They get 2 stars just for the amount of equipment provided. HOWEVER, the cleanliness of the place is VERY lacking! The equipment is dusty with hair and dust everywhere. We know the floors are not being cleaned either! The same hair, dust, paper towel pieces, etc remain in their same positions for weeks on end. This location - at 7am, not crowded at all. Love that. Locker room, empty. Plenty of machines and equipment open and has that typical Planet Fitness no pressure feel to it. Plenty of showers too, which is nice so if it was crowded I wouldn't have to worry. They have a Black Card spa too if you so happen to fall in that group. Desk staff always friendly and welcoming. It's a Planet Fitness, so remember this is not going to be your HARDCORE CRAZY EQUIPMENT AND PUMP IT UP vibe. It has what you need for a solid workout and nothing more. If you're expecting a Gold's Gym vibe, not it. That said, there is no where I'd rather pop into in the morning for a chill workout where I don't need to worry about waiting for a ton of machines. Also- I saw zero people sitting on their phone's on machines. This was a relief. My old gym, people would camp out on their phones because the gym was a social scene, not a place to workout. Solely leaving this review as the so called "'manager" young female has the worst customer service ever. Every time you walk in she's on her cell phone and doesn't bother greeting you. I watched a gentlemen report the paper towels being out in multiple stations and she just nodded her head and went back to being on her phone. If you aren't going to at least act like you care about your gym what's the point in guarding a front desk leaving a bad taste for current and future members? After 15 years of home workouts, I decided to join a gym. My sister and I started going to this location about a month ago. We go on weekends as well as after work during the workweek. It's never crazy busy and I love that. Super chill atmosphere, friendly staff, clean place including the locker/rest rooms. Pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. No meathead gym bros or gals that are simply there for the gram. All of the machines have little graphs on how to use them as well as QR codes to videos (super helpful for us newbies). It also seems like the A/C is able to keep up on the hot days and that is a huge plus. Overall, 5 stars. read more

So happy I joined this location! After moving from PA while all the gyms were closed, I hesitated to go back once everything reopened. I joined the greenfield and warner location of PF in November, and I have been pleased with my experience so far! The staff are always friendly, greeting you when you come in and a "have a nice day" when you leave. They're always cleaning something! There's a great variety of equipment, and I've never had to wait for anything I've wanted to use. Everyone for the most part cleans their equipment after use. I only tan at PF but it seems to be big waste of time. Made 4 trips this week and 2 out of 4 times the booths/ bed did absolutely nothing and I stayed in the maximum time. Apache Junction 2 of the 4 visits were exxxxtremely dirty ...I always have to clean before and after every time I visit at that location. (Wont go to that one again). Now leaving the Gilbert location off Power Rd because I have to wait full 24 hrs even though I'm obviously still white as a ghost. I have wasted my time and gas 3 of the 4 visits and no one seems to care about my complaints one bit. I felt like they should have let me tan in Gilbert. I started going to this location several months ago and glad I made the decision. I live closer to another planet but go out of my way for this one. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I lost my keys once and they were on it to make sure I got them back. One worker I see often is Chris, he's always smiley and happy to greet me in. I just joined the Planet Fitness on Mcqueen. Large selection of machines. Clean location. I just wished they would play a mire varied genre of music. They obviously cater to the younger generation. Just had the worst most degrading experience at the Planet Fitness on Dobson and Elliot. The staff could care less that we were there and their unprofessional attitude was ridiculous. We were trying to sign up and they kept stopping to have a separate conversation then they both walked away and a third person walked up and was like what can I help you with? Litteraly what? I explained that I've already told both employees why I was here and they both walked away. Her response was to tell us to calm down and take a deep breath. She was so condescending for no reason. We were never rude, I was so shocked I just said never mind and the staff started laughing when we walked out. Just joined here after too many miserable experiences at Lifetime Fitness. I signed up for the Black Card membership which includes the gym and the amenities for $22/month, $1 enrollment fee. It beats the heck out of what I was paying at my other gym for a family membership. You have to be 18+ to carry the Black card level membership, otherwise, it's $10/month and an enrollment fee or tag along for free if you know someone who carries a Black card and is willing to let you use the unlimited guest pass. They do not offer family memberships, it's individual only. Apparently, this is a brand new gym. The equipment is all new and it's CLEAN!! I was so impressed with how clean the locker room was and all of the equipment. So far I've taken advantage of the gym, the hydro massage, and the total body experience. I haven't tanned since I was 18 so that's probably going to be lost on me but the best part is personal training is included at NO extra cost! Granted, there is 1 trainer but they offer a lot of classes and one-on-one training for no fee. I plan on trying that out very soon to see if it's worth it. I've been here three times at various times of the day and it's not busy at all. Today I was probably one of 10 people working out. It was nice to have my pick of the weight machines without 1) stepping over people and 2) waiting for some asshat to finish his Instagram post before getting off the machine. The only thing I wish this gym had was a kids club. The locker rooms are just that - lockers (bring your own lock). There are individual showers with an attached changing area but you bring in your own towels, toiletries, and whatever else you need (hairdryer, products, etc). So far, so good. Can't express how great this place is. Have had such pleasant experiences with every single person who works here. As someone who came from EOS it's such a big change in friendliness. They actually care about their members and stand behind them. Had an issue with billing for my first charge so I called the location, the manager was the first one and picked up immediately and assured me it was no problem. Even guaranteed me that if the billing company tried to hit me with a late fee he would ensure it got waived. Grateful for companies who see people as people!!! read more

This is a brand new location. So obviously it's very clean and all the equipment is new. Let's hope people keep it that way for as long as possible. As well as I can see, the staff is intent on keeping this place clean too. Of course the locker rooms are clean too and the showers are designed with privacy in mind. But be mindful to bring your own soap because I noticed there are no soap dispensers and they do not provide bar soap like other planet fitness gyms. Have a great workout. read more

Dirty Filthy licker rooms showers and bathrooms. Floors are sirty in gym. The.place has soap scim on floors, toilet paper on floor, smells like stinky feet. The front desk crew stand around talking t o.k each other, showing phone pics, and discussing bathriom bull st...talk instead of doing their job. Which is to keep place clean and safe for customers. Attitude towards really working is bad on evening shift workers. We first heard about Planet Fitness while we were vacationing in Florida. The gym instructor there highly recommended us to find a Planet Fitness Center near us when we got home. We did! It is on Greenfield road and it had just opened! My husband and I have enjoyed coming to the Planet Fitness facility a few times weekly. The manager, Abby and the staff members always treat the customers with great respect and friendliness. They are always hard at work keeping the place clean and the equipment polished. And the bathrooms are always clean. We really appreciate all the staff members for their dedication to their work. We will be coming back year after year. read more

When I got the black card membership none of the employees told me that is was a 12 month commitment so when I had to cancel my membership today because I'm deploying at the end of the week they charged me a $60 cancellation fee! I would honestly give this place 5 stars if they would fix their elliptical machines. Seriously, they are all programmed wrong and they are so annoying and dangerous. First, you set the level and the machines won't move out of level 1. I can set it to level 20 and it's still functioning on level 1. I usually have to switch machines and play around to get it to work for 5 minutes before I can even get one to work. Then, once you get them to work, without any warning, the machine turns off! I'll be on level 17 giving it my all and the machine resets to level one and I lose all the data from my workout (time, calories, distance). Literally, if I wasn't holding on with 2 hands I could get seriously injured. Then, I have to finish my workout so I have to take another 5 minutes to get the machine to work again. Right in the middle of my workout. SO annoying!! I have complained numerous times and they have told me that many people have complained and they're working on it. But I've been coming here since they opened and it's been a problem since then...so like 9 months or something like that. Otherwise this place is great. The fact that this is a brand new facility lends itself to a better appearance over a more established facility, but I think the writing is on the wall in terms of the effort staff is making in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. . . and I don't think that a year from now the appeal will be there if maintenance isn't improved. I've noticed that some of the shower stalls are beginning to show signs of black mold in the grout lines. Hair on the walls. I also noticed that one of the showers wasn't usable this morning because the shower handle was missing. Make sure you wear shower sandals. The floors can be gross in some areas. Staff are kind of hit and miss. Some people should not be in the service industry. I've barely been acknowledged in the mornings after shift change. Staff can sometimes be found outside on their phones. . . not cool when there's only one person assigned for duty. With that said some of the staff are fantastic and very accommodating. I wish Planet Fitness would do what the retail industry does with mystery shoppers. Maybe they already do. . . and if so they need to send one out to this facility. I cancelled my membership at a more upscale gym to join Planet Fitness because it was so conveniently located, brand new and offered the upgraded spa amenities. Not once did I ever feel disrespected or question maintenance efforts at my old gym.
