I will no longer recommend the Trevose location to WOMEN! Changes have been made that cater to the MALE population. For example: the Adduction/Abduction machine (which was 2 for each muscle group) is now ONE machine (which I get bruises from on the inside and outside of my thighs WHEN I can get on the machine). This is typically a FEMALE machine, so of course, since TREVOSE is NOT catering to WOMEN, they downsized this machine from 4 to 1. In addition, the aerobic machines have DOWNSIZED tremendously. Last Saturday, I could NOT get on a Treadmill OR an elliptical because it was SO busy. Again, aerobic machines typically cater to WOMEN. Of course the 30 minute express and the outside of this area has NOW FREE WEIGHT MACHINES WHICH CATER 90% BY MEN. VERY UPSET. My favorite planet fitness that's worth the extra 20 mins of driving. It's right outside of NE Philadelphia. This location is filled of friendly staff. It's very clean and you don't have people who hog machines at this location. I go in, get my workout done and leave. They have a lot of machines to choose from, and I especially love the circuit machines. You can work out for 39-45 mins and work out your entire body! This location beats any of the locations in Philadelphia. Love the fact that I pay only 20 dollars a month and I get to bring a guest with me every time to the gym. I also save on drinks and can buy them for half off compared to the other members who pay 10 dollars a month. I also can utilize the tanning beds and massage chairs as much as I want to. Overall I'm glad I joined planet fitness and I am happy with my results and weight loss since joining. read more

I have been to several Planet Fitness locations in the past year. All of them, except Trevose when you walk in you are presented with smiling professional, looking adults who keep the club clean and have pride in their job. They are knowledgeable about the equipment, and very mature. At this location the front staff looks and acts like they should be working at a Mall kiosk and going to high school during the day. One employee in particular named Mel is especially obnoxious ,unprofessional and rude. They treated me so badly despite me telling them that we had a devastating family tragedy. I was truly shocked at her behavior and lack of kindness and professionalism. The gym is often dirty and it's very frustrating to see the front staff looking at their phones instead of cleaning up. The manager who I tried to report the issue with Mel to was like talking to a child. She was unprofessional, rude and literally talked like a kid sticking up for her friends, rather than listening to a customer who was treated really badly. Honestly, I told her that I was not looking for any compensation or free stuff. I just wanted an apology as a customer. She was so immature about it, and the tone of her voice was like someone who wanted to fight me instead of help me. After speaking with the rude manager , I decided to switch to the Warminster club. However, I think the owner of this franchise should be aware of what is happening in her investment and I plan on continuing to write emails and follow through. To give a picture of how extreme this terrible treatment was, I am a 45 year old mother of three and barely have time to shower let alone worry about a planet fitness location, but it was that bad! I highly recommend Langhorne, Warminster, or even Jámison that is opening very soon !! read more

It has a lot of equipment to use, not crowded like other PF , very clean, and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I try to come here 3-5 times a week but sometimes with working full time it is hard to make it. If you or any one you know is looking for a great gym to join I recommend trying this PF. read more

It's hard to believe with all the times I have spent in gyms over the years, I had never made it to a Planet Fitness until 3/16/19. I tried Planet Fitness after being very disappointed with the gym at the hotel I was staying at. I called and asked if they had guest passes. The women at the front desk was kind enough after I disclosed I was not from the area to let me know that a free guest pass was available online. Planet Fitness is very large so you don't feel like you're working out next to a stranger. I liked the fact that guests had the options to plug in to hear the plethora of mounted TVs. I was surprised that Planet Fitness did not see protein bars in addition to their Poweraid products. I also felt they could have used some more cleaning stations near the muscle equipment (not the free weights). It took me several minutes to figure out where the cleaning stations where. If I had one had a suggestion, if you're considering a Plant Fitness is to bring some fitness notes with you. The gym is a little overwhelming with the number of equipment and sections (i.e. machines, free weights, cardio, mats) and it can be hard to focus on why you're there. In a nutshell, I can see the appeal of the Planet Fitness Chain. read more

So I've been coming to this gym off and on for a couple of years, and not much has changed. It's just like all the other planet fitness gyms, except this one is a lot less crowded than say the Langhorne one down the road. Be warned week nights are insanity, especially in the winter, but if you want to beat the crowds it's dead Sunday evenings. An average gym, it gets the job done. read more

This place is a disgrace to the morals of society. I signed my children up years ago. They kept charging me and refused to cancel even though I am disabled and can't get around easily and my son works multiple jobs. After my son finally took off work to handle this and gave them his credit card, they still charged me today which caused a check to bounce and cost me $25. The Assistant Mgr. Shawn refused to credit anything because he said they needed a checking account, which isn't true because I know friends that charge to their credit card, which was never explained to us by the rep who changed and allegedly deleted my account off the record a month ago. I'm new to Planet Fitness and am really impressed with what they have for the price of the membership. The Trevose location has a lot of machines and the times that I have been there, the facility looks clean. There are always people at the front desk that are willing to answer questions. I have yet to take a class or sign up for a personal trainer but I like that those options are available. It would be nice if the female trainer's schedule was better suited for those who work outside of Bucks County and can't get there until after 6pm. With that being said, there is a male trainer who has availability at better hours. The restroom and locker areas have been clean the times I've been there but I do find it funny that they have advertisements for cookie drives there. read more

Planet Fitness - Gyms Near Me - Trevose, Pennsylvania

Cheap and basic. Plenty of ellipticals and treadmills with usually no wait to get on. Occasionally there are waits during peak times - especially during the guilt periods (New Years, right before summer, etc). Free weights up to 60lbs, but the area is rather small. Some pulleys, some self-spotting benches and some machines. You can always count on something being broken, but never an excessive amount of machines are "out of order" at any given time. They have a 30 minute workout circuit, however, often times someone is using a single machine which can lead to awkward encounters or skipping over it and coming back. The staff does not enforce the "For circuit use only" policy as stated by the signs in the section. They also seem to have issues with their stop-light timer. The staff, while friendly, seems to be only there to check you in and occasionally clean up when the trash gets out of control... however, for $10/mo (basic) or $20/mo (free guest/workout buddy at home gym, access to all other gyms, half off drinks and free tanning)... you can't beat it if you're only looking for some cardio work and some weight training. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to get into shape without feeling self-conscious. Compared to LA Fitness, the atmosphere is less intense and also skews a bit older, and for the most part (as much as gyms go), really is the "no judgement zone" read more

No frills, good strength equipment, better cardio machines. Guys, the dumb bells stop at 60 lbs, there are no straight bars, barbells, or flat benches or squat racks. They have 3 Smith machines, several adjustable benches for the dumb bells, and three power racks with cables. There are dozens of treadmills and ellipticals and exercise bikes. There are no protein shakes or drinks available, just Gatorade and water. I left LA Fitness after 6 years because the A-hole ratio was too unbearable anymore. I am a former muscle head but due to various injuries after 25 years of lifting, this is the place I need. Working on getting lean again and did not need the juice head and AXE swagger d-bags anymore from LA Fitness. The staff is helpful and the place is immaculate compared to other gyms. Besides for $10 a month, who can complain. read more

I was attempting to cancel my membership and hadn't been to the gym in over a year when I saw a $39 fee on October 1st posted to my bank account. I called to speak to the manager and explain that I hadn't been using my membership in over a year and wanted to cancel it get this $39 fee refunded. I was told I had to come in to cancel my membership and that the fee was non-refundable. The GM Priscilla advised that she couldn't refund it since I hadn't cancelled the membership 7 days prior. They never explained that the $39 fee was a recurring charge, I was told it was only $10 per month after the initial payment to start the membership. Priscilla has to be one of the most unprofessional and miserable people I have ever encountered in a customer service position. She could see that I hadn't been to the gym in over a year and still would not even speak to me about cancelling the membership and refunding the fee. She advised that it's a case by case basis and that she could do nothing for me, all while giving me this angry grin and annoyed look. I asked to speak to the business owner was promptly told that it was not possible and I would have to reach out to Corporate. This was a deceptive practice of not disclosing all of the hidden fees associated with being a member. When I signed up, it was supposed to be $10 per month with no hidden fees. Priscilla should not be in a position that provides customer service in any matter. If I were the business owner, I would want my GM to speak to people in a courteous and professional manner. Priscilla is an unmitigated disaster and I hope that this gym continues to lose business because of her. If you are the business owner, please contact me so I can discuss this with you. The equipment here is in very decent shape. Comparable to LA Fitness and definitely maintained better than Red Lion. Not too many people here which is great!! I would give 5 stars if there was more variety of ab machines. Not even the 12 minute ab section. Seriously only one torso twister and one regular sit up machine. Also for the two purple ab roller machines behind the tvs, they hurt like hell when you're kneeling on them, there is minimal cushion and it's not even formed well for your knees to sit. They have one assisted pull up machine as well. Smaller and less ab machines than red lion, but cleaner and the machines are better maintained. read more

Initially, Planet Fitness SEEMS like a great deal. $10-$20/month for a gym membership, when others cost $50+/month? Sign me up, right? Not so much, guys! Every PF location is franchised. Good luck ever getting hold of the owner if you need assistance or have a complaint. I joined back in February. My back went out in June. I called, told them that I couldn't drive, let alone walk, and I wanted to cancel my membership. The staff member on the phone assured me that since mine were extenuating circumstances, it would be taken care of, although normally to cancel your membership, you have to come in or send in a form via certified mail. A month later, I'm getting billed, complete with a late fee. Call in, complain, nothing gets resolved. 2 weeks later, I'm being billed again, with the same late fee. Go in, the manager, Chelsea, informs me, "you're shit out of luck," throws a form at me to sign, and walks away. "No, we have no contact numbers for anyone." If you want a gym where people care about you as an individual and NOT about your nominal membership fee, AVOID THIS SPECIFIC PLANET FITNESS AT ALL COSTS (note: I haven't heard any complaints about the Langhorne location on Business Route 1). The locker rooms are always dirty, the tanning rooms are filthy, none of the provided audio players work, no can be bothered to refill the paper towels used to wipe down the equipment (or pick them up off the floor when the bins start to overflow, or empty those bins), and to top it off, the staff is more concerned with entertaining THEIR guests than they are with the people PAYING to be there. read more

I love going to the gym here, and the whole staff is great, especially Nicole and Rachel. They both take the time to help me out with a great workout routine that I need. Planet Fitness does the job. Is it perfect? No. (No pool, track, steam or sauna, limited free weights, unwatchable TVs , weird with the rules, no grunting, dropping of weights etc.) Bottom line, 10 bucks a month, if you just use this facility. Can't beat that! That's like nothing and the contracts aren't a hassle to get out of I heard. If you are seriously a fitness freak, or body builder the selection here might not be enough, but for the average Joe like me, place is fine for keeping tone and in shape, and again the best bang for your buck. Plenty of newer cardio machines,good air ventilation with the large over head fans. Place is clean, bathrooms and locker, shower area are small but again clean. Very dirty ,most do not wipe equipment after usage.trash is overflowing.Broken equipment remains inoperable for 3-4 weeks.The tanning booths are a real waste of time,since the bulbs are old,in desprerate need of replacing,impossible to aquire a tan. read more

Ah good ole' Planet Fitness Trevose! I have been a member for around 2 years now. Over those two years the gym has gone downhill. I cant get myself to pay for a LA membership because the basic needs i have at planet fitness for $10 is reasonable. I always worry about catching something in this gym! VERY DIRTY! First, this gym needs an upgrade. the machines are always breaking and once the staff is notified it takes the maintenance persons about a month or so to actually fix and correct the problem. The treadmills are way overdue for an upgrade the caps on all the corners are broken if they haven't fallen off already. Currently there is a broken pull down bar that's been broken for 2 weeks with a sign on it. There's always trash on the floor. The showers in the men's room are disgusting long overdue for a cleaning, possible mold growing in them?! yuck! They do not enforce there policy of having members wipe down the machines before and after they use them (probably because they never have stuff in the bottles and run out of brown paper towels) that's not considering they always have overflowing trashcans! The over-night is suppose to have a cleaner but they usually sit around in the massage chairs and play on their phones/ video games! take a look down on the sides of the treadmills the next time you use them YUCK! Second, the staff. There's a few people there that should not work in customer service ever! The blonde girl at the front desk (Nicole) might be the worst person on staff. I've never seen her smile once and she never greets you upon entrance to the gym. She's just an unfriendly person! Whether she's texting on her phone or blasting horrible scream-o music on the computer for all to hear she just doesn't pay attention when people try to check-in at the front desk. The redheaded girl is the same! unfriendly, grumpy, and doesn't seem to care about anything. The "Free Fitness Training" included with your membership? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME... the classes are worthless. unless you have never been inside a gym then you wont gain anything from their "Certified trainers" they either aren't even working that day or they come in late for your appointment. Twice i've set a class up and both times i didn't have a class due to "Illness or Running late". TERRIBLE. please save yourself the effort and don't acknowledge the trainers who aren't even real trainers. As if the staff couldn't get any worse check out the midnight crew! As i understand theres a overnight cleaner but its hardly ever clean. they sit in massage chairs and text or play games! NEVER cleaning! IS THERE A MANAGER AT THIS PLACE! Third, gym members. Overall everyone is really nice that goes to this gym but from the people i talk to not many people are impressed with the Planet fitness location. as all the local clubs are upgrading this one remains a small neighborhood gym always being overlooked. depending upon the time you use the gym 1. morning crowd - usually older in age and some people working out before work! 2. afternoon crowd - lunch time workout crew! middle aged people! 3. dinner time - look out all the kiddies come to play! I've never seen anyone enforce the dress code, washing the machines before or after use, or being a "LUNK" Overall SAVE YOUR MONEY. I find nothing wrong with this gym! It is a great value for the money and convience. It may seem dirty in the winter because of the salt on the floor, and the high volume of people in the new year! The bathrooms are cleaned and checked often and don't seem to be dirty. If you look around someone is always cleaning! As far as the staff goes, they ARE friendly and polite. If you need anything they are willing to help you and if they do not have an answer, the manager will be happy to help. As far as the Grumpy staff I will have to disagree, when you arrive at the gym you are greeting with a hello, I am there to work out NOT to be friends with the young staff!!!
