This is the PF on 43rd and Pulaski and I have had pretty bad experiences every time I tried to visit this facility. The first experience I had was in Spring 2025 and the employee who answered the phone was giving me misinformation about starting up a membership and having to create an account by downloading the app on my phone. I called again to speak with another staff member and they cleared up the misinformation regarding having to download an app to create a gym membership. When I let the other employee know about a previous phone call I had with a different staff member, they quickly brushed off my suggestion that they work on their answers to the public. Not long after that initial instance, I tried to create an account and they couldn't create an account for me, because they were having computer technical difficulties for an entire day or two. Another time I wanted to just peek inside the gym just to see what the facility looks like. A staff member stopped me and told me that I needed to fill out a waiver form. I told the staff member that that was not necessary and I would be leaving promptly. The staff member didn't even try to say hi to me. I just tried to visit this facility again this morning in December 2025 to try and create a basic membership. I wanted to use my health insurance and the staff member who was assisting me didn't bother to ask if I would be using insurance and instead directed me to download the app, which I didn't need to do to begin with. Another staff member began helping me, but refused to complete my membership. The staff member wasn't sure how to create an account using my health insurance and when I asked to speak to the manager, the staff member informed me that the manager wasn't going to be in until later in the afternoon. I began telling the staff member that their location has the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Planet Fitness. The staff member kept cutting me off too. It has been nothing but a waste of time, because staff are not properly trained and incompetent in servicing the public, they are rude and disrespectful. There's too much traffic on Pulaski and good luck getting to the gym or leaving the gym around 7-8am and again around afternoon during school weekdays I heard that the location is kind of small and there's not a lot of equipment anyway, so maybe it's best that I didn't go there. Worst club ever!!!!! I drive 30 min to get to this location and 30 min into my workout a staff member Hispanic Male with glasses Rudely interrupted my workout to tell me my small bag was not allowed in sit in a corner in the back of the gym. I was doing bridges and needed my resistance band (which I carry on my bag) and he taps me on my shoulder to interrupt me and say I couldnt have my bag with me. I only had my sweat towel and a resistance band in it. It's not like I had a huge gym bag or anything? The fact that he made me stop my workout and take my headphones off to threaten me that if I didnt put my bag in a locker that I would have to leave. Who does this? I hate that I'm unable to finish my workout sometimes because majority of the machines are taken. There's also not much space to do free weight exercises or to stretch. I was pretty scared to get back into the gym after stopping for a long time. My first impression when I came in was great. Not what I was expecting based on the reviews. Lots of nice people and the front desk people are very nice and non judge mental completely different experience than when I came into charter fitness. Everyone was focused on their own thing and staff offered to help a lot so it was easy to get back into the flow of things. The planet fitness app has workout plans and diagrams and videos of how to use the equipment. It's a really clean place and the locker room is great. I have no idea what the other bad reviews are talking about. Definitely going to stay. read more

Taking human nature into account what I have to say doesn't matter because people are going to do what they want no matter if common sense states they shouldn't. DONT charge me to not have the amenities I require. Don't install vanity mirror and only have one urinal. I need to stop because we're in a contract not just me, every other body in this gym, and I'm not only talking about the contract signed to become a member but the social contract we should adhere to by not acting like animals. THE GARBAGE IS WHERE THE GARBAGE BELONGS, NOT THE URINALS. Jesus the amount of maskless people I saw. It really was jarring. People taking off their masks while they are on the treadmill and lifting weights. When it was only one person, I was fine with it. But when I saw 3-4 people do it, I got spooked. And NO ONE is social distancing. I mean it really was packed in there. They are not counting how many people come in and out. I appreciate that gym membership is only $10 a month, but you really get what you pay for here. Not only does it get smelly, but machines are always breaking down. When machines breakdown they don't get fixed for days to weeks! There are 3 machines that have literally been broken for more than 3 weeks now. As of the past couple days it seems like this location was having some kind of corporate visit or something because they actually placed scented things around the gym which they usually don't do. If you don't mind not being able to use certain machines due to being broken for weeks, then this is the gym for you! I plan on trying a different location. read more

Too small, smelly and dirty especially at night when there seems to be 100 people crammed in there. The staff in the morning during the week are friendly. Trainer is cool. The free weights only go up to 60. Good place to start if you're a beginner. Lockers are really small too.... thought those would be upgraded too when all the remodeling was done. I see a lot of sweat stains on machines, especially stairmaster. Don't trust that people are cleaning up after themselves. read more

The facility as a whole is very very clean, well organized and has mostly every machine/equipment someone would need. The drawback: it's a little small. I haven't been to any other PFs but from the outside, they look spacious. This one seemed to squeeze all the equipment together in one big room. But I guess I prefer having most of the machines there and no room, compared to half the machines there and spacious. They are open 24/7!!!! I workout pretty early, so knowing they are open at whatever time is definitely a plus. The price: $10 is a deal! But.. READ the contract. I was glad I found out that getting the $20 was a 1-year contract (although they advertise NO CONTRACT outside) right after i signed up and was able to downgrade to $10 one. There is a $39 fee for starting the $10 membership, and no fee for $20 membership, so in reality, they are just trying to find ways to charge you fees. $58 fee if you cancel the $20 membership fee within the first year. I just needed this gym for 1 month, winter break from school and my school gym is free for students. i need something closer to home. So, $39 start up fee + $10 monthly fee = $49 for a month.. not bad compared to other gyms. Staff: they all seem young, and are very friendly, even if you're the type to walk in there at 5:30am to workout. When I tried downgrading, the manager was very friendly about it and there was no hassle. They could probably switch out their paper towel and spray in exchange for wipes to wipe down the machines. read more

I'm currently a member of Women's Workout World. They have great group fitness classes but, whack hours. I want to workout after 2pm on the weekends! I'd been searching for new gym. While shopping in the area, I saw the PF. I liked that it's open 24/7 and only $20 a month. I joined spontaneously. I wish I would have taken a tour or a free trial (if offered). This gym was built for men. It does not have an aerobic area, no group fitness classes( small group workouts with a trainer- limit 5), no aerobic step gear, and no stability balls. There is a small area where one can stretch. Large enough for one person or two people if you are working out with a friend. If you like boring cardio machines they have lots of them. If you also like tedious weight machines, you are in luck because the gym has quite a few. The gym is super clean. I always see staff cleaning. Which is extremely important. Bally's and WWW are disgusting but, I'm not mysophobic. PF has a contract and to break the contract you must pay a fee of $58. An annual fee is due every June in the amount of $38. The fees aren't a deal breaker, however, the lack of aerobic gear and an aerobic area has prompted me to end my membership in May. P.S. no kids club read more

this facility used to be well run, clean, and staff would roam the floor to ensure that clients were practicing safe guidelines. Today, Feb 12, 2022, it was dirty, the womens locker room had paper and salt on the floor, the sinks had not been cleaned, and the toilets smelled like urine. I mentioned to the from staff, the gentleman said ok , but the girl working the facility did not clean it. 2 hours later, the same paper was in the floor snd it still smelled like urine. read more

I made a YELP account specifically to rate this place. I've been to several Planet Fitness locations in several states (Texas, NY, California even Puerto Rico) but have never had an experience like I did here. The staff was friendly but looked like two teenage kids incapable of managing such a facility. The locker rooms were dirty and unkept. No handsoap and urinals were a mess. The worst part was the fact that this place was clearly OVERCROWDED, to the point where public safety was at stake. People on top of people in mats area, no treadmills available (there are at least 25-ish), weights nowhere to be found. I highly doubt anyone is keeping track off how many people are in the building at once but they really should. I will never return to this location and I'll be reaching out to corporate. read more

If you are in the neighborhood, this is an ok gym. They have the basic equipment needed for a workout. The staff is young, but are usually professional. It is usually crowded around 8ish and in the evenings around 6ish (I guess it's a good thing). It is clean and people are usually good with cleaning their equipment after they are done with it. One thing that annoys me are their "rules,'' but heck, for $20 a month (because I take my hubby with me) I guess it's ok. You get what you pay for pretty much. I prefer Xsport, but again, PF is only $20 a month. Overall, it's a basic gym. Nothing fancy. No zumba classes, no aerobic classes, just a basic gym. read more

The ceiling seems to be leaking every time I use to go. Some machines are usually broken. Body order is another thing people need to look out for. Like wow it stinks. I love my new gym! After shopping around at the neighboring competition, this fitness facility is the best choice hands down. The staff is friendly, the facility and equipment is kept clean and compared to other gyms, PF is a bargain! The gym capitalizes on creating a safe environment to get fit....no intimidating muscle lunks taking up the mirrors, grunting and slurping from jugs of water. I paid $10 to join and $20 monthly for unlimited use of the 24 hour gym, including tanning, and access to the hydro massage bed and massage chairs. I have never waited for equipment even at peak hours. I am also able to bring a friend anytime for free. Parking is plentiful and Pete's Market and Target/Starbucks are both conveniently located right next door. The "eye-candy" isn't too shabby either. A no frills membership is also available for just $10 a month, which includes basic use of the gym and equipment only. There are a few additional fees for dropping out early ($50) and an affordable annual membership fee ($50), but the sales staff was very clear about how it all works, so I wouldn't exactly call these fees hidden. I would highly recommend Planet Fitness for value, condition, cleanliness and availability of equipment, and friendliness of the staff. I have paid far more for far less at other gyms. read more

You think they would want a new member they would show my guest the perks of being a member. It was so hot they didnt seem like they had the A/C going. Victor and his staff are fantastic. I've been to about 20 or so locations since joining PF in another state. The team that works here are ALL very nice, professional, upbeat, courteous, helpful. I get welcomed when I arrive, and sent off with a "have a nice day" or "take care." The location itself is perfect for me as I work close by and try to use my lunches for workouts 2-3 times a week. Always PF-clean. Good Wi-Fi. Plenty of equipment to go around. At least at the times I workout, never so crowded to the point where you're bumping into each other. The music is never too loud. I use the hydro-massage table and massage chairs as well, which are a great way to ease the pain of sitting at a desk all day. No complaints. I'm a happy customer. read more

This is the 3rd gym I've been to over the past 5 years (other 2 being Cardinal/charter fitness and Blast) and this was by far the best. It is very clean, there are always an abundance of paper towels and spray cleaner available to use. And they have a great amount of Cardio and Weight equipment. Now unlike other gyms they won't hold classes since there is no designated area for them or the space to have an area for them. It is a gym with the basics. Cardio, and weights. Which for me is all I need. But if you are someone who needs more stuff this may not be the place for you. read more

Compared to Xsport and LA Fitness this gym is way smaller and doesn't have as much work out equipment and space, but it does have the most popular workout equipment. All the machines work great, it's very clean and everyone is on point when it comes to sanitizing the equipment after usage. I give it 5 stars because its 24hrs and it honestly has a great environment. This isn't a hangout gym were groups take over equipment for hours and people drink $7 protein shakes out of a styrofoam cup. It's headphones, music/ fitness apps, sweat like crazy then go home. Definitely a judgement free zone because everyone's in their zone. I haven't gotten a membership yet because I haven't needed to with the +1 program for members, its $20 a month and you can bring a friend anytime for free at any location, doesn't get better than that :) read more

So, I thought I would check out this particular PF since my home gym was not open 24 hours yesterday. Upon checking in, I was told that i cancelled my membership last year. I didn't. The rude staff member tried to argue with me about the validity of my membership. I explained to him that I was just at another PF yesterday and had no issues with checking in. I pulled up my club member agreement which he refused to see, and explained that I'm definitely being billed every month for my current membership so there is no way I cancelled anything. Long story short: he states that I need to talk to someone about it. I'm confused at this point, because HE IS an employee there and couldn't figure it out. He's like well you need to talk to your home gym and figure it out before you can come back here. He had an attitude and told me he would allow me to work out tonight. That whole ordeal killed my vibes, but got a good work out in. The place is also tiny af. Won't be returning here. read more

Absolutely horrible service I sat there for one hour today trying to sign up, the two employees at the front desk could not sign me up because they had a new system which they said no one bothered to trained them on how to use it. I'm an ex-charter fitness member and this place blows charter out of the water. First of all, it's clean. From the showers to the air inside this place, it feels nice to be inside. I've gone mostly in the mornings and there are always cardio and weight machines available. I've never had to wait. The one time I went after work around 6pm it was busier but still no wait for any cardio equipment that I wanted to exercise on. For $10 a month this is a great place for the price. read more

I used to go to LA Fitness, but then I started working somewhere new and the hours at my new job just didn't work out with the hours of LA Fitness. So I decided to sign up to Planet Fitness one night online, and it was so easy. I LOVE THAT ITS 24 HOURS!! I came in the next day and filled out some paperwork and got to working out. Sure this gym is smaller, but it's more than enough for me. I come here to sweat, and I leave. I love that there's no grunting macho dudes. I really do feel like it's a low-ego, no judgement zone gym and I like that. I got the black card membership for $20 a month and that includes the gym (obviously), access to ANY location, tanning, massage chairs, and the hydromassage bed. So dope. And I can bring a friend for free. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the place is SO clean, which I APPRECIATE GREATLY. The locker room always smells so great. Anyways, I definitely recommend this gym. I love coming here! And I love that I can come at literally whatever time I want, which will usually be late night after work. :) read more

Signed up for a membership on Wednesday, worked out on Thursday. This facility is very clean, it has a lot of equipment to use that is always available. Of course being open 24/7 is great for my schedule and lifestyle. The staff seems to be very nice. Anthony, the personal trainer, is very nice, a little quiet, but professional. Training with him was great, he was flexible (training wise) and watched how well we were able to move and how far we could go and adjusted accordingly for our first workout. He's helpful to all patron's needs and is great at multi-tasking. He was able to count our reps, keep us on track while answering other's questions regarding his schedule, workout information, cramps, advice. The Black Card membership seems to really be worth the little bit extra, but we are going to see how well we can stay on track ourselves and reward ourselves with the Black Card Membership. That includes the tanning, massage bed, which looked amazing, massage chairs, 1/2 off drinks, unlimited access to all locations and a few great little perks. Just hope I can keep up with working out. read more
