Again, staff is super friendly and helpful. The facility is clean. The biggest issue is equipment repair. One of the two Leg Press machines and by 1 of 2 Leg Curl machines have been broken for 2 months as of this writing. And now (6/12/26), one of the two Leg Extension machines is broken. We'll see how long that takes to get repaired. They could easily add more equipment if they got rid of 28 of their 33 ellipticals. They are rarely ever used no matter what time of day. read more

I recently started a membership at this location about a month ago after seeing a promotion online for $1 down and first month free. Originally when I signed up they tried to charge me full price, and I had to talk to the staff several times in order to get the deal as described in the promotion. This location offers dedicated sessions with personal trainers, which is something I was looking for, as I am a disabled veteran and have some mobility issues left over from my time serving in the military. I was looking for someone to help tailor a workout plan for me that doesn't aggravate my old injuries. This location's personal trainer's name is Scarlet. Now, I'm relatively introverted due to PTSD, but Scarlet is not, and she likes to talk. She talked about how her ex-boyfriend was cheating on her and then kicked her out of his house when she wasn't paying her share of the bills. How he complained that she was putting him in a bunch of debt. How she had to move back in with her parents, but she doesn't get a long with them and wants to move out. About how her ex still regularly asks her to come over for some "fun" despite him being with a new girl. How she doesn't make enough money to make her car and insurance payments. How she wants to quit this job and get one where she can earn tips to make more money. She talked a lot about the things going on in her life during our sessions, and it all eventually cumulated in an offer from her to me of a sugar baby type relationship. I'm not really interested in that, so I politely declined, brushed it off, and didn't think much more of it. However, I did notice that she was not as talkative after that. Fast forward several weeks later to today, after her having not shown up to the gym at all for the previous session, instead of meeting Scarlet for our session today, her general manager, Domi(?), is there waiting to talk to me. Apparently Scarlet has complained to Domi that I was being "unprofessional." I was accused of saying a handful things that were half-truths and whole lies during our past conversations while I was working out. Conversations that were initiated and led by Scarlet, while I was out of breath and just trying my best to half-participate while I concentrated on proper form during my exercises. Even another staff member who was present confirmed that I did not do/say some of the things that she was accusing me of. None the less, I am now no longer welcomed to use the training services at this location, and must drive an extra 20 minutes across town to a different location if I want to use their personal training services. Very inconvenient. Scarlet complained a few times about men in general during our sessions, so honestly I just think she might have some personal issues that she feels the need to take out on random men who sign up to train here. I've noticed that all of the other clients that I've seen her with are women except for one other guy who's always there with his mom. Or maybe she's upset that I declined her offer, who knows, it's hard to say. Personally, I've never had anyone treat me like this before, but I can see that having this type of thing happen to you repeatedly would grow your resentment towards the opposite gender, further perpetuating this type of behavior in others. Crazy stuff. At the end of the day, not having her as a trainer isn't a huge deal, but accusations thrown at me out of nowhere in this fashion really made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome at this gym. Even if they claim I'm still welcomed to train there on my own, the vibe is now completely off. If you're a guy looking for a personal trainer and not a sugar baby, look elsewhere. read more

Staff routinely refuse to help with routine membership issues and billing errors and tell me I have to come in during the week to talk to a manager. Came in during the e week to talk to a manager during regular business hours and they told me to come back on the WEEKEND to talk to a manager. This is absolutely ridiculous. No functioning customer service line and it took the kids at the front desk three or four tries to locate my account with my phone number which I've had for years. I currently cannot work out at this location and they have misrepresented how their billing works and are trying to charge unreasonable additional fees that I've already paid so I can use the services I've already paid for. Trust and beleive I will be taking an action against planet fitness over fraudulent billing practices and scamming customers out of money while refusing to staff the store with managers who can put a stop to it. read more

Signing up for a planet fitness membership was a complete mistake. This location is always dirty and the locker room and shower area smell like mildew. The shower heads are always broken and every towel hook is falling off the walls. They charge you debit card and bank account when not allowed. Almost a year now, time for another review. After going to Planet fitness on Main St. Hesperia for sometime it was time for us to try the Bear Valley location... The staff here are friendly and the towels and sprays are filled pretty often. Dealing with the crowds certain times of the day only speak to why it's busy, people here seem more focused on their grind. Always good vibes... This is my second time to this location, I signed up at the Huntington Beach location and I'm a black card member, well today at 5:15pm I checked in just fine went back to purchase two water bottles and I was told by the front desk associate that since I signed up at a different or remote location is what he told me that I cannot purchase water, nor could they sell me water. I called my Huntington Beach location and efrain said that's crazy, I went back to tell the same front desk associate what refrain had told me to say and he was able to sell me the water. Great planet, very new and well staffed! I tend to go in the late evenings after 10pm because everything is usually well cleaned and take care of. Everything is restocked and I don't have to wait to clean or get the workout I need. When I come afternoon and during the day, it tends to always be messy, the bathrooms not cleaned, and there is never paper towels and disinfectant spray available it's always empty so I switched to nights and get such a better workout experience. I tan every time I come in and after 10pm the tanning beds are well cleaned and taken care of same with the massage chairs and hydros. This gym overall is worth it and nice, if you want the best and most clean and satisfying workout experience come in the late evenings early morning hours, you won't be disappointed! read more

We have been coming here since the opening. We enjoyed this gym and Planet Fitness overall. But over the last two summers, the gym has been filled with teenagers who they allow to use the gym for free the entire summer. This is horrible for your paying customers. Many of them conjugate around machines to talk and be on the phone, rather than work out. There is hardly space to work out most days. Many of them seem to be there for a social event. We are parents of teenagers as well and can appreciate their desire to be social, but the gym is for working out. We do not want to pay our money for a gym and not be able to work out due to the wave of teenagers being let in for free. We are considering changing gyms. read more

I have been a member for a couple years and it is a great facility BUT on a recent visit with my husband to this location, there was an unhoused male in the gym. He sat in the lobby, at the equipment and was going in/out of the restroom and locker area. My husband was going to work immediately after his workout but was hesitant as the male subject continued to walk in and out. My husband brought it to the attention of the employee (as if they weren't aware) and the response to my husband was "we can't do anything about it, we can't say anything to him or ask him to leave...excuse me? WHAT?! We pay to be a member and this person has not. Cars have been broken into in the parking lot, lockers have been broken into inside the facility and I would hate for a female member to be molested in the restroom/locker area. Something should be done about this...I won't be back until it's resolved. Beware and be careful. read more

The rating is for an incident that happened 1/24/22 @ around 10:50 am with another PF gym member to be referred to as AOG (an Angry Old white Guy wearing a sleeveless gray shirt with slick back grey hair.) I was using leg press machine #2, AOG wants me to get off the machine. How do I know this? Because AOG stood close to me and just stared at me with impatience and disgust. I tried to ignore him while doing my reps. Around 5-7 minutes of AOG just staring at me, I finally got the courage to say, "Would you kindly not stare at me." AOG said, "WELL, how many sets do you have?" I said, "I have 1 more set." AOG answered, "OH, it plays with your head, Ha?" I said, "Yes, and it's actually rude. How would you feel if I did that to you?" AOG made a "UGH" sound and shrugged and got on the leg press machine #1 that was just vacated. I filed an incident report with the manager Rafael immediately. I had to wait for Rafael because he was busy with the maintenance crew. I asked Rafael to look at the video. Even if there is no audio, just the mere fact that AOG stood close to me and just stared impatiently for at least more than 5 minutes is NOT NORMAL behavior. Rafael talked to AOG the next day. Of course, AOG denied the incident. Verdict: AOG gets to stay. AOG saw me after Rafael talked to him, and said, "Oh there she is." Was I happy with the way it was handled? Of course not. Rafael mentioned liability and to inform him during the incident and not after. Rafael said, to me "Stay away from him, and if there's another incident, tell him during and not after." So now, I have to change my schedule to avoid Angry Old Guy. read more

This is the worst staff of all the Planet Fitness, especially Miranda from the morning shift. Because of her attitude I canceled my membership. If you need anything or have questions about the gym , just ask another member. On a couple of occasions, I needed assistance (purchases and equipment help) every time I asked her or the other morning lady something, it was like I was bothering them. The final straw was when I made an inquiry about my contract that interrupted her (Miranda) conversation with her coworker. She immediately started to huff a puff and as she was looking into my account, mumbled the word "just stupid" when I asked if she was referring to me... she smirked and her and the coworker started giggling. On top of the poor attitude of the staff... the bathrooms toilets are alway nasty and the showers have a strong sewer smell. Not a good environment at all. This is a beautiful-new facility. However, they are starting off on the wrong foot. The chest press machine is almost right on top of another machine that makes its near useless when both are utilized. The number 1, hydro-bed does not work. It has been reported but they seem loathed to fix it. The men's locker room is too cold, there are no mats when stepping out of the showers, changing doors don't close and hotter water is needed. The folks at the desk seem unsure of themselves - perhaps, some additional would be helpful. As a black card member, I'm looking forward to improvements. read more
