the hip thrusts machine has been broken since June or maybe earlier with no update on when it's being fixed. The issue with this is that I have to use the straight angled Smith machine instead to do the same workout, but I feel uncomfortable whenever there are grown men staring between my legs while i'm doing the workout since both straight smith machines are positioned opposite of the angled ones. In addition to this, during my visit at the gym today, the hip abduction machine was out of order, but there was not an out of order tag on the machine, so I found out that it was out of order while attempting to use it for my workout. Unfortunately this location routinely does not open on time on Mondays. I've sat waiting in the parking lot until almost 7am with no employee showing up to open. Due to the lack of staff it's almost impossible to know if or when this location will actually be open. It's a great location. Just wish it was open for their scheduled business ours. read more

Planet Fitness is more substantial than I thought it was from the outside looking in, it is not wide, but it goes far back. It has a good number of cardio machines in front of a good amount of televisions. An area to do. Circut training, some free weights, and clean locker rooms. read more

I belonged to this gym for almost a year. My goal was fitness without paying a lot for a membership. Having joined gyms in the past and being contractually bound, I decided that I would never ever join another gym, especially if it involved a lengthy contractual obligation. Going in to this relatively short contract, I realized that for the price, I would most likely be compromising on quality and customer service. I also realized that I would see people that I did not want to see because it was so reasonable. At first, it was fine. I enjoyed working out regularly with my daughter because we kept each other motivated and on par with our fitness goals. After awhile it became a meat market. I was going there to workout and others were going there to meet and greet. I soon became annoyed with what my goal for fitness had become. Unlike me, my daughter befriended a couple of people in the gym therein lies the problem. She gave some guy her telephone number and a problem ultimately arose. In an effort to bring me into the matter, he was somehow able to obtain my information from one of the front desk attendants. Though I narrowed it down to one of two staff members, I was pretty sure that I knew who the culprit was. When I received a cryptic text message from the gym member, I immediately knew that there was some impropriety occurring. The guy who sent the text message eventually admitted to getting my information from the staff member. Initially, he thought it was funny, but I was extremely upset and felt that privacy had been violated. I was infuriated that my name, telephone number and only who knows what other information would willingly be shared with a fellow gym member without my consent. I contacted the onsite management and even though I had proof of what occurred, they appeared unconcerned about the ordeal. However, due to the nature of how the incident was handled in-house, I also wrote a letter to corporate and they were just as nonchalant. Eventually, the remainder of our one year contracts were terminated without penalty. Hopefully, this location has made some staffing changes since I was a member. Other than that situation, the facility was always clean and the equipment was pretty decent. During the week, there were peak times when all of the cardio equipment was in use and other times around 7:30 pm and after, the facility emptied out. read more

I have went through the arbitration process as stated in my contract and not even the REGIONAL manager can respond to me. This location is a joke actually the whole company. Came in today to work out with my husband. He has a black membership so it's nice to be able to workout with him and not have to pay a dual membership. I was a little taken aback however as we walked into the black card spa/lounge and smelled the aroma of weed (marijuana) to be politically correct. The smell was very strong which in my opinion, shouldn't be anywhere in a gym. Moving onto to the bathroom in the back right corner of the black card spa/lounge and the toilet tissue dispenser was moments from falling off of the wall. To make things worse, there was literally 2 small plys of tissue! That is super annoying to me!!! Maybe staff were just unaware. I did let them know there was no tissue and the two gentleman thanked me for letting them know. I'm hoping they went back and changed it. This location is close to us and definitely beats the gym that was here previously! It's a regular gym! I love PF! When you walk in you are greeted by the front desk with smiles. The hydro beds /chairs are in the front of the gym for your relaxation. The locker rooms are very clean and spacious. I have no problem using the lockers or the bathrooms due to uncleanliness. Showers are also available and clean. Shower shoes are a must always regardless. The cleaning stations set up around the gym to clean the equipment is always stocked. Hours are compatible with my work schedule. Awesome gym all the way around! read more

Best location in Baltimore city by far! Very clean facilities, fully stocked drink coolers, bathrooms in good shape and clean. I continuously see at least 2 workers every hour refill bottles and clean areas of the gym entirely. The GM is very helpful and knowledgeable about the gym and his job. This gym is the worst. Went in today and immediately started sweating, it had to be at least 80 degrees in there. There's too many broken machines. There's 4 stair climbers and two are ALWAYS out of service. One of the rowers were missing the foot slot so it couldn't safely be used. The water fountains filter was on yellow and pours very slow. The bicycles were unstable, the entire top half wobbles as if the screws are loose. You definitely get what you pay for. read more

Planet Fitness Reisterstown has the worse customer service I've every seen. I spoke to a John, he wouldn't provide a last name and asked to speak to his manager Taynor Jackson but claims he was unable. I called about a billing concern and requested to receive a call back from manager because John was unable to assist. Instead my account was cancelled without a call back to allow me to explain the reason for the duplicate accounts. Hence I called back after receiving the cancellation email and John refused to allow me to speak with Taynor. Claimed that quickly he had left for the day. This planet fitness is the WORST I've been to so far, and I have a black card membership and I've been to 12 of them in the last three years. The staff are rude and not helpful at all, and ever since the renovation the rules and regulations have gotten out of hand. You can't even leave a simple sweatshirt on the floor next to the machine you are using because it is considered a "tripping hazard." I brought a very small bag with me, as I have medical equipment that must be carried on my person at all times. When I tried to put the bag down next to the machine I was working at, I was interrupted mid workout by several staff members multiple times, telling me that my bag was a tripping hazard and that I needed to have it ON my physical body. If someone is that close to me while working out, and trips on my bag, they probably deserved it! Ridiculous policies... will NOT be coming back to this location and if these policies start to show up at other locations I may just have to cancel my membership :( read more

This gym never has any employees working m. about 3x in the last month I have gone in the morning to go tanning and not one employee in sight. I have called while standing at front desk. What if there was an emergency there. The owner of this place really needs to evaluate his employees. Not to mention there is still Covid and no one ever clean equipment bathroom or floors there. Gets the job done as far as gyms go, but possibly the worst PF I've ever visited. I've never seen an employee clean or wipe a single thing. This location is terrible, the only hope this place has is eventually it's slated for an update. The machines are in real bad condition. Good luck finding a TV that works, no wifi, and at least half of the equipment has an issue (1 in 8 has both working TV and equipment). The place is clean enough and the staff is friendly but the equipment is complete garbage. It's as simple as that, if you don't care about things working as they should and only want to spend 10 bucks a month then feel free to join up, I did and now just hope they update because I am incredibly disappointed by the current condition of the machines. read more

Found out that this Planet Fitness is super close to my job so it has become my new summer home away from home. Currently, some renovations are being done in order to update the establishment and they hope to become fully operating within a few weeks. I am quite pleased with the customer service here, the trainers, and the friendly mood everyone is usually in. First time to use this Gym, June 19th 2019. A variety of equipment, the staff tries to be helpful and useful (like the gym is new, so are some of the staff members who are young and new at this). The neighborhood seems, mostly urban ethnic. So this gym is a improvement for the community. The enclosed mall is old, built in 1956. This gym is located on the strip mall outside area. Like a few other buildings on this property. So far found two downsides to this Gym, the relaxation area where the Massage chairs, are located is in an open area with the electric beds, which give off a lot of noise when in use. So the TV, while on, cannot be heard, but, the words are on screen, to read. My opinion is this is a bad location for the massage chairs (poor use of the floor plan for the relaxation area). The gym has more space then thought it would have as the building was being used as a clothing store before, that did not seem that big then. Another bad point discovered is the lounge area, tho, it's nice, people sitting in there, when the sun goes down can be viewed by people on the outside of the club or people walking by. Hello. This location is 10 times better than my home gym. My home gym is the Inner Harbor and it's gone down hill since the old manager left the location. I love how updated this gym looks. The black card room is beautiful and it's even a place to sit down and unwind. The bathroom could be cleaner, but overall the black card room is amazing. The chair time is longer than my home gym. The elipitcal and arch are updated. My ear phones actually work on the TVs without the static I get from the ones at the Inner Harbor. I love how up close they're. Love! The bathroom was a surprise. So open and organized. The mirrors are beautiful and the sinks are upgraded. They even have a air conditioner. I have never felt the air on at my home gym. I wish the Inner Harbor location was just like Reisterstown location. I wish this location was closer to me. read more

I Have been a member since 2010 at this location. I Inquired about a downgrade because i seldom use this membership.The front desk lady(k**** W******** )was very rude an told me that a Down Grade would cost me $5.64 so I responded well can i cancel and she was very eager to do so. Today this same gym is offering a $1down and $10 a month membership.As she was filling out my cancellation form She asked me" why was I canceling my membership" and when I said "Because im not paying $5.64 to Downgrade" I was told i cant use that reason". I have to say" Unhappy with billing" front desk can make or break any business it was horrible service not to mention the broken equipment, foot smell and lack of ventilation. read more
