This is a nice and cool place to chill and relax while running or cycling while getting fit.This is a wonderful place to work put or just getaway from the daily grind. There is every work out equipment needed for your desired routines. I came here for over ten years. After I had a baby I moved to more child friendly facilities such as the YMCA. I liked being about to go to this location when I was working in the area. They have a Total Body Enhancement machine. The locker rooms are well laid out. The stretching area is rather small so it could be a bit hard to fit space but otherwise the workout space is well laid out. I was also happy that they have a Hydromassage Bed and not just the loungers so many locations are downgrading to. read more

a cool place good machines clean. i feel like there could be different machines. there's multiple of one machine. i get if someone is on it and someone else wants to do the same machine. but there's machines that're missing for different muscles groups. an overall good place though. read more

I hope I'm leaving this review in the right place. I'm from Michigan, and I was down in Indiana for the weekend. I went to PF Mishawaka and it was closed, so I went to South Bend and I'm SO glad I did. Gwen, greeted me instantly and showed me to the locker room since I hadn't been there before. She was so sweet and a breath of fresh air! The locker room was spotless, and smelled wonderful. They had every single solitary pc of equ that I wanted/needed in order to do my routine, accurately calibrated and in sensible locations of the gym. Everything was full (towels, spray,) everything was clean, and organized. AND Check this out - EVERYTHING WORKED. All the way to the BT in the stand up tanning booths! It was so nice to finally press a button and not get frustrated. Kalamazoo, Portage, Grand Rapids, etc.... step it up. Seriously. Thank you for making my day, Gwen! I'll be back, for sure read more

Best planet in NWI!! First and foremost I would like to say this planet is so underrated. I have been to locations in Lansing, Hammond, Schererville, & Saint John. This facility is by far the MOST cleanest one yet. I have gone training in the am and pm. It doesn't matter what time anytime I go the staff here is CONSTANTLY wiping down equipment and over cleaning every area. I don't know who the manager is at this location but they deserve a raise because the staff here is on it. I definitely recommend this location. There's nothing I like better than clean workout equipment. 12/10. read more

policy in this gym for payment amongst other policies is absurd. you cannot sign up unless you give them direct access to your bank account as a second means of payment. can't use two credit cards, has to be a bank account Hard pass! read more

I have had problems with my membership since the moment it was established. In each attempt the staff was utterly clueless, arrogant, racist and rude. The pf website is also utterly useless. I cannot access my account. I attempt to get my username and/or password emailed to me, but the system does not do so. No one on the phone has enough experience or intelligence to BEGIN to resolve the issue. They also either refuse to provide access to someone with the authority or ability to remedy the matter - OR THAT PERSON DOES NOT EXIST I am trying to transfer my membership to another club. I cannot get this done in person or on line. I cannot cancel my membership. WTF ... who is running this place? As far as I can tell it's a silverback gorilla with shorts that are too tight. read more

Nice location. Little bigger location than Schererville Indiana! Very clean fitness center. Very nice staff. There is more stuff on the 2nd floor but the only problem is there's no elevator in this location. There's only stairs. It's not accessible I'll be def coming back since I'm a black card member from Hammond Indiana because I work down the street. read more

This place is run by inconsiderate people. They like to harass you and they are very rude. There is this specific blonde girl who works here who is rude and has an attitude for absolutely no reason. I asked for help with a machine because I wasn't sure how it worked, she gave me the dirtiest look and told me she was busy in the rudest tone even though I saw she wasn't doing anything, so I waited and asked again a few minutes later and she yelled at me "don't you see im doing something" and she was on her phone!! The tanning is useless! Wasted time and energy! Not too mention lotion, which is not cheap!

Great spot for a comfortable workout for a very reasonable price! They have pretty much all the major equipment...though I would like to see a rowing machine; I would also suggest that they change one of their very large changing rooms to another shower (they only have two and an ADA one with poor water ; gets a little tight around 8a9a working time). Also they don't have a pool obviously but for the price and friendliness of the staff you can't beat this place! read more

Overall this is a good location. It is very clean and well staffed. However, it is a little crammed. The space has TONS of cardio equipment and leaves the free weight area a little crammed. Been in the location 5 times and have yet to be able to access a bar and have only been able to secure a bench once, which are also too close together for comfort. I also have difficulties finding a space to lay my mat for core work and stretching. read more

I really enjoy working out here everyone is very friendly. My favorite staff persons are Kara & Caleb, they are extremely helpful and ALWAYS SMILING and making me feel comfortable when I walk in the door. On top of them being awesome in helping out and very outgoing I am constantly watching them clean and making sure the place looks good and functions properly on top of making sure all clients are well taken care of in a timely manner. Disappointed in level of service after two years of being a paying member. Called to cancel my membership since I couldn't do it online because I wasn't committed and just wasting money. PF does not let you cancel online or over the phone. Their philosophy seems to be make it as difficult as possible...come into the club or write a letter. They charge you an annual membership fee for what I don't know. Although I know when my monthly fee comes out I have no idea when they charge the annual fee. Apparently I was 2 days past when this is charged and they refused to entertain reversing this. I get that it is probably in my membership document but just feel like they could have been more helpful over the phone in the first place and then more flexible when I came in considering I had been a member for two years. It's just the principle of the thing. I was considering picking up the lower membership in a couple months just to supplement my YMCA membership so I had more flexibility in times to work out while not wasting too much money, but I will now look at Anytime Fitness because of the poor customer service. read more

Staff is rude, blank, expressionless teens that have less personality then a dead flashlight battery. the manager with the nose ring is super rude i even heard her kick out a grandson with his grandmother because she didn't have a membership and he tried to use his free plus one pass for her or something. And there ARE lunks in there wearing stringer tanks slamming weights down constantly theres this one guy that sweats on every piece of equipment and never cleans it up i had to literally wipe his greasy sweat off the bench after he was done. Saddest thing is no one does anything about it because they're all friends up at the register he starts joking around with the staff after he's done working out. The entire place is cheerful as a morgue and thats putting it lightly only time you hear something nice is when you're leaving and they say have a nice day, because they're happy to see you leave. read more

If you are disabled this place will not help when other people park in handicap spots. I have had to complain 3 times. I have had my wife drop her membership because of this and a veteran friend. I saw someone park their car in a spot with no pass. I went to tell the manager (was not Amber) and just too see what could be done. If you speak to the manager they brush you off and say "we don't police the parking lot." Also that "you can call the police." Which is fine..I understand that. I just wanted to know what their policy was. Their policy is to be rude and snarky. Apparently they take complaints about dirty equipment more seriously than making sure disabled customers have equal access. I'm paying the same amount as everybody else, but my complaint isn't worth consideration. I'll make sure next time to exercise in the back of the gym so as not to inconvenience anyone who works there. Can't drop weights or use real lifting equipment cause people might feel bad. This is the least expensive gym membership I've ever had, and probably the best. I love all the space it provides, unlike other gyms where everything is crammed in. The massage chairs are great reward after an intense workout! The staff is also very friendly and keeps this gym nice and shiny. read more
