Love the location of this PF. You can look down on the small valley of Fort Wright with the big floor windows that they have. Equipment wise is pretty new and clean. But they only 1 straight bar for cable machines. And I hate their elliptical machine, they have the gliding type and feels very odd. read more

Probably the worst planet fitness I've ever visited. Extremely dirty, stairs the second level don't appear to have been swept in years. Bathroom smells like a zoo. Equipment is dirty. I have a hard time feeling like I'm working out in a clean and safe environment. (Did inform desk. For the record, read the other reviews and see the pattern. The gym and equipment are clean and well maintained. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, however, they have serious mold issues in the men's showers. Each shower stall has mold in every corner and up the walls. This is a serious health risk! read more

I recently got back into the membership of this place and don't get me wrong. It's a nice facility. But anytime that I try to show up, except at 2 AM, this place is 100% packed! There's never any good parking, none of the machines or weights are available and the facility in some locations it just kind of gross. I canceled my membership as of today because of these reasons. I don't have access to other locations because I'm not in those counties. It's basically too far away. read more

REVIEW UPDATE: I used to love this gym, had this as my home gym for a month shy of two years, and have now moved to Norwood due to the overall lack of standards maintained by this business. The staff are usually incredibly friendly, but unable to provide customer support. The gym is large, but the change in hours and lack of cleanliness (see tanning bed pics) has downgraded significantly. If possible, go to the PF locations in Norwood or Newport. Of all the planet fitness in the area, this one was by far the best! Still a newer facility, staff is genuinely friendly, and the equipment is well maintained from what I saw and used. During the busy hours parking can be a little difficult... Recommend going early mornings or late evenings to avoid the crowds. I haven't been on a machine yet that the TV and sound doesn't work, that's of course if you like to watch your favorite shows to distract you from the burn you'll feel...make sure you bring your own headphones for that. Lastly, I have seen someone removed for "lunking" so they take the judgement free zone seriously. read more

This isn't my home gym, just happened to be in the area and stopped in here for a quick lift. The location of the gym is so nice, overlooking all the other businesses and the highway. But that's really it, the gym itself is kind of smooshed together in the machine lifting section, the equipment isn't yet updated to standards as my home gym is, and it was super dirty (green mold growing on the back of the toilet). I called last month to find out when the annual fee was due because I needed to cancel my membership. i was told mine wouldn't come out until March 1st and to just make sure I cancel by then to not get charged. I called Feb 25th to cancel and was told I have to stop in physically. I worked 10 hour shifts and wasn't able to make it until today, Feb 28th. AT WHICH POINT I WAS TOLD IT WAS TOO LATE, AND THEY WOULD CHARGE THE FEE. That I would have needed to cancel by the 25th. Twice I called about cancelling and was not given this information. On the 25th when I called to cancel, they did not tell me that it was my "last opportunity" before being charged the annual fee. They are very deceiving about this hidden clause in their contract, and did not mention it to me even though I called specifically regarding this, not once, but twice. The open floor plan, space & multiple of the large fans keeps it nice & cool. The facilities were all very clean and well maintained, locker rooms & restrooms included. Two stars, at best. The staff is virtually useless. While this is my "home gym," I rarely go here, preferring instead to go to Newport KY. The staff at Fort Wright never greet customers or say goodbye when we leave. Today I waited at the desk for a hydromassage chair while THREE staffers stood there, two of them on their phones (scrolling, not talking) and one staring off into space. When the daydreamer finally looked at me, I said, "three of you are standing here and not one of you asked if I needed help." She simply stared blankly at me. One of the phone scrollers finally got off his social media and gave me a chair. At Newport, the staff is always friendly and helpful. They greet and say goodbye and can help with your account if needed. The manager is always around, as well, which is not the case at Fort Wright (hence the three young people ignoring customers). While the inside is fine, the parking lot is an accident waiting to happen. It's either full of water from rain or a sheet of ice in the winter. I avoid this location whenever possible. read more

This is probably my favorite gym in town! For just $20, I have access to their equipment, their group classes, great tanning, hydro massage, and a new red light treatment. I will drive the extra 15 minutes from my house to keep me from paying $40+ at a local gym. The trainer is outstanding! She gives exercises for people of all levels in the classes, and almost makes you forget you're working out! read more

Always looking to find the right pf location Pros: tanning bed was much cleaner than Newport : actually it was fantastic New equipment: nice and clean, no parts missing or seats ripped so far. Nicer weighted balls and yoga balls, nicer weights Large locker room with mirror in the changing room and ample sinks, showers etc. Tanning beds are in a nice secluded area through doors Water fountains in more than one area unlike pf Doesn't have overwhelming "gym smell" not a big deal but still nice Cons: tanning sign up is a cluster f: the sign up sheets aren't with the tags so you have to stand around the desk hoping to get called and hope no one takes your time you signed up for. They should copy Newport and put the sign up sheets right on the desk so they can quickly check authenticity and times. Parking is in the front in the back but there's only one entrance, also it was hard to find the actual road to pf, they should have signs down by the restaurants The yoga balls should be placed in the p90 room as well, a lot of women like to use free mats with free weights in rooms(areas) like these. Pf in Newport did a much better job of addressing their members needs when it comes to equipment set up and location Staff wasn't overwhelmingly or too friendly at all. I made it obvious it wa lsd my first time at this location and the staff on 2/21/18 at 8pm didn't seem too bothered to answer more than one question, barely. Staff is huge for customer service and will quickly make a name for the location. Not one staff member smiled back or bothered to say hi or offer assistance on finding everything. I've been with pf for years and 7/10 times their staff gives a less than average impression. Hydro beds are in great condition right now, it's 2 to a "room" so no privacy ? The workers were in and out of a door next to my bed the whole time which isn't relaxing at all. They are changing their weekend hours from 24 hours to 7am- 7pm. This will make the gym more crowded And even harder to get to use equipment. Parking is atrocious as well. To boot, they are not changing the pricing. we are paying more for less. Will be cancelling before I help line their pockets. read more

Yes there is always something wrong with this location they run them very loud vacuums when people are trying to work out . They are very rude and just a bunch of children . The General Manager is very rude and makes remarks about face Mask coverings . The showers smell moldy and bad . The urinals look like they haven't been cleaned in a while and the Mat that you stand on smell of urine . Went to use the toilet and there was no toilet paper at all . The soap machine fell off wall and was everywhere I'm gonna call the health dept on this gym it's not going by covid guidelines either . read more

After my workout I'm sitting in my truck on my phone , police came to me and kicked me out at 9:45pm , said I can't be in my truck , ether go back in or leave the premises! Hours Posted are 24 Hours; however are not open until 6AM today. Interesting since this is a normal work day during the week; and most of their activity begins daily about 5AM week days. Another wasted drive over to the gym, only for them to be closed. Was much of this same thing done during COVID - 19 last year too. One of the nicest gym's I have ever been in. The gym is new and all the equipment is in great condition. The staff is friendly and everything is kept very clean. The tanning equipment is the nicest I have used and the hydromassage beds are wonderful. I couldn't believe how nice the view was looking out the windows on the second floor cardio equipment. i have been going to this gym for awhile and just recently noticed their 24 hours became less than that, I always went around 11/12am as I enjoy being around smaller crowds , it's a great gym I just hope they bring back the fullness of the 24 hours read more

This is a pretty new facility and it's clean and has lots a room to move around. Plenty of equipment and friendly staff. If you need to shower, they have nice clean and spacious showers with good privacy. read more

It's okay, given 2 stars because every time I have been up here so far they have one of their workers are sweeping with a vacuum and that's great and all, but they go around tipping the machines to sweep underneath them and the most aggravating part is the friggin sweeper makes this loud howling sound. Not to mention this is a 24 hour location, so why can't they do this later in the night instead of at 2-3pm when there are a bunch of people there? The place isn't even dirty and they are sweeping up nothing. It's a waste of time, electric and discomfort to the member. Let's stop this or give it a break, other than that, it's a great facility read more
