TOUCHDOWN on my end!!! This rec center is newish (opened maybe 2/3 years ago), clean, and has state of the art equipment that works (unlike other fitness centers). Membership ranges depending on how long you want, but my family and I purchased the Family Package Deal--$40 for 4 people for 1 month (tongue twister). GREAT DEAL!!! All classes are included in the membership at no extra charge, which is awesome! They offer a range of classes from zumba, step, body blast, spin, and circuit training, and core training. All are super fun and you are definitely sweating at the end of them. There are also 2 basketball courts with open gym, a ping pong table, and an air hockey table. The staff is super friendly upon walk in and are willing to give you a tour of the place if you are having doubts. Again, the place is CLEAN. I hate going to work out at a gym and the place smells like straight up feet with debris on the ground as you are trying to run on the treadmill. Throwup. No, the ground is aways free from any junk, and the people who work out here are respectful. After each use of the equipment, they are running to get a wipe to wipe down the machine. THANK YOUUUU. No slipping off the leg extension machine from the previous person's sweat. So, why 4 stars?? Well, after I work out I like to go shoot hoops after. Basketball courts were closed for 2 days straight. After the 2 days, they opened up again but with a limited time frame (5am-11am Mon-Fri; 7-10pm Sat-Sun). WHATTTTT?!?! I talked to the front desk lady, who explained to be that a 25ish year old man and a 17ish year old boy got in a fight during a pick up game, resulting in the limited hours. Why did management not just take away their memberships? Supposedly the city (since they own the place) asked for management to do so. Who knows how long this will be enforced, because the front desk lady was giving out names and contact info on who to complain to. All in all, this is a great place to get in shape and lose the fat. I was on the treadmill a few days ago and there are many TVs playing a few shows. They play the same shows all the time, and at every location (I was told later- which led to me leaving crunch completely). I saw a scene that showed a severe depiction of sexual violence against one woman from multiple men. I was shocked. I was off the treadmill before I even stopped it and told the first 2 staff that I saw, both person trainers. One of them was very apologetic. I tried to finish my workout but found that I was too deeply affected to continue, so I went into the locker room and showered and cried for several minutes. When I came back out I told the front lobby staff what I saw. A couple of them were consoling me as I was trying and failing to keep myself together as I described the scene to them. Everyone I told seemed genuinely shocked and was very apologetic. One of them went to get the manager, who was busy and never came out to talk to me. I waited at least 15 mins and then chose to grab my kids and leave. I couldn't go back to the gym the rest of that week. This week I decided to get back to it on Monday and when I walked in, I was surprised to see that they were still playing that channel. I immediately went back to the lobby and talked to them. They told me that when I was there they could turn off those TVs and turn them back on when I leave. That would obviously force me to rehash this every time I showed up, and I'm just not going to do that. I was told that they couldn't/wouldn't change the channel, and it played across all crunch locations, and I'm "just one person." This was days after I sobbed in their lobby. So I made the decision to leave the gym this week, which I know is 100% the right decision. This may not affect some people. But if you're someone that is sensitive to sexual violence in shows, and you get on the treadmill, stairs, elliptical, ect.. you may very likely see it. I looked it up afterwards, it's a TNT show called Cold Case. I hope this helps someone.

I felt pushed and I felt encouraged; I was getting weekly meal plans sent to me per our "contract" we were meeting at our scheduled times everything was great. However about two-three months in everything changed. It was as if I wasn't being taken as seriously because I wasn't going to compete. I stopped receiving meal plans, weigh in's stopped and the accountability that was there at the beginning wasn't there anymore. Shauna had made it very clear when I first started personal training sessions with her that If I wanted to cancel a session I had to do so in 24 hours; if not I would lose my session. That is a common rule for most trainers, so I made sure that I did my best to cancel 24 hour ahead of time when I did need to cancel; I think I only gave less than 24 hours' notice one time in the approx 7 months I went. Shauna on the other hand canceled on me 7 times within a span of 3 months with barely any fair warning; many were either an hour or three hours before the session. Many times she would cancel on me on the spot when I had just drove all the way down to field house, however the last straw broke when she no showed on me two times within two weeks. I drove down to field house; waited for her to show and she never did. Only to be told via text that she forgot to text me; completely un-professional. She holds this standard of cancelling within 24 hours for her clients but I am PAYING HER and she can't even be professional enough to do the same. I was paying her for a service I was not receiving, she wasn't showing and I hadn't received a meal plan in months. It was as if she just stopped caring about me as a client because she had other clients who were competing and bringing in money for her. I had emailed her and told her that I would like a refund because I couldn't continue to be cancelled on. She replied with "I am Not issuing you a refund I am sorry for any inconvenience. You are scheduled Friday at 1 pm we can do a make up Wednesday at 1". I emailed her multiple times to work things out however instead of replying back she went into my account and deleted PAID sessions from my account. After multiple attempts to receive a refund from Shauna due to her lack of providing services I contacted the Better Business Bureau. She never responded and refused to cooperate with the investigation. I had hope that we could work this out and she would provide me a refund, honestly I thought when I sent her my request for refund she would be happy to refund me and get rid of me as a client; since I wasn't competing and she never took me seriously. Shauna currently has approx. $500 of mine that she won't refund, and has went in to my account and deleted paid session's. Shauna is also very intense, which can be a great as a trainer if done properly except she comes off as a bully at times. I have personally heard her discount and talk about her clients negatively. She has pointed out people to me at the gym and talked destructively about them. She even brags about going up to people and shaming them in front of others; telling them they aren't ready for competition and that they have a long way to go. She creates an environment where you are on eggshells; always wondering what mood she would be in that day. When she would talk badly about others especially her own clients I knew that she had to be talking bad about me as well and that never sat well with me. I do acknowledge that Shauna has done great things for other people, and her group classes are awesome. However I cannot support a business like this and will continue to share my experience with others.

This road extends for a number of miles. They even have signs advertising an AM radio station that plays Christmas music that you can tune into. The quantity and quality of the lights completely astounded me, and the atmosphere they created was incredible. The price of admission, which is only twelve dollars per vehicle and not per person, is actually quite affordable. They did in fact have a "Santa's Village," but it was closed when we went there, so we couldn't eat there or take our children on the ride.

"GYMTIMIDATION" COMES FROM THE EMPLOYEES!!!!! **************************************** CHARLES (46year old) CASHIER is RUDE, Standoffish , and seems RACIST I signed up for the Black card Membership this morning the morning shift seemed nice, not friendly but stressed sort of. I had other chores to do so I wasn't able to come in till tonite. The man at the counter named CHARLES was very rude and standoffish from the moment my nephews and I entered (I had misunderstood the 1 guest policy) we addressed that and he implied I was lying when I said I hadnt known that flopping a paper in front of me with the rules another thing I was told I should have gotten and that I was apparently lying about not having ....I mean no qualms with anyone here I see the mistake and don't wish to contest it. it was what he did NEXT that has me writing this.... My NEPHEW a 14 year old boy who I had been promising I would bring with me went to sign in as a Guest CHARLES asked for his ID card and My Nephew ACCIDENTLY dropped it onto the sign in paper and APOLOGIZED immediately for doing so to try and ensure Charles knew he didn't mean anything since Charles was already on edge. CHARLES started GLARING at my Nephew and wouldn't break gaze in a threatening manor. I addressed his gaze and he replied saying "I'm 46 and I won't be dealing with that kind of attitude!" Raising his voice at me. I told him that clearly he meant nothing by dropping his card and he had ALREADY apologized for doing so. He continued ranting that he wouldn't put up with it beginning to argue Torwards my nephew this time who was only wanting to work things out!! I told him we could leave and that this was bad being it was my Very FIRST TIME Going to use their GYM -which by the way was only going to the front counter so far!!! My office moved closer to this gym and I wanted to see how close it was for the possibility of running here during lunch (almost 2miles pretty close). My old office was closer to Abrams so that was the gym of choice. Well this gym is smaller than Abrams but has all the equipment needed for a good workout. The female locker room is spacious and it has its own sauna which is a plus. Even though it is a small sauna it can fit approximately 15 - 20 average sized people sitting lol. I usually stretch in the sauna before and after a workout so the availability of a sauna is a plus. Back in the day there was one sauna and it was coed even the current sign reflects that of a coed sauna lol. There is no fee associated with this gym and many weight lifters prefer this gym and train here often. This gym has an open concept floor plan. There is a separate rooms with cardio equipment. Many weightlifters visit this gym, personal trainers are offered but did not see any group fitness or aerobics classes offered.

I am writing this review to share a deeply concerning safety incident that occurred at Twin Wolves…read moreMMA. On July 6th, following a verbal altercation, Professor Ryan Ruiz physically shoved me with both hands in the chest/shoulder area, knocking me to the ground where my head struck the grass. As a result of this physical attack, I sustained a concussion and have since been diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome. I have required multiple hospital visits for ongoing severe dizziness, and the incident has triggered severe emotional distress and aggravated my PTSD. A formal report regarding this conduct has been filed with the Harker Heights Police Department. I strongly advise anyone considering training here to be aware of this situation regarding student safety and conduct. The IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) Will be receiving my report this week. This type of elder abuse, an abusive a protected veteran cannot be tolerated. I was severely humiliated.

Members slam weights, leave equipment dirty, fail to re-rack weights, and set up selfie sticks that block machines. The most disruptive issue is the excessive noise. Two different members sing loudly during their workouts. One is usually there in the morning, and his voice can be heard across the gym even with headphones at high volume. I have watched other members make uncomfortable faces, stop what they are doing, and move to the opposite side of the gym to get away. While waiting for Harker Heights to open, I used the Killeen location, where this behavior was already common and staff rarely addressed it. Some members even brought personal speakers and played music aloud. I have met Killeen members who now drive to Harker Heights because they could no longer tolerate that environment. Unfortunately, some of the same disruptive behavior is now appearing here, and staff do not seem to intervene. I would be highly satisfied if management consistently enforced cleanliness, re-racking, noise, and courtesy rules.

Absolutly the best workouts and conditioning that a person can recieve. The Coaches there are very knowledgeable and passionate about fittness and helping people to reach thier goals. Me and my son have been going there for about 2 1/2 months and the transformation and change and our health and body from when we first started is unbelievable. Great atmosphere and freindly people to workout with. We are all family there cheering motivating each other to the very end.
