They open the gym right on time and greet everyone with a smile, which makes those early workouts way more enjoyable. They're always willing to help or answer questions, and their positive energy really sets the tone for a great start to the day. One small thing--some of the equipment could be fixed a little faster when it's out of order. It's not a huge deal, but quicker maintenance would make the experience even better. I worked out here for about a month when I was in Denver for work. The gym itself is pretty big and the equipment is nice with lots of variety! And the hours are good. Very friendly staff as well! The equipment and gym by itself would prolly get a 4 or 5 star even though Most of the stairclimbers were broke the whole time I was there. 3 stars because 1) they don't have a week pass or a month pass you have to either get a day pass ($15) or sign a contract and pay to break it when you leave. And 2) Clientele need a gym edict class. People just leave their weights on the floor or on equipment. Tripod for influencers aren't uncommon either (Eye roll). For the most part, I like this gym but what drives me absolutely crazy if how often machines are broken and how long they stay broken for. This gym is just ok... Gym equipment: often times out of order and awaiting repairs. Overall, I like the variety of machines they have Restrooms are more often than not disgusting. No fans or ventilation. I wish this gym was a camera free zone. The amount of tripods and people recording themselves during busy hours is a bit much. I am a pretty consistent gym patron at the vasa. In the last year or so I have been working out at the Vasa off of Colfax. The morning staff Leo and Marquise are as the most professional gym attendants/staff since I have been attended the Colfax gym. They are diligent with the cleanliness and consistently trying to improve all gym goers experience at Vasa. They have also at times repair machines within reason to accommodate for the patrons. My only issue is that the cable machines, adjustable benches/ steam room and 25 meter track also the leaks in the roof have made it very challenging to workout. It takes a longtime to repair or replace machines that are broken. Attachment's for the cable machines are missing the rubber guards. Or worse case they're just missing all together. I stay loyal to Vasa because of the many location. I just wish that maintenance of the facility and gym equipment are addressed in a more efficient manner. V/R, Vince read more

Currently looking to get into a new workout routine and thought I give this place a shot considering they give a free three day pass. Upon arrival there was a minimum of four Associates who looked at me as if I need help "go figure " After explaining to them I signed a for a free trial I was handed an iPad sign a waiver a few personal information and then was told to enjoy. Not giving a tour I wasn't told the amenities hours of operation or even a single name. So you could understand where my confusion was coming from also where to go and where to Start off. I have been coming here for a little over a year and anyone who asks me about it I say that if it wasn't for Marquise and Leo who are there every morning when I show up at 5am. I wouldn't be at this location. These two always are very friendly when I walk in. I always see them walking around cleaning and very recently seen Marquise fixing one of the machines which I am sure probably isn't in his job description and if it is he's not getting paid enough because there's ALWAYS, non functioning machines that I see him fixing. The water in the water fountain is always hot. Not room temperature, hot. Or sometimes not working at all. A gym without water.... Wow. There's always cautious tape around the jacuzzi, the tv in the sauna never works, the power is constantly going off and buckets around the gym to catch the leaking water from the ceiling. All of these issues I've taken to Marquise or Leo and they always make me feel heard. I do realize they can't fix everything but they do their best to at least try. And Kudos to them for coming that early in the morning and having to hear multiple complaints about the same thing every day and keeping a positive attitude about it. Upon joining I was super stoked about all the amenities for the price, and yes-- I'm completely aware of the risks of going to a cheap gym. I was willing to overlook everything (messy toilet facilities, over crowding, lack of cable machine attachments, cramped coed sauna) for the amenities. The first day that I didn't wear my engagement ring I was approached by two men-- mid workout, while I had my headphones on. Gross. That's fine, whatever, just cheap gym stuff-- same thing would happen at Gold's. Rather at Gold's gym, when I reported catching a man recording me to the GM, I was asked to identify the man & provide the location and time of the incident. Immediately, footage was reviewed, and the patron was escorted out of the gym and asked not to come back due to a contractual violation. Today, when I caught one man recording me stretching while feet away from me on FaceTime (as well a questionable situation with a man who has his home propped up in the window of the basketball court facing the stretching area) I went to the GM. He told me that he would "speak to" the man I 100% caught recording me & I was dismissed. I didn't even get his name. I have not yet reviewed the contract I signed, but I plan on it-- as well as cancelling my membership. Super disappointing because I was really optimistic about this place. Just be careful if you're a woman considering this gym. Ultimately, the staff here will not protect you from predators in the slightest. read more

Don't get fooled by the low membership rates. This is truly a case of "you get what you pay for". $10 per month is pretty enticing (although there's also a $50 annual fee that they don't tell you about upfront.), but it's an adequate price for the environment. While the quality will certainly vary by location, the Vasa at Colfax and Chambers is certainly the most deceiving gym I've ever been in. It looks great from a distance, but when you get up close you'll see that it isn't worth it. The equipment is very poorly maintained, if at all. Several of the machines are in disrepair, and have been for months on end. Bench coverings are often torn or frayed, bolts are loose on many items making them unsafe, moving parts are not kept lubricated, and the locker room (men's) appears to be cleaned about once a week. There is very little observable gym etiquette. Many of the patrons here are inconsiderate to the point that it's almost unbelievable. Plates, dumbells and other equipment are strewn all about the gym because people will take them to another location and then just leave them there, rather than putting them back where they belong. People will walk right through a space where you're trying to do an exercise. They will wipe down a piece of equipment and then leave the sanitation wipe on the floor. And, tonight there was a FIST FIGHT in the gym and nobody did anything. The staff was completely oblivious to it, which brings me to my next point. The staff does almost nothing. I am always there at the busiest time of the evening (6-8pm). At that time, there are usually about eight to ten employees there. At any given time, you can always see 3 - 5 of them at the front desk goofing around and not paying any attention to what's going on in the gym. Then there will be two or three other staff members in the office (it has glass walls so you can see in) with their feet up on the desk, reclined back, playing on their phones. They are almost never out on the floor providing any service or management of the customers or the equipment. It's clear that this gym is not concerned with anything more than collecting monthly dues. It is clearly evident by the condition of the equipment and the oblivious, inept and careless staff. I would much rather pay 5 times as much for a better environment, cleaner facility, maintained equipment and reliable staff. read more

For the price it's a decent gym & you're able to get a good workout in. A lot of the fellow gym goers are some disgusting reptiles though with no gym etiquette, guess I should have expected that for a $10 a month gym in aurora off of colfax. Seems as though half the time the bathrooms have no toilet paper, which sucks when you chug your preworkout & have that emergency mid pump bowel movement. I live the closest to this Vasa but elect to Drive 20 minutes both ways to another Vasa because this one is always packed. On top of that no one puts their weights back and it's hard to find dumbbells from 5 to 30 lbs. The front desk people in the evening don't bother to check peoples passes and thats half the reason it's unbearably packed. I see teenagers just walking in in large groups not even checking in. It's also dirty with equipment often broken and you have to give your ID to get equipment for the cable machines because the people at this gym steal. There's been multiple break in in the parking lot. This Vasa isn't in the best area. I no longer attend this Vasa for all those reasons. read more

Vasa's newest location opened right before the beginning of year and it is BEAUTIFUL. I've been a member of the Buckley and Quincy location for years, but that gym and this new one are about the same distance from my house so I'm very excited to have two locations to choose from. I am also super excited to see that this gym is offering a number of classes between 6am-8am for non-zone members, something I've yet to be able to convince the Quincy location to do. It's really nice to be able to go to the gym before work without having to get up at 4am! All of the Vasa gyms have a huge selection of amenities for a very reasonable price.
