This one is located on Higley at SW corner of 101 intersection. Large parking lot. It is one of their "Signature" clubs. It does have what appears to be the normal equipment and amenities. They do have nice looking appliances in the bathroom (see photo), however, the toilets didn't have toilet paper. C'mon! That is pretty basic. Overall it's ok but not worth the "Signature" designation where they exclude some members. read more

Had a terrible experience with one of the managers upon visiting the location for the first time as a member. I was inquiring about an additional $100 fee for multi state access which I've never heard of before (especially being a member of other gyms for many years multi state access is usually provided). Anyway, I politely inquired and he kept saying "well you've only paid this and you've only paid that since being a member so... I'm not sure what you're concerned about?" I mentioned, yeah I'm not upset and I know I have a low monthly fee but it's because I get a corporate discount so that's why I "only" paid first and last months dues at the time I joined. He replies "Der, that's what I'm saying. Do you need anything else or are we done?" Call me crazy but that's the funniest and rudest interaction I've ever had, especially with someone in charge. I used to go to Lifetime Fitness or EOS, but the personal training at lifetime is almost 3x the amount it is here and I was tired of always having to fight for any equipment at EOS. This LA fitness is the perfect middle ground of not being outrageously expensive and not being jam packed full of college gym bros who hog machines for hours. I've had a few trainers over the few years I've been going here, but my favorite has got to be Tanner. He's got great stories to tell that almost make you forget how sore you'll be tomorrow :) He gave me some great advice on what shoes to buy for running and he's tried every diet known to man, so not only does he give targeted workout advise, he's great at helping out with nutrition as well. All and all, I've had a great experience with this gym. As a night shift worker, it would be great to have the gym open later than 11pm, but that's just motivation for me to get out of bed in the afternoon sooner! read more

I've been going to this LA Fitness consistently for over three years. The front desk has always been rude, disorganized, and constantly rotating staff. You never see the same person for more than two months, and today they showed exactly why. A new employee I'd never seen before decided to power trip and kick me out over a policy they've never enforced in all my years going. When I calmly questioned it, he cussed at me, belittled me, and treated me with complete disrespect in front of everyone. Another gym member even tried to bring me in using his guest pass, but the employee still refused--purely out of ego and spite. This gym is a scam. They make it as hard as possible to cancel, they keep charging you, and the culture is completely broken from the top down. Think twice before signing up. Poorly managed and unprofessional staff. I came here for the Silver Sneakers Medicare promoted program-that's unfortunate as the gym is not safe for anyone. Pool and jacuzzi are filthy -in house management is aware and corporate has been notified but no action is taken. Department of health will be called next. The locker room is equally filthy and sauna has been closed for a year. When it rained there were buckets all over the equipment catching roof leaks. DO NOT sign a personal training contract!!!! I payed 30 dollars a month for this place and it is by far the trashiest gym I've ever been to. The manager was rude and unprofessional. The place was an absolute mess at all times and I saw one person ever clean. Because the employees didn't clean or respect the gym none of the patrons do either. The sauna has been broken since November of 2023 and they never intended to fix it. The pool was not working for about two weeks while I was here and swimming was the only reason I got a membership, I was going to a different gym to lift because the standards at this location were subpar. It is a "signature" gym but there is nothing signature about it. They provide 0 real premium services that would make it worth the price they try to force on you. read more

This place is horrible! I got my membership a couple years back and the Sauna has been broke ever since. Machines always have a service tag on them longer than a week. They keep recruiting new members, gym is packed and they cannot even fixed anything. When I wrote corporate, all they told me was "sorry to hear but we have other locations" well unfortunately thats the only one close to me! I don't get why this club doesn't have a higher rating -- it is genuinely one of the best gyms I've ever visited. I'm from Los Angeles, so I only visited this location once, but it is probably nicer and larger than any of the Los Angeles locations I've visited. Everything is insanely clean, modern, and organized. Not only is there a plethora of equipment, but it is all functional and well-maintained. There are also endless amenities, including a pool and basketball court. The staff at the front were also very welcoming! If I had to find a fault, it's just the fact that it's not in my hometown! read more

My first to workout in a LA Fitness gym in Arizona. I paid for towel services and this is extra. No towel services, no one cleaning machines. Nothing signature about this location. Some of the regular LA Fitness I've been to are nicer and kept up better. Not sure why I'm paying for extra things and not seeing them. No wonder all of their gyms are closing down. In 2019, when I signed up, this was an upgraded gym with towel service. All the executive features are gone now (but my dues are the same). The culture here has improved over the years and the staff and members are really friendly which generally makes my workout enjoyable. Unfortunately, somebody needs to offer the gym manager (Christian) some people skills training because members are complaining what a jerk he is with them. The manager ALLY has a next level attitude. She was very disrespectful and rude during 2 separate interactions (on separate days as well). We had issues visiting multiple locations due to their merge with esporta. No issue there, I was very understanding. She started yesterday telling me I only had access to one location when I was told otherwise at a different location. Conflicting so I wanted an answer and all I got was you can pay more... Of course it's always about the sales commissions... right guys? So, she lets me work out one day. The next day (today) I went to the Greenfield / 202 location (old Esporta) in person to get this fixed myself as ALLY provided no help. Got a new key card and the Greenfield location managers helped me quickly. Their staff is AMAZING! Show up today and she snaps at me and tells me my keycard isn't valid. And I don't have an account that I can go to this location, etc. Then when I ask her to call the other location to help solve this as I was JUST THERE... she says no. And then says she's just trying to help lol. But once again I can workout here only today or it's going to be an issue. I've never felt more disrespected in my life. I asked her to get someone else and please check her attitude as I was disrespected again and again by her. Honestly this behavior should ALARM corporate management. ALLY, I say this as respectfully as possible. I think it's time to move on and find a new job. The gym manager thing isn't working out. I'm not the only one on here saying things about your behavior. I sign up to this specific location on Higley and the 202 about two months after my wife sign up! I was told that my memmembership was going to be like 5 dollars of the original price because of my wife but a year after it was still the same price! But i didn't care much about that, what i care more it was that some of the equipment was always broken, the sauna for over a year never got fixed and whwhen i went over to complain about several issues? The girl had told that they just got the part for the sauna the a day before! Really? That damn thing has been broken for more than a year and youare lying to me about that? Went to this location after finding out the Gilbert/202 and Power/ Rittenhouse locations closed. I was surprised to see that the men's sauna was shut down. After a week, I called to see if the sauna was operational yet and was informed that it was permanently shut down. So much for being a "signature" location. I'm going to need to transition to this location from the Gilbert location and after my first visit I'am Seriously considering just cancelling my membership after 5+years. This location is tiny, only two squat racks. The equipment is old and dirty. The flooring is lifted from various corners, huge hazard. The turf is so old and worn out you can literally see the flooring beneath it. The sauna in the women's lockers is out of service until further notice. WTF!! AWFUL. The purpose of this review is to get the club to list its correct hours on Yelp. I went to the gym on a Sunday at 6:30pm because Yelp says it's open until 8pm. But in actuality the club closes at 7pm. It sucked. If the gym cares enough to go on Yelp and review a 1 star rating, please correct your hours and let me know. I would give zero stars if I could. I was a member of this gym from 2021 until I got pregnant last year. I rejoined 2 weeks ago and put my infant in the daycare. On Saturday, a 3 year old coughed all over my baby as I was dropping her off. So I took the baby with me and worked out on the treadmill. I was asked to leave 2x by 2 of their managers and told to put the baby in the daycare. They never addressed the issue of the visibly sick child and simply told me that the parents of the sick child paid for daycare just like I did. The place is run by children who do not have any common sense. read more

To keep it brief a couple days ago, the manager ALLI had told us that We had an issue with one of our accounts, but the following day (Today) We got it resolved and was told by another location that we wouldn't have any issues. I had noticed the day before that ALLI Was very condescending and rude (she was nice in a rude way). Today we were greeted with the same response and then she suggested an attitude check. The entire interaction she was Rude and degrading suggesting that there was still an issue with the account although we had confirmation that it had been fixed. We asked her to call the other club to which she replied NO several times. Over the last couple days, we were not provided any answers as to why this club had a higher membership cost compared to others, or how we could resolve the issue. Mind you we had had zero issues up to this point and we started coming here about two weeks ago. This is a very nice gym and the staff is wonderful so it makes me disappointed to say that we among others have had poor experiences with the manager ALLI. read more

The only reason for opting for a 2 star as opposed to one is for the simple fact that this gym provides a good alternative to the typical crowded gyms throughout the area. I think the common saying of "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" applies here pretty well. "You can give people a job, but you can't make them work." I can't tell you how many times I've walked in and out of this gym while the person at the front desk refuses to a knowledge the existence of anyone other than people that work there. For example, I walked up to the front desk to get some help on getting a new sign in barcode and the person behind the desk takes about 30 seconds to finish up a text which I would have to assume is not work related, then turns her head up just to respond with a very rude "what?" As if I'm doing her some sort of inconvenience of coming into "her" gym. Same applies to the "sales reps" walking around. How many times do you need to walk past weights thrown across the ground or dirty towels lying around before you decide to bend over and do your job. Further proof of this.....look at the sauna. It's had the same pieces of trash and "juice" on the walls for months. Not only is it dirty, but there is a missing piece of framing which now has exposed staples sticking out that cut the back of my leg. Pictures attached. These "trainers" will was right past all the trash and dirty towels like they're too good to pick anything up. I understand that their is someone who's job it is to clean up around the gym, but clearly this person is working part time as nothing gets cleaned. This doesn't apply to just the locker room or sauna either, you'll see these trainers come into the basketball messing around and walk right past towels and trash laying on the court. Y'all work at a gym. It's customer service industry. I'm confused as to why some of these people walk around like they're gods gift. Just do your job. How are you going to "train" people and then just leave your weights racked? It's not my job as the member to have to re-rack weights for these people. $100 bucks says they either won't read this, or they'll read it, but absolutely nothing will change. read more

This brand new LA Fitness Signature Club is pretty on the inside, with a slight step up from other gyms in its class. All the equipment still has that new-gym smell, and the overall feel of the club is more modern, with spa qualities. The space is expansive. You've got your standard layout with a weight training section, rows of cardio equipment, spin class room, a special HIIT class room, swimming pool, basketball court, and more. What stands out from other clubs is the complimentary towel service and a lounge-like area with comfy chairs and flat screen TV. Also, because the club is so new, the treadmills have TVs and smartphone connections. The only catch is that current LA Fitness members require a few extra steps for admission. It takes an increase in your monthly dues, an enrollment fee, or both, to be granted ongoing entry. Is it worth it? I still haven't decided. read more

If I could give zero stars I would just club we have been with for over 20 years due to Covid we stopped going to counseling and frozen it's interesting how they are so quick to take our money but yet when we go to cancel account say at the memberships they make you jump through hurdles and you were unable to cancel I was told one thing over the phone then when I went in person and I still couldn't cancel because they have one pacific person that is only able to cancel membership which is absolutely ridiculous don't sign up there fast take your money and they won't allow us to cancel very disappointed in customer service the club and paint over the last few years read more

Gym has gone downhill. Overly crowded since the nearby E-Sporta closed and members migrated here. Now they are renting the pool to a swim school during prime times making it harder for members to get in to swim. Not enough parking. read more
