I would really like to have a Total Body Enhancement machine in Ceres please

What is it with the Ceres Planet fitness? Literally every time I go to this location it is a horrible experience. Went there today because I had some business to take care of nearby. Went to work out on a machine that had been empty for several minutes. Guy walks up and says that was his machine even though he was on the leg machine and the chest machine and doing curls with the curl bar. He felt that the four pieces of equipment he was using were his own personal circuit of equipment. I told him BS and went ahead and did my set. Problem is that this gym has zero control of their gym floor and every time I go to this location there are issues with people's behavior and staff does nothing. Meanwhile I go to Turlock several times a week for more than Five years without a single incident. Ceres, get your shit together. read more

The Ceres Planet Fitness is my home gym. Not just because it's close to where I live, but because it truly feels like home. Julie (the manager) and her staff, including John and Tiffany, make this location a cut above the rest. I've visited many Planet Fitness locations across the country, and this one is my favorite by far. Every staff member greets me with a smile, knows me by name, and makes me feel like I belong. That welcoming atmosphere has been one of the biggest reasons I've been able to stay consistent on my health journey. Since joining in April 2025, I've lost 45 pounds and gained a lot of strength. The energy here keeps me motivated and coming back day after day. Thank you, Julie, John, Tiffany, and the entire Ceres PF team for creating something special. if I could leave a 0 star review I would Planet Fitness claims to be a "Judgement Free Zone," but I felt judged every time I walked in. The staff are rude and unhelpful, and a lot of the machines are constantly broken with no urgency to fix them. What's worse is the way they treat people of color--cold, dismissive, and disrespectful. No one should feel unwelcome in a place meant for fitness and community. I won't be coming back. This location seriously needs to work on customer service, equipment maintenance, and treating all people with respect. read more

On 2/17/25, I Naomi Irizarry had entered my local gym in my neighborhood and once I had entered the locker room to store my items, I proceed to exit and fill my water just to be tapped on the shoulder by an employee asking to speak at the counter. Once I get to the counter before I work out mind you, the general manager by the name of Julie, at the Whitmore location in Ceres/Modesto ca begins to inform me about a past due balance. My current month for February was just processed and my app said my next payment wasn't due until March 17th. I had NO IDEA about December not being processed and delinquent because when I brought my physical card in January, the lady at the front desk did not inform me and processed for January. Fast forward to yesterday, Julie said because December has not been paid, I needed to gather my things and leave the facility until I called corporate to "figure it out". I am appalled that the general manager, seeing me be a member since 2019 and had every payment paid on time with the exception of December, which in my opinion was not my fault and a misunderstanding, would treat a member like this. She didn't offer an alternative solution other than needing to pay but also warned that I could be double charged if I wanted to process the same card because the payment was "pending". ????? So I paid for February already and was denied access for a payment still pending for December? I'd like to speak with either someone who is above her title and or someone who can help with this unfortunate circumstance. Being a local and now being treated like this in my own community makes me reconsider paying any more money into a business who treats their members like this. As I continued to email the social response team after THE OWNER brushed this under the rug, they refuse to acknowledge my complaint and refuse to give me the HR number. Do not come to this location! I've been coming here since it opened. However, since last year it has been getting worse. The only good thing about this gym is the staff. They're really nice and do their best to keep the gym clean. That's why I only gave them 3 stars. They took away the trainers who would teach us how to use the machine which is supposed to be part of the package. So instead of dropping prices, they raised it. Since last year, the gym has been over crowded and too many people come in groups and hog up the machines which makes it difficult to complete a workout. I mean I'm glad people want to get healthy, but Ceres is growing too fast and we need another Planet Fitness in our town. Also, it's been really hot inside the gym lately and very stuffy. One time I walked in, then walked out because it was way too hot. I have pulmonary and a heart condition. They would have had to call 911 if I stayed and then passed out in the gym. read more

Not a bad gym, but when it comes to the Ceres - definitely prefer In-Shape. This planet fitness location is missing a lot of equipment compared to the Turlock location. I used to drive to the Turlock location Planet Fitness because of their better layout and equipment. read more

Been here a few times while I'm the area and the staff is definitely there to help and always welcoming. The gym stays clean and you can tell that the crew takes pride in assisting and making members feel comfortable, always greeting and ready to help. Jordan helped me out with a club issue I needed assistance with and went above and beyond to help resolve a technical issue. I've had multiple interactions with staff that have great customer service. Great location, awesome management. read more

Been a member for over ten years. Today as many others while in the 30 minutes zone two members refused to rotate. As the employee asked them to move they still refused to move. And no action was taken. The sales pitch to me was the 30 minute zone. Why have it if you don't enforce it? Then they refuse to let my wife use an empty massage chair because I'm the black card holder. It's not the $20 bucks folks it's the principle. Very disappointed! Worst Gym ever! People do not clean after themselves. I have yet to see the employees clean the machines. It's extremely pack all the time. Their "crowd meter " is very in accurate. After covid closed them down. We called to cancel before they reopened. They said ok sorry to see you go. Got charged every month and I called and tried to cancel again. Even though I submitted a dispute with my credit card they still didn't cancel my membership. I called again and they agreed to do it over the phone but I was really supposed to go in. Refused to reimburse me the annual fee. Wouldn't recommend them. Nope. I don't think I should have to go in to cancel when I didn't go in to sign up. Response to reply. Obviously you misunderstood. Not safe for the LGBTQ+ community, The manager here is pathetic and unprofessional and obviously discriminates against different genders, had a couple of interactions with this person and was made felt uncomfortable in a supposed " safe environment, If the MANAGER wasn't laughing at my voice they were judging my appearance, Pls steer clear from this gym , * corporate please train your future employees Gyms are supposed to be a place of encouragement and acceptance no matter how you look or sound. Really like this gym although it is really packed at times you can still get a workout in.

This location is missing a large amount of equipment compared to the Turlock location. Very minimal equipment in the abs and stretching section, and legitimately no equipment to aid stretching which sucks. Used to see employees cleaning all the time. Now it's rare to see anyone wiping down both in the gym and the locker rooms. Makes me not want to shower there anymore. I left a water bottle and headband on a treadmill by mistake and 2 days later it was still there. Also some of the equipment looks and sounds (some of the equipment needs lube) neglected. I get they have masks on but employees will literally walk around and look at people with the most rude stare. I saw one patron (older lady) pull her mask down for like 10 seconds to obviously catch her breathe, and a female employee with braids made a B line right towards her to "remind" her to wear her mask. Then the same employee walked around the place having an conversation on the phone with her AirPods in loud enough for everyone to hear. This gym is great. It's a large enough gym where even if it gets busy it doesn't seem to busy. I like the machines and the layout of everything. However only 3 stars because I HATE that their fans are on so high. It's impossible to get a good sweat on. I wish they had it on low. I find it hard to sweat. And when I do the fan ruins it all. Please please turn down the fans. read more

I just went into the gym to cancel my membership because I am still not comfortable going due to COVID-19. I would of liked to have gone back sometime next year when hopefully things settle or what it looks like once my girls go back to school. I wanted to get reimbursed for the month of March when the gym closed down and because we got an email saying we were. It turns out that not only were they going to keep my dues of $40 but also my $10. I had to have cancelled the gym 7 days prior to have gotten the $10 back. What???!!! We were and still are in the middle of a pandemic how should I have known to cancel!! Well I was a loyal customer for two years and I will no longer be. I don't see how a person in her condition can manage a gym!Unbelievable... she has zero customer service or service recovery skills, all she wants to do is argue and escalate the situation.
