Staff is exceptionally friendly. Locker room and bathrooms are very clean. This gym has vast amounts of equipment ranging from squat racks, free weights, and a variety of machines to train different muscles groups. I highly recommend this gym for quality and price. read more

What's the point of having a blackcard when there is no one to assist you during operation hours to use facility. Constantly waiting 15-20 minutes at least just to use massage chairs or tanning. Sometimes no one at all. One individual will be in the restroom for at least 20 minutes. Anyone can walk in use gym without membership. Not safe read more

Very nice facility well equipped and very clean. Staff was always busy keeping it clean. One complaint I'm a black card member and my friend is also a Blackard member my friend was able to check into the club but didn't have their card and the staff member put my friend through a song and dance to check them in to use the massage chair. He should not have had this much difficulty to check in for the Blackcard area as at other clubs they are able to check him in by looking at the computer. read more

Your location would have higher ratings if it was cleaner and if you had backup plans for your backup plans for when technology fails your gym. First impression of this location; I wanted to use the Black Card Spa machines, but none of them work because of the front desk computer not working, which somehow connects to all the Black Card Spa machines... so... nothing works? Asked the front desk associate when they'd be fixed. He said "I don't know I guess they'll be fixed when they're fixed." Wow. That's a great answer. How about communicating from management to your associates when things like this will actually be taken care of? Be on your game quicker. I get it, "stuff" happens, but there ought to be a better backup plan than basically shrugging your shoulders and telling members stuff doesn't work because something went wrong technology wise. Please do better. Step it up a few notches. read more

Absurdity ... I moved away from the area, so I called to cancel my membership. Complicated by my extremely busy schedule and out of state business travel, I knew it would be weeks before I could take the required absurd drive to their location to cancel. They refused to cancel my membership over the phone. (Although they did so during COVID). It's really not about procedure, but rather about then forcing you to come in so they can try to talk you into keeping your membership. During COVID, when they were afraid you might cough, they would gladly cancel your membership over the phone. Now that gas is over $5/gal, they require you get in your car and drive there to do something you should be able to do in 10 seconds in the app, or over the phone. I won't EVER join another Planet Fitness. Their cancel procedure is ABSURD. read more

I canceled my membership on 12/5 for health reasons. I noticed a pending charge on my credit card from 12/1 for $39.59 for a yearly membership fee. I asked about it when I canceled. The guy at the desk said it should drop off because I am canceling and not using their service for the next year. So I waited a week and contacted them on their website twice with no response back. Finally I went in 2 weeks later and spoke to a manger. She stated that it's in the contract and the charges can't be reversed. She was also very rude and unprofessional. I would AVOID Planet Fitness because they have these hidden in your "contract". I am a twice returning customer but I will say I am 100% avoiding Planet Fitness in the future. They are scammers! So today once again I requested they turn down the volume on their music. The "manager" told me that "most" of the members request that music be loud. I decided to take a walk around the gym and only ONE person didn't have their own headphones, everyone else was trying to listen to their own music. So since one person wants to listen to the gym music everyone else has to turn up the volume on their headphones and ruin their ears. Every other planet fitness I have been to doesn't have this issue. Guess I will start going to another location since they are unwilling to accommodate the majority of the members. read more

Was a member for around 3 years. Absolutely adored the AJ location and the staff was wonderful, switched temporarily to the Gilbert location due to work and it was a complete mess. Twice I got double charged for a late fee because the young man working the desk didn't let me know my card had been removed from their system although I went daily. The final straw was when the manager switched my home location without asking, I do not trust the Gilbert staff so I wanted to stay with my previous home gym. The female manager who had done the switch then called my personal number from her work app while off work to apologize however it was extremely inappropriate to call my personal number. Disappointed, but ended up no longer going and don't recommend this location, but still highly recommend their AJ one! read more

Can't even begin to explain how terrible the so called "management" is at this specific location. I have to say this is by far the worst Planet Fitness in terms of the environment and experience. The so called "glorified location manager" (seems like a group consensus with her being reported via these reviews lol) loves to sit and text on her cellphone as stuff clearly needs to be done in the gym. Perhaps executive level leadership can teach "lower level management" the importance behind customer service. Simple things like filling your continuous empty paper towel dispensers and spray bottles might be a better alternative and start to operating your business. Don't waste your time at this location, tons of other planet fitness locations offer cleaner areas and properly maintained facilities with individuals who actually care to work and don't look like they are miserable and collecting a paycheck. Hopefully leadership can get a grasp of these poor individuals. read more

I really like Planet Fitness in general, this gym makes me excited to go. All staff i've ever interacted with have always been nice and I love that tanning is included with my membership. Actual tanning salons are really expensive. The only thing that would make me never want to leave is if they were open 24 hours. Hopefully that will change in the future! read more

RUDEST customer service ever i believe her name was rachel, i asked to cancel my membership and she was very unhelpful and disrespectful giving me the email to cancel it, don't EVER come here every single person is a horrible human being and stands at a desk all day and still can't answer the phone ridiculous had to call 6 times before an answer and she answered giggling. read more

I joined this gym a few weeks after it opened and love it. It's clean, as it's new. The front staff is positive and helpful and the members are normal people just trying to improve their fitness (not used as a social club). I had joined EOC on Higley a few weeks before and they were dishonest and the equipment is not as good. They got a two star review from me. I'll be going to Planet Fitness now and canceling EOS. So far so good! Joined about 2 weeks ago and it's always been clean and greeted by a friendly staff! You will not be short of things to do to get your workout done!! I have never joined a gym before, living in AZ I never really had too since there is so much to do outdoors. With my work crazy schedule and kids going 100 different directions I was falling short of taking care of me. I hope this will add some structure and I can bring my teens!!! But this time I just went in and they figured it out without hassle even calling corporate to see what all my original information was because I did join like 10 years ago. I went into the location on power and ray and I was absolutely pissed off when I left I asked the kid working the counter to help me set up a membership he proceeded to say ok you have tongo online so I did, after struggling for some I asked him for help and he just told me I didn't need to do the online form, I said to him he just told me i needed to and he turned around and said but you do and I was like which is it He had no knowledge on customer service at all, I proceeded to tell him if he couldn't answer the basic questions I had on getting enrolled they were gana loose a member and I'd go elsewear he literally said oh ok and turned around horrible customer service planet fitness you lost me and I will be telling people of my experience read more
