I really appreciate having this Planet Fitness location in Brevard County. I've exercised at this location many times. I remember the very first time that I exercised here. I was so sick from chronic stress syndrome that I could only work out on the elliptical for 5 minutes! I told myself that I would increase my workouts by 5 minutes each day that I came to the gym. The next day after my workout, I felt SO much better, just even working out for that first 5 minute workout, that I continued to come back every day. It was like medicine. This is a huge reason why I believe holistic medicine is so very important in our lives and exercise is a form of holistic medicine. Well I came back 6 days a week from that day on, and I quickly brought my workout sessions up to 60 minutes a session on the elliptical. This is such a wonderful gym, at such an affordable membership price. They even have showers! Thank you Planet Fitness for giving me an affordable, supportive, safe, fun, and healing place to workout. You and your fantastic team are very much appreciated! read more

I've been to a few PF locations (Cali & Merritt island), & this location needs some cosmetic updates. This location was the second one built about 8-10 years ago & it shows. The ceiling lights are dim and some are broken. It doesn't feel as modern compared to the Merritt island or spacious, but I feel Rockledge is bigger with more equipment. I noticed they had stretching machines & other types of equipment the other location didn't have. It is an overall clean facility. I didn't like how the spray bottles are hung on the garbage cans. Other locations I've been to had a separate table or hangover area for spray bottles. Staff looked like they did their best to clean & I saw a young lady vacuuming, staff wiping machines & sweeping. This gym is crowded and has a diverse crowd from high schoolers, college students to seniors. It is definitely not an equinox or bodybuilding gym--Some very fit, and some are starting their journey. I'm not surprised because Viera is known for families & Florida in general is known for its senior community. I came in around 5pm on a Tuesday & observed someone being trained in front of me. I know that this type of gym is where most personal trainers Will start their experience. The trainer didn't seem attentive. The trainer was checking out a girl passing by & not engaged with the trainee. They were on their phone and not that friendly or smiling to encourage the trainee. They did however clean the equipment for them . Maybe the trainer was tired, but usually one on one trainings needs more attention or engagement. I've had trainers from other similar gyms like EOS & 24 fitness where some are good and others weren't as attentive or professional, so if you're going to get a trainer here just make note of what you like or don't like with your trainer. I noticed this same trainer give a tour to a prospective trainee with better engagement. I feel the Black spa facilities are better at Merritt island. I used the massage chair at this location and it was still good, just not as new. I'm not a big fan of this location-- Dim lighting with low ceilings feels outdated, crowded, and black spa needs more machines. read more

I started going to this gym early 2023, which is about 10 min away for me. They had everything I needed to spend about an hour working out. I used the 30 minute workout machines most of all. They removed all of the machines about a month ago and didn't replace them. Now I have to drive 25 min. to Melbourne to work out. Looking for alternatives to Planet Fitness now. Sad. read more

Rockledge, Florida Planet Fitness is the best gym I have ever seen! The best! They have multiple treadmills so no matter the time of day there is one available! Not much in the way of free weights, but many different machines to make up for that! Staff are some of the friendliest I have ever met! They go out of their way to please you. For the last year, I've been a member of Planet Fitness with the gym located on Apollo Blvd. in Melbourne, Florida being my "home gym." To be frank, it isn't the best of the best and it doesn't have everything that a more updated gym has, but it had enough. Unfortunately, it was not enough as the big guys who ran the place saw fit that it needed an upgrade. Ergo for one month, I went to the Planet Fitness located in Rockledge, Florida. I realized I was missing much when I went there. The Rockledge Planet Fitness is located on U.S.-1 in a shopping plaza. Upon entering, I was treated to one of the most beautiful facilities any Planet Fitness could offer. There were numerous workout machines, a crossfit section, an abs, back, and core section, rows and rows of cardio machines, and weight machines. Just like most Planet Fitness locations, it is not catered to bodybuilders as free weights and free press stations are non-existent. Still, for the basic patron, it is good enough. I will say the "spa" section blows away all others. There is a full room dedicated to massages on the hydro bed or chair. However, the one thing that really got my attention was the Black card hair stylist. For Black card members, they can get a free haircut. Other amenities were similar too. In the end, I loved the Rockledge Planet Fitness. I would go back there simply for the haircut. As for me, I give it a solid four out of five stars though many of my collegues found issues. let's start out this review with the temperature of the day it's 62° with a wind with a chill in the wind. I just drove 15 minutes in my V8 gas guzzler to my rock ledge club to do my regular massage and tan. I do this once to twice a week. On this adventure, I love to take my dog because any chance I get I take my dog out of the house. because I love her and she's sad if she's sitting at the house she'd rather be with me. So every store I go to I take my dog. As long as I'm not gonna be over 30 minutes I take my dog everywhere I go. I came in. I got a massage I came to check in for my tan and EMMA rudely told me which car is yours out there. I said the four Runner she said sir we're gonna have to ask you to leave and I can't do anything else for you. You left your dog in the truck. I said I take her everywhere. well sorry, sir. There's nothing else we can do for you today. it's not even hot outside the windows are down. It's none of her f n business. i'll never return to this club and I'm gonna cancel my membership. I would say DO NOT USE THIS CLUB!!!!!! 3 stars says it all people!!!! read more

The showers here are cold and wouldn't get hot at all. Also if you are black card member guess they won't let you use the amenities. There were 5 other fitnesses that allowed us and this one will refuse. The staff was nice other than not allowing us to use the amenities. read more

Pro: The lighting in this place is amazing, super dim and relaxing! I wish my home PF lighting was the same. But that was the only pro I had during my visit. Cons: This gym does NOT go by the standards of "No Gymatation". It was packed with extremely large body builders. I lasted 45 minutes before feeling incredibly uncomfortable. I felt super uneasy in this gym packed with a very beefed up crowd. The walls in the ab sections are extremely dirty, I'm not sure how on earth the dirt marks go up 30ft. Will not be returning due to the crowd mostly. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting the workers are rude! Treated me with disrespect and I went to the counter to tell them. about someone calling on the phone by abs and stretching and after I left the counter I could hear them talking about me which was very very rude. The equipment are never clean. Trash always on the ground. Tanning beds are nasty they don't clean them like they say they do after each use and the bathrooms are never clean, There were used Tampons on the floor. told one of the workers about the bathroom but didn't seem to Care on top of that multiple workout machines were broke and they stated they were fixing it but came back multiple times to work out and we're still broken. I wouldn't recommend this gym there are way better places and cheaper. Don't waste your money on this gym. read more

Great Facilty. Unlike my expensive gyms in NYC, all the equipment in their Rockledge branch, is always functioning, no downtime. Great staff. Who knew, 20 years ago when I was paying 200 dollars a month that i would now be paying 10 dollars a month for a way better facility. I was a VIP black card holder and while I didn't get to go very often , it wasn't until I tried to cancel my membership that issues have plauged me. Be very careful when attempting to cancel as Planet fitness will continue to take monthly payments from your bank account. I've tried several times to have them return my money and cancel my membership but the manager from my club (Rockledge) claims I have to pay the annual membership fee now before Planet Fitness will cancel my membership. The attitude from staff as well as Manager(if you could find one) very unprofessional and seemed not to care about any customer service. I gave a written cancellation back in Feb and Planet Fitness is still trying to get paid. Don't go to info@planetfitness.com no one reads the cancellation emails. Thanks but no thanks... They give out free hair cut at the gym in cacao beach Florida at the planet fitness. Monday & Wednesday 3 pm to 8 pm. Out of the 50 planet fitness I have been to in 23 states I vote this one the best. read more

I travel for work every day and train at PF's around the U.S. with this facility in Rockledge being the closest thing to a home club as I have. During the Covid shut down they remodeled the facility and it is nice. Smells new and nice, bathrooms are super clean and the staff is great. Went from a 4 star to a 5 in my book! I have been a member for five years. During the down time from Covid the gym has undergone an awesome upgrade. The staff and management have made sure that the machines are well spaced apart, there are plenty of cleaning stations with hand sanitizer and the gym is sparkling clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and continually cleaning. The members have been very cooperative in trying to keep everyone safe and I feel very comfortable being back at this gym even with the uptick in Covid cases in Florida. From out of state. It's been rather cloudy the last couple of days, so I figured I'd go jump in the tanning booth. I always opt for the max time allowed, then I can just get out early if I feel I'm done. The max time here is 12 minutes! A lot more than where I'm from. The guy told me they just got new bulbs, so to be careful. I usually can't stay in the bed more than 7 minutes, max! The bulbs in this bed were so dull that not only did I stay in the entire 12 minutes, but my skin never even got hot. Also, the floor in the tanning room was DISGUSTING! I had to brush the debris off of my feet before I put my shoes on. The bed was no different. A layer of dust on top of it. Nasty. read more

Planet Fitness overall is amazing. I love seeing new gyms, the new atmospheres, the way different owners go about things, etc. ...... This location is ok, but lacks the energy a gym really needs. I feel it might come with the fact that I am 30 years old and the next youngest person there was 2x my age. The music was super low, and I just had no motivation to work out like I normally do. Plus the guy who was working wasnt all that nice. He seemed super bored and uninterested in being there. Very average location, in my opinion. read more

I have been coming to Planet Fitness for around five months now. What is surprising is that even tho it's in a small town, this location has a great selection of equipment. I have been to the other locations including Tallahassee, Orlando, and Kissimmee, and for some reason this Planet Fitness is the only one that has TRX training equipment which is really cool. For black card members, they have 2 hyrdo massage beds and 2 regular chair massages which is so nice after a good workout. They also have a barber shop black card members - which i have never seen at any other PF. The staff here is really friendly and welcoming- they make it a point to learn everyone's names. read more

This is a good overall gym. I would say as a gym it would be a 3 as it does not have some equipment. For as low as $10 a month I will add a star for value. It is also open most hours. I found it very clean, and the temp was fine for me. I usually just do cardio and never felt overheated, and never thought there was a humidity problem. I usually go before noon, so maybe it gets worse as the day goes on. There are sanitizer spray bottle stations throughout the gym. It would be nice to have hand sanitizer available. TVs are nice, but only very basic cable. They have a lot of machines and rarely have to wait for anything. read more

Post May-2016 Remodel Review. The result is bad for anybody who likes free weights. No more free weights, no more bench press, no more preacher curls, Much of it has been replaced with Hammer Strength, which I like Hammer Strength machines, but there's not enough. And in my opinion, Hammer Strength should supplement free weights, not replace them. If anything get rid of the other machines that Hammer Strength makes redundant and obsolete. The preacher bench was not replaced with a Hammer Strength machine, it was just removed. You don't get rid of free weights at a gym - period. I'm going to be looking for a new gym. read more

Been coming here for years. Have had other memberships during however you can't beat the price. The hours are great, wish they were open more on weekends. The place stays pretty clean considering how many people are there everyday. The staff though is wonderful. They do a great job at retaining staff members, and when they switch it's good ones. Nothing like going to a good gym and not liking the staff. I come here late at night and never have any problem. Great place if you live locally. read more

Maybe I've been spoiled by a new gym, but this facility needs a makeover. The place looks like an institutional gym, the equipment is old, it reeks of ammonia, and there's barely anyone at the desk. I had to walk into a tanning booth just to get someone to the desk. When they are there they don't ask for cards-anyone could virtually walk in and start working out. I hope they either upgrade this location or open a new one close by. read more

Typical membership rip off. Came in the month my contract was up, was told I could not cancel because I would get a buy-out fee. I asked for my membership to not be automatically renewed. I just got charged an annual fee. Called location to be told "they have no record of the conversation." I asked to speak to the young lady who I spoke too. Of course "she is no longer with company!" Surprise! Now I am being told by the manager I would have cancelled the membership when I came in and now it is too late, they will not refund the annual fee. read more

Nice place to workout, clean, everything you need.

The place is fairly clean BUT...... when they first opened they kept the gym about 67 degrees. Now that they have a lot of people signed up they keep it at 73 degrees. It saves them money but it is extremely oppressive particularly when it is humid inside. They have a few fans installed that the members try to crowd around but they have signs to not touch them or the thermostats. Comments to the staff result in a shrug. read more

Awesome! Had been going to the one in Cocoa and will never go back. This one is the largest Planet Fitness I have seen and they pack it with a lot of equipment that most PFs don't have. Mind you I went in the middle of the day so I don't know how busy that get during rush hour. read more

They keep the gym way too hot and there are three fans on the floor to circulate air which is not enough to keep it cool and reduce the smell of sweat the hits you as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly but overall not happy with this gym. Need to invest in a lot more fans and some hand sanitizer to put around the gym because no one washes down the equipment. read more
