home. Other than that place is great. 1 more pay period to figure out the showers before I go elsewhere read more

The equipment is in good order. It is almost new equipment. The staff is reasonable and can help with membership questions. It seems like a fairly sterile place. The men's locker room: there are 2 urinals and one has been out of order for 2 weeks already. Showers? getting hot water here is not something you can assume. Showers have been cold or slightly warm for the few months that I have been going here. Why does this problem continue? I went in to get my membership canceled since there is a gym where I live now. The employee told me the account was canceled. That was a lie. My account was charged and my membership is active. Called the club (the district manager is JC) and they said that I have to go back in. This is rubbish. So they lie to customers and keep charging them. Canceling is a pain and reflects how terribly run this business is. Submitted a complaint to the BBB. Do not come here as there are plenty of alternatives around. The employees need to be better trained in regards to the terms of the membership agreements. When I signed up I paid what was explained to me as the start up fee of $39 and the monthly fee of $22.99 would be billed every month after that. They make it sound like it's a month to month membership and you can cancel anytime. However, you are agreeing to a year subscription. There's an annual fee every year that I was never informed on. When I went in person to this Aurora Planet Fitness location at the beginning of May 2023 to cancel my membership and to get clarification on some charges to my account, because I didn't want to pay another annual fee - I just want to cancel. The manager was very rude about it and I ended up paying more fees, but I left that day thinking at least my membership is canceled. It's now June 2023 and I have been billed again a new monthly membership. I am so frustrated and confused. The customer service here is awful! read more

Staff has zero integrity. I asked to use the hydro massage bed and he said it was out of order and suggested I use the chair. I said fine I don't mind either and he stated "no the deep tissue massage chair because all the hydro massage equipment is out of order" upon walking to the deep tissue chair another employee is asleep while using one of the hydro massage chairs. He jumps up and when I enter the room with the massage chair he gets right back on the hydro massage chair. After my 10 minute massage, he was still in the chairs and two other females walk in on him and he says you can use them. He gets up and leaves. Then the same guys that lied to me and stated the chairs were out of order began coaching these teenage girls on how to use the hydro massage beds. Don't recommend, make another club your home. Coming up on two years at Planet Fitness, and they've been instrumental in helping me lose over 100 lbs in a little over a year. I still love this gym. They keep it clean, it's usually not super crowded, and the towels are always in stock. I go twice a week for two hours per day. When equipment breaks down, they fix it promptly. My only gripe (and I'm not going to hold this against the gym's rating because it's not their fault) is some of the other patrons. Most of the gym goers are respectful of others and I've noticed that almost everyone is conscientious about cleaning up, but there seems to be a growing population of people who drive me crazy by plopping down on a machine in the 30 minute circuit area and then staying at it for 5-10 minutes or longer, screwing up the circuit for everyone using the area correctly. Even if you don't bother to read the rules, how hard is it to see that the equipment in this area is numbered and that there's a big light turning red and green overhead and people are switching in numerical order to the next piece of equipment when it changes?! Also, I don't mind if people pop into the circuit area just to use one machine, but can't you see I'm currently on #5 and deduce from that that I'm about to be on the #6 machine that you just sat yourself down on? For a long time, there was a sandwich board up in the circuit area reminding patrons that the area was for circuit training only an that it wasn't okay to hang out on a machine. That didn't totally eliminate the behavior, but it's gotten way worse in the last few months since the sign was taken down. Please bring it back, guys! read more

For the price you simply can't beat this place. They are marketing geniuses too .... let's serve pizza, bagels and candy to set people back so they have to keep coming lol. They also don't have any scales (or that I could find at least). I understand that the scale is not fully reflective of your progress but that's usually a staple in any gym, for obvious reasons. The equipment is plentiful and they have everything and anything I could ever want out if a gym. Cardio equipment, check. Free weights, check. Squat racks, check. TRX training area, check. Various weight training machines, check. They even have small group fitness classes as well as quick workout circuit training areas for those days when you're short on time. I joined just shortly before Christmas as my other member ship was about ready to renew. I visited a few of the area offerings and decided on Planet. I like their concept. Get up and get moving. No you don't have to be a body builder, you don't even have to want to be one. You just have to want to move and improve, whatever that means to you. I have belonged to the biggie for many years and was tired of always being advised I should buy personal training when I had a simple question. None of the staff really engaging me because I wasn't a fitness model and well... having to deal with the slew of Soccer Moms and High School kids because they provide child care and free memberships to HS students on a sports team. In the last few weeks I have been engaged by all the staff, including the General Manager who goes out of his way to give me a hard time (in a good way) and encouragement when he sees me. No one has tried to sell me anything because it's actually included in your membership. Yes.. they have classes which only consist of 5 people so you don't get lost in the crowd and a Design Your Own session as well. I don't need a $75.00+ an hour baby sitter. Show me what to do and let me ask some questions from time to time and I am good. In the last few weeks I have taken a few sessions, learned a few things I never thought I would be able to do at this stage of things and have a place to start. I have taken the higher level membership so I can bring a guest or use any of their clubs nationwide. I was actually impressed they had one with in distance of my mothers out east. I do love my Hydro massage and getting a little color on my call center tan has improved my outlook as well. Like any place else it does get busy, but there's everything you really need as the other 85% to get a good workout in. One of the other reviews that said.. people don't work out here is totally wrong. I know I have walked out of the place drenched from the work I have done. it's all about what you need and what you feel comfortable with some people want or need more then PF has to offer and some don't want or need to pay for all the things they don't need or won't use. Simple, straightforward, and affordable. At just $10/month there are plenty of cardio machines, weights, and legs, arms, and abs machines. Along the back wall, they have 3 separate areas where you can either stretch, complete a 30min work out, or do abs. I think if you pay $25/month, you can bring guests and use the tanning beds and massage chairs. You can also go to multiple gyms with the more expensive membership. They usually have specials going on where you only have to put $1-$5 down and there is no contract involved! It's easy to sign up online as well. The only downside is that at least a couple of the machines are usually out of order. If you're looking for an affordable gym that gets the job done, I would recommend this one if you live near the area! read more

This location is apparently having known problems with the homeless (nothing against the homeless only an issue with abusing the amenities) using the men's locker rooms as a living space to hangout, watch tv, keep all their belongs in lockers for several days, play their personal music on Bluetooth speakers, ramble to themselves loudly, and hog up all the shower stalls for many hours at a time, they even car camp out in the planet Fitness parking lot full time. I've spoken to the front desk staff about this situation and hopefully it get's resolved quickly as there are more locations and even other gyms in the area that I can take my business. This place is awesome. The staff is friendly, towels and disinfectant are plentiful. The place is clean and it's normal for patrons to wipe down machines after each use. It's pretty busy throughout the day. Gym goers here are pretty focused and quiet for the most part. There are two of each machine. I love this place. read more

Dirty gym with terrible staff. I had gotten a membership here just over a year ago when I was working in town. Went a couple time here and there, place was a little dirty and all around just not the best vibe. After I left town I had called and canceled my membership (this was around 8-9 months) I just recently realized they have been trying to charge an empty bank account over and over even after the cancellation. I called to figure out was was going on, they said the account was never canceled and that I couldn't cancel the account unless balance was paid. (22.99 for the last 8 months or so) They are asking me to pay this balance all because an employee didn't do their job and cancel my account. read more

I was just here today to check out the gym and sign up to see if I can get the ball rolling on my fitness again. I'm a runner so I was quite hesitant to come here and get my weight training on, but I was welcomed in and the gym was actually set up super nice and it actually felt like this could be a place I could work out without the judging eyes of people. Very friendly vibe, it felt as if their slogan, "no judgment zone" felt very appropriate here. So if you're coming here as a newbie and don't really know what to expect, this is probably the place for you. I had to wait a few minutes for the receptionist to come and talk to me about the plans and such, of which she explained to me pretty clearly and thankfully I understood everything she said. No real pressure or anything like that, nobody was forcing me to believe something I didn't wanna believe, it felt as if I was almost encouraged to sign up to better myself, without anyone telling me what to think, how to feel about the whole situation, etc. Even though this gym is a bit far from my place, I think I will join it, they told me to bring my routing and account number for my bank so that I can sign up, didn't let me work out with the day pass. The gym is super clean and it doesn't smell at all, again felt very welcomed and this seemed like the place that I would actually want to work out in, without judgment or anything like that. We shall see how it goes when I actually get to work out, but so far this gym has left a pretty good impression on me. Lots of equipment and I've never had a problem getting on a treadmill right away. The hyrdobeds are a great perk and relaxing to use after a long workout. I like using the 30 minute circuit. The only drawback is that many people don't follow the rules of using the weight machines and stair steppers in a clockwise direction with no skipping. It makes getting in a complete workout difficult when people camp out on machines. The staff have never enforced the rules (despite a sign saying that they monitor regularly) the many times I've used it. read more

I work out at this location at least five times a week. The parking lot has plenty of parking. All of the people that work there are so friendly and helpful. The tanning beds work well so be careful. I go in for 5 minutes. The red light therapy is tricky to operate at first so ask if you are unsure how to use it. The bathrooms are clean. The showers can run low on hot water so be aware of that. It seems busy around 6:30 AM but the other member are courteous. There are plenty of lockers. Four showers and three private changing rooms. The floors get slippery so be careful. They do not have a scale or I have yet to see one. One thing I noticed at this location is the white hand towels they provide to wipe the equipment. read more

This location is dirty. All the trash cans where full. There was floor all over the trash. Their bathrooms were gross. Plus their didn't even have anything to wipe down machines at several stations. I should have took pictures. Plus I even went to use their total body and it didn't even work. I asked 3 times for help and no one even helped. Price? Sure 10 to 20 bucks a month is affordable for some. And sure, it's a gym for those that don't want a "gym". I see it as more of a library with cardio equipment in it. I've never been in a place so quiet. The staff, not very friendly at all. The pizza, bagel and candy just seems to be defeating the purpose for some that go there. The equipment was good, more cardio than anything. The staff not very willing to assist with questions about the equipment, which is sad since people are wanting to learn to do things properly.
