I really don't understand why this place has such a low score. We are just in for the day so I can only comment on my experience today, but the equipment is newer, on a Sunday late morning. It was very quiet and everything was available and the place is super clean. Staff were super friendly And we found everything we needed to get a good workout in this morning. One of Fort Smith best kept secrets that shouldn't be a secret. Fort Smith is lucky to have this in their town and the people who have lived here for years KNOW it. This is the only place in town that spares us from having to pay overly high prices at a less than stellar gyms. Absolutely LOVE this place. I've never had a problem with anything being dirty like the other reviews have said. So I'm not sure which gym they are going to. I go around midnight 6 nights a week and let me tell you, the employees clean like crazy. In places you would have never thought either. EVERY NIGHT! You really can't beat the price of $25 a month for unlimited tanning, massage chairs, and all the fitness machines you need. And open 24/7. When I say 24/7, that also means 2 staff members there to assist you anytime needed. Jessica is the one who signed me up and is there during the evenings and she is AWESOME!! I'm not sure about the daytime, but night is never crowded and everyone is very pleasant. I've been to several 24/7 gyms and this by far is the BEST! Not to mention it's 1/3 the cost. My husband lives in Fort Smith and has a Black Card membership. I live in Dallas and this was the first time I used the facilities as his guest. The woman who checked me in was rude. It was not a friendly facility. I am due to move to Fort Smith in a few months and need to find a home gym. Planet Fitness will not be the gym I go to. The woman who checked me in told my husband there was only 1 massage chair and water chair working. He had to wait until one was available. Once he sat down, another customer sat in the so called broken chair. Your employee lied to him. Two towel dispensers were out. I wasn't given a tour or any customer service that would bring me back to this gym. Your employees care more about their cell phones and talking to each other than keeping your customers happy. Happy customers bring in more business. read more

I personally have no idea why there are any bad reviews on the staff at this location. I think possibly they are just old reviews that don't reflect the current state of this place. I have been to multiple Planet Fitness locations in different states and I had to switch my membership over to this one and the manager Brittany was extremely helpful and kind. Every other staff member I encountered was also friendly. This location also has a very great layout one of the best I've seen and a ton of benches in the free weight area. Very clean, plenty of supplies to wipe down equipment. Don't let any bad review deter you this is a great location & staff. :) read more

For 10dollars every month, you just cannot find better in town. I go late at night,usually between 11 and 2 in the morning. There is hardly anyone,it's very relaxing to work out. The staff have always been pleasant, and the cardio and other machines have never given me any problems. All of them are brand new and you can tell they are kept in good working conditions. Be warned between 7 and 10 in the morning and 4 and 10 it gets pretty crowded. I have been there at those times and always found an elliptical or treadmill, but it's crowded at those times. The locker rooms are always clean and spacious. The men locker rooms has showers. read more

Gym is nice and so are employees in the morning. Went at night & signed up to tan, waited patiently for 45 minutes and saw people who showed up after me tan before me. I went to the counter not even to ask about the wait, just to remove my name from the list, and the girl was extremely rude. I will never be back in the evening. read more

You are not going to beat the price for what you get any where in town. The staff is always super friendly and super helpful. Even when they are busy there is still plenty of machines to use. And I have never had to wait very long to use a particular station. I never really got into going to the gym but since I have been going to Planet Fitness, that has changed. I was in town for military orders and they said I'd have to pay $10 a day to work out. I was in town for 2 and a half weeks so I didn't want to pay that much. I offered to pay a full month and they wouldn't let me without signing up for their gym. Come on, you are getting your money either way. I'll never work out at any Planet Fitness!! read more

A joke. Simply put. Always waiting in line, nothing is ever the same. Always changing policies, rules, procedures, etc. Place is dirty also. Toenail clipping on floor, went back a week later and still there. So gross. I was in there one day and saw the manager get in an argument with a customer. Customer made a complaint and manager laughed at her. Customer said she wanted to cancel her membership and manager said and I quote "I will if you can calm down." The lady threw her card on the desk and walked out. Place is a joke. read more

They call themselves "judge free zone", however, every time I go in, the looks I get from the employees make me feel as if I'm every bit judged. and every time the lunk alarm goes off I can't help but wonder "who are they judging now?" I have no problem with the price. the price is wonderful. The price is great; and honestly I believe the price is the only reason why they stay in business because they are certainly not friendly. I've had multiple problems with the TV's not working and I've had multiple problems with attitudes the employees have given me when I asked a simple question. When I asked them why the TV wasn't working on the treadmill they looked at me as if they were judging why I wanted the TV more than I cared about working out; when in reality the TV is my motivation for working out because we do not get the same channels at my house. I see no crime in that. Nor any reason to judge me for it. I know several people who go to the gym to watch TV and work out at the same time. And not only that but they didn't even care about helping me fix it. they just said "our maintenance man will be in later" and then told me that I had to try every single treadmill to see which TV was actually going to work (as I had already tried about 5 of them) and none of them were working. I understand that the fact that the TV is not working is not Planet fitness's problem exactly, but I wished the employees had treated me with a little bit more respect in the matter. read more
