When i tried to downgrade membership they gave same old struggles these gyms always pull. Charged me for an annual fee even though I was still just trying their gym out. What more can you ask from a 24hr franchise gym! Planet fitness is my favorite! I absolutely love that I have access to this gym at anytime and also anywhere thanks to my Black Card status. Their prices are super affordable. $10 a month for the basic membership that allows to work out only at your home gym. The $20 something a month enables you to bring a guest and you can workout at ANY gym in the nation. As someone who is all over the city. This is such a great perk and I can bring a guest?! This allows me to catch up with old friends who come into town or to invite a client along for a gym day. It can't get any better than that! At this location in Levittown, the staff is super nice and very patient. They assisted me when I lost my card. They stayed on the phone with my home gym for a little while while they kind of gave them a run around. The locker at this location stays very clean and smells very nice. I think that's so amazing, as sometimes I go to other location's locker rooms and it's smells sweaty. Granted it is a gym but this location shows that it doesn't have to smell like one. This location is one of my favorites and I'll definitely keep coming back. Only negative is that the barbells and kettlebells aren't to be found. read more

Blows the pants off LA fitness. The employees are super friendly they ALWAYS SAY HELLO. They make it known they recognize you. They ask how your day was, you know human interaction. It's super clean in here machines get fixed if they're messed up and they wanna know if there's an issue. Priced way better than LA fitness to, way more affordable with discounts for things you may want like crocks. Been going for a couple of months and I couldn't be happier. Keep up the great work. If I could give 0 starts I would . I had to go 3x in person to cancel. The first time the gentleman told me it was and that I had a month to use the remaining days I have left as a black card member (not once did I go) He also said I was going to receive an email cancellation notice. I never got the email I called and went on person after they had charged me for two months after I cancel in person. The second time I went they told me the same thing I told them to send me the email just to make sure since I didn't receive it AGAIN - he gave me an attitude and finally he sent it -I told them that I did what I was supposed to do to cancel my membership but it was never cancel and I was charged for two months (I also mentioned him that after I cancel I never used my account again even though I still had days left- he confirmed bc he looked at my history check in) he said I needed to talk to a manger which by the way difficult to get in touch with. He told me to come a certain day he was working ( I did and apparently he was off that day) I after I finally was able to talk to him he had the audacity to tell me there is no way for me to prove that I went to cancel (they are literally cámaras there and we could have easily talk with the guy who took care of me) but that was useless cause they claim he no longer works there. On top of that they accused me of sharing my account with someone else (an old lady - I have no idea what they were talking about when the other gentleman confirmed what I told him which was I NEVER USED MY ACCOUNT AFTER I CANCEL THE FIRST TIME) I was too tired to continue dealing with people that clearly knew they messed up and didn't want to make it right. read more

It's 10 dollars a month....so I guess you get what you pay for. I use this gym because frankly I'm super busy during the week and it doesn't make sense for me to pay for a more expensive gym. However....my issues are...not enough equipment. Not enough plates at the smith machines. Not enough benches at the smith machines, not enough machines in general. It's small so when they let teenagers come in the summer it's awful. If you enjoy working out...then don't come here in the summer. Lately it's been pretty dirty. Looks like they changed some staff members...so hopefully it will get better. My plan is to go to crunch in the new year, mostly because of lack of equipment. read more

Planet Fitness Hicksville. The staff is very nice, but unfortunately they do not listen when a customer is unhappy about something. They refuse to allow freedom of choice in the television programs we are able to watch during our workouts. If you watch CNN it's fine. Another basic gym that is not very accepting of gym rats. If your a serious workout person this is not the gym for you. Gym is for beginners and people who don't work out often. They even give pizza out on Fridays, very counter productive. As far as equipment it's in pretty good shape and they do offer alot of cardio equipment. It's also very cheap so not a bad option for a college or high school student. read more

By far one of the dirtiest gyms I've been too. The equipment is basically what you'd expect from a planet fitness. The bathrooms are disgusting! I get it, no one likes to clean toilets. But someone should be assigned. Your better off using the toilets in rikers island. I have to be honest the only reason I continue to go is the price. This is definitely my go-to 24 hour type gym. I have been here dozens of times this year. I can't find a better place with the convenience, as such, it gets a five star rating. Pros: * Positive vibe here, every time. * New machines installed 12/10/2017 * Friendly front desk * Ample parking * Not too busy * Clean gym and locker room in my opinion. * Hydromassage and chairs always available. Cons (minor): * Patrons never put back plates or barbells in order, it should be heaviest on bottom. Curvy barbells on one side, straight on the other. Am I right? * Smith machines might be better off downstairs with the weights. * Cable machine tools do not have enough space to be racked so they usually are scattered * Treadmills and stair machines are just a tad dated, but I am told they will also get updated. Who uses old iPhones anymore? * Parking could end up far depending on the time you go, it's right next to "Unique" I think PF patrons fight for spaces here * Music could be louder/clearer, but I bring my earbuds usually. read more

This place is Severely over crowded. I do not know why they allow so many People in at a time. My 1-2 hour work out becomes a 3-4 hour drag because of the high amount of people vs. The amount of machines there. This place has the potential to be great, but until they either cut down on the amount of people they let in at certain times, or they invest in more machines accommodate all the people that go there. I am writing this for Ralph a member for at least 10 years .He is complaining to me and that's why he has me posting this . He is a senior and has been going to Planet Fitness for at least 10 years . The gym in Hicksville is closed for repairs and the only one he can go to is in Levittown . Unfortunately he couldn't get on any machine for at least a.hour since the SUMMER FREE frenzy that was given to teenagers . The reason why he must go to the gym is to improve health and to increase his cardio . Sadly he is on the search for a more customer friendly gym that appreciates the people who do pay the dues! . The repairs on his local gym should have been postponed until after (September )FREE SUMMER deal offered . Poor management for sure. read more

Nothing against Planet Fitness of Hicksville - BUT I have to say I am a bigger fanof Planet Fitness of Levittown. I was a member of PF Hicksville because most of my friends went there to workout - and who doesn't love working out with your best gal pals?? Now that I'm working in the city and getting home later in the evening, I made the switch to Levittown as it is closer to my house. First thing I noticed was the parking - MUCH better setup than Hicksville. No matter what time I go, there are plenty of spots in the big parking lot. Speaking of abundance, I've never had to wait for a machine. Whether I go after work on a weekday, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday morning - there are plenty of workout space and machines to spare. The first floor (the one you walk into) is filled with bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals. You walk downstairs for the locker rooms, bathrooms, weighted machines, and free weights. I've never feel alone, but I never feel crowded. You can't beat $10/month. I consider myself a very active person - I workout on my lunch break, I take yoga classes at an aerial gravity friendly studio, and workout at Planet Fitness. PF honestly has everything I need - nice people, plenty of equipment, a clean workout environment. It's extremely convenient, efficient, clean, and affordable. I highly suggest signing up! And if you want a little extra, sign up for the black card; you can enjoy discounts, tanning, massages, and more! read more

Went in there this evening not only is the place smelly and musty there is absolutely no AC there is no circulation it was so hot and so humid I had to leave I couldn't even do my work out. I really did love this gym, I loved how close it was to my job, and previously it helped me lose a bunch of weight. I really enjoyed and got some use out of my membership. The troubles I have had with PF started when i reinjured myself at work and my doctor told me to take it easy for a few months. This was during covid times, so I went in to cancel my membership, as I also wasn't using the gym out of fear of covid anyways. The person behind the desk was so nice, but she convinced me to simply put my account on hold. So I asked her what to do in case I still wasn't better and covid was still around after the 3 months? She said to keep coming back and putting it on hold. I did that once more after the initial 3 months, and then went back again to try and cancel, as I was moving and figured I needed a gym closer to home. Again, I got told I didn't need to cancel, oh you can use your card at any PF, it's fine. So I did that for a while, and used the PF gyms closer to me. Things were fine until I found out my company that I work for offers a special deal where they will pay for my gym membership, but only if I sign up through their link or through their program. I went into this PF location, asked originally to put on hold, but the very nice person working the desk told me it wouldn't be a big deal to cancel, just so i could re sign up under my company's program. So he canceled my account for me, and I asked if I needed to do anything else. He said no, and I left. Fast forward to today, I see I was charged for Planet Fitness, maybe 4 days later. I was annoyed, but figured there had to be a good reason, maybe the system was delayed or something. Nope, turns out I apparently was not actually canceled, and it was just "pending cancelation" Whatever that means. I wonder why in the world they do it that way, but I think I have my answer, given that every time I tried to cancel previously I got told it was okay to just "put the account on hold". I don't want to be mean to anyone, but it's really discouraging that it's been so hard to cancel. It makes me not want to even come back to this gym when I do sign up through my company. I will say that the staff member I dealt with the time that I went to cancel was so nice, that's why my review is 2 stars, that one staff member was so wonderful. I don't remember his name, but he was super friendly and polite and genuinely seemed so helpful. I just wish that PF would not make it so difficult to cancel, considering you guys taking out that monthly fee put me on the negative with my bank account. Great prices, great atmosphere and great equipment/amenities what more could you want from a gym? Cleanliness is a BIG DEAL for me, especially in a place where germs and bacteria can linger easily. I assumed on a Saturday afternoon I'd find sweat lingering on the cushions of machines and dirt on the mats, but to my surprise I saw neither. Everyone was respectful of cleaning up after themselves and placing equipment in it's designated holding. The women's locker room was also neat and tidy and very spacious. Only downfall was getting to the upper level after an intense leg session and then walking back down after an additional 20 min cardio session. read more

I actually really like Planet Fitness. I was kinda skeptical when I first found out about their $10 promo deals. I thought to myself... "What gym only charges $10 a month?!" Like how good could it be? For the person that just wants the minimum, this is your place. I wish there were group fitness classes, but I don't have time for those anyway. Other establishments usually have saunas, spas, etc. I don't need that. Just give me a treadmill, free weights and weight machines and the rest is good. The area that this Planet Fitness is located isn't the best but I always make sure to go in the daytime. As for the size of the location, it's fairly big and I have never had a problem getting a treadmill. Their facilities are clean and the staff is always friendly. There is locker room space that I use, showers, bathrooms, changing rooms, etc. I really do enjoy going here and will continue to do so. It's so cheap! And convenient. read more

I have been to several other PF locations in upstate NY and Florida. Unfortunately, this one which is my home gym cannot measure up to any of the others in terms of cleanliness. The equipment is great and plenty of it but there are dust bunnies everywhere, dirt on stairs.and often the paper towels and spray bottles are empty. Also garbage cans often overflowing. Today i noticed that the stairs need a good vacuuming and as i was leaving i walked by the desk and there are 6 people behind the desk. Another PF is opening up in the area and i think that will become my new home gym. If i encounter the same issues,i will pay a little more and leave PF. read more

I came here once about two years ago and it reeked of a cat pee type smell. It took me that long to come back here after that. I really was missing out! Despite that one fluke, this gym seems very clean. That may mostly because they don't seem crowded at all when I come here. This is very convenient for getting the equipment you need. The upstairs/downstairs split confused me at first and wish they maybe had a sign letting you know what's in each area instead of having to wander between up and downstairs for what you need. Overall, I'm glad I gave this gym a second chance. read more

Seriously, if you're not looking for some sort of health club you can be involved in and you're just looking to take care of yourself, Planet Fitness is the place to go. In my opinion there's absolutely no reason for the 20$ black card, it's an extra 10$ and you're locked in for a year, where as the 10$ card is 10$ cancel any time. The upsides to the black card? Well, you can get a discount on drinks *So bring a friggin water bottle from home, not too hard, reduce reuse recycle anyhow!* Massage chairs *really? just... really?* Tanning *Soo you're going to work out to be healthy... yet damage your skin... alright... sounds good....* Be able to go to any PF nationwide *I mean that sounds decent but still.... how often do you really visit other gyms?* And I mean bring a guest, I guess that's cool and all, but personally I'm a fan of being alone. So essentially if you want to get your own shit done to be healthy for yourself, there's nothing wrong with a cheap gym. Also they're open 24 hours most days, so go after it's crowded, I rarely wait for a machine after 9 and 3am is the most relaxing gym experience you could ever have. The employees are friendly with the exception of the guy who signed me up, and if you need help figuring out what you should be working on they will assist you. For 10$ I think this is a great gym for anyone looking to just take care of themselves on their own. read more

Now when I signed up for the YEAR MEMBERSHIP I assumed after the year I would be ASKED to renew. Not so. They AUTOMATICALLY RENEW WITHOUT INFORMING YOU!!!! It's like those websites that scam you by getting you to sign up for a free trial and then hit you with a bigger fee after a 3 day period. When I called 3 weeks ago to see what date my contract ended, the employee was not only rude but when I expressed that I wanted to cancel without the penalty or the renewal started, he said, and I quote, "well, even if we do renew it it's only Month to Month". Is that supposed to make me feel better or happy? You want to take more money from me for a gym I don't use and it's just "hey whatever"????? What kind of business is this really? The staff is not knowledgeable in fitness. JUST BECAUSE YOU PROMOTE A GYM FOR THE EVERYDAY AVERAGE JOE DOESN'T MEAN YOUR STAFF HAS TO BE ONE TOO. I give this place a solid 4 stars. It's $10 a month for a nicely sized gym that gives you really all you need to get back into shape. The top floor has lots of cardio machines and I've never had to wait for one. (Yeah, big boy uses the treadmill too so stop your disbelief) they have your typical gym pop music playing in the background and tv's playing a variety of shows. (In the morning they have Charmed on so you can pretend like you're running to Alyssa Milano......not that I'd know anything about that) The basement has the free weights and weight machines. And there are plenty so waiting is usually never an issue. Plus they have mirrors so you can admire yourself as you get your workout on. The gym itself is clean although the men's locker room always seems to smell like a crap and fish market fusion. (We really are vile creatures.... For the love of god how bout a courtesy flush) I think they'd do well to install a dozen of those automatic air freshness or flame throwers. That might work too. Really though folks, it's a $10 a month gym that gets the job done and allows you to get pumped up cheaply. read more
