I come here for a quick workout not as often as I should. It is always fairly crowded day or evening. I am usually able to utilize all the equipment that I want. I have the Black Card membership, the only thing that makes it worth it is being able to have a guest. Unfortunately, they are no longer allowing guests of members to utilize the massage chairs/bed, tanning, infrared. That is why I am giving them two stars. read more

You get what you pay for. I have a window of how long I can work out. I try to get in the 30 min workout circuit they advertise. But to be honest that is more the place where people sit on the equipment on their phones pretending to work out, and people come in and do "sets" at one machine and not the circuit. When I mention to the staff at the desk they never do anything about it. I end up leaving frustrated more often then I do refreshed from a good workout. Also the "busy" meter is not even close to accurate. 1 bar when I go there and I would say it was more like 5 bars busy. read more

i do enjoy my membership at planet fitness but i will say the scheduling for tbe, tanning and massage chairs is a joke. I often will sign up for a certain time only to find out that they just put someone in my time slot (seems they get behind). This is the cleanest, most up to date planet fitness I've ever been to. I was impressed with the machines that had counters on them that told you your reps as well as time. I can't focus a lot with all of the people and music so having a visual counter like that was really neat. I wish all PF gyms had that feature! Another nice aspect of this gym is that everything is sectioned out in different rooms so you don't feel like everyone is watching you all the time. I have been trying to contact them for months with no answer from the gym. I have sent emails with no response. They don't give you an option to cancel on the app or website. Do NOT get a membership here!!! Their pricing is very misleading. I was charged twice when I signed up in November. According to the online forms, I was taking part in a special. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged twice within about a weeks time totaling about $50 plus the annual fee. I went in to talk to them today and although the staff was very pleasant, nothing they said made sense. They told me I was charged for a pro rated amount when I signed up and the monthly fee. Why would I be charged for a full month AND pay a pro rated amount? I've only been a member for 30 days or so! I was also charged for the APP. What gym charges for their app??? When I asked to cancel I was told I would still be charged for another month even though I cancelled 5 days prior to my payment date. This place is a scam!! read more

10/5 update: another day here, another day where multiple staff members are behind the counter, not helping anyone while members are in the gym maskless. Their response below asking for a summary is a joke as I provided them with a summary in my review. Staff doesn't take Covid that serious. It's peak Delta variant and as it's been for months, you can never come in here without finding multiple people wearing masks under their nose or not at all. As of today, there's 4 others besides me in the weight station area and 100% of them have their masks under their nose, and one isn't wearing one at all. Staff has walked by and said nothing. Currently three staff are behind the front desk with no customers to help. Staff needs to constantly hand out warnings and cancel plans if rules can't be followed or they need to shutdown. I'd love a gym to workout but in an indoor space in a pandemic, if the members can't follow instructions and the gym won't do anything, there's no point in coming here or them being open. I was thrown out of planet fitness for my disability, and then threatened with security. I have diabetic neuropathy, which makes me unable to wear shoes due to the pain. They were given a note to put in their system by my doctor around a decade ago, and I have been fine until today when I was threatened by a woman inside and kicked out. Torie always greets myself and others with a smile, she's super knowledgeable about the services and very helpful. With all the people Torie must see coming in and out of the doors at this location she still remembers names. She calls out to you before you even scan your membership ID. And more than this, she seems to understand the intangibles that go with the position. Toilets had poop all over them, machines had sweat all over them and water fountain breaks on occasion. Cheap and affordable but you get what you pay for. I have been trying to cancel my daughter's membership since September 2018. I have sent a certified letter, had to stop payment at my bank and pay charges, now they are charging my credit card. This place is a great affordable gym. The equipment was always clean as well as the rest of the gym. They have plenty of cardio equipment, so there is never a wait. There are plenty of free weights, a good variety of strength training equipment. I never used the tanning or massage equipment so I can't comment to that. The clientele are respectful and cleanly. I would still be a member, but moved into an apartment complex with a gym. The employees were also very helpful and knowledgeable. The only problem I ever ran into is during the graveyard shift the counter is unmanned sometimes and you have to track down the employee, but they're never hard to find. (This review is post remodel. Having been to a handful of gyms throughout my life, I can say that this place has all the essentials that you will find at just about any other gym. There is no indoor running track or a swimming pool, but what there is a large amount of varied equipment (and ellipticals/stationary bikes/treadmills as far as the eye can see) that you will rarely find yourself having to wait for the machine you want. The environment at Planet Fitness is one of dedication to self. You don't see a lot of people chatting, just a lot of folks working on the core, cardio or lats in the most unpretentious way possible. The service staff will tell you themselves, they are there for fitness. For "Black Card" members (a 7 dollar increase monthly) you have access to automated massage tables, tanning beds and "red light" rooms which are, I am told, therapeutic. Bathrooms and showers are all clean and there are more than enough lockers on any time of the day to stash your goods when you arrive. Just remember to bring a lock with you. The one thing that Planet Fitness lacks, though, are dedicated training sessions in full view of all. There is, at various times, a trainer on hand, but I never see mass training sessions or efforts with people to get them collectively involved. See above-Planet Fitness is something of a solitary experience, not a communal one. If you are looking to find a good, clean centrally located place to burn off those unwanted cookies-this is your place to go for a no frills experience. read more

I was a member of this gym for over a year, and while you got exactly what you thought you would from the gym, and the staff is mostly all amazing and wonderful, it is a pain to leave. You actually have to give them notice that you want to not renew your contract with them in a TINY window of time or else your locked in again. I was pretty much told I had to do it on a particular day or else I was gonna be locked in again. The gym was nice for what it was and the price. Don't feel like I overpaid and the place was kept very very clean, but I wouldn't ever recommend someone get a contract with planet fitness for their gym just because of the amazingly weird way you have to end it properly without paying some massive fee. Again, nice location, friendly staff, their contracts automatically renew and you have a super short window of time to end your membership. I give this gym three stars. Here is why. It is inexpensive. You can pay either a low fee of 10 per month or upgrade for 20 which gets you the ability to use any location, bring guests and use the awesome hydro massage chairs. No classes with the pretty people prancing around in leotards and full make up. You can lift weights or use the cardio machines. Elliptical, treadmill, two styles of bikes and stair climber. Also a 30 minute weight circuit room. Annoying things:. Often loud music I don't enjoy but I can solve this with headphones. Why does it have to be so loud??? They don't have paper towels for hand drying in restrooms despite having paper towels everywhere else for cleaning machines. I solve this by going to the paper towels and drying my hands there. At one location they now have to check us in instead if letting us swipe our card ourselves. I hate waiting and sometimes I have to. Bonus points:. Pizza and bagels once a month. For free!!! This location is also next to a brew pub, a pizza joint a Subway and a coffee shop. Sometimes I skip the gym altogether and opt for beer. There is also a hardware store next door. The good thing about Planet Fitness is that you know what to expect across all locations, most of the time. Today was a small exception based on two very small things; 1.) The stair climbers were quite narrow and seemed slower and outdated compared to other locations; and 2.) The water station was a little different, almost outdated looking and a little dirty. I still gave five stars for this location because the staff was nice, there was someone actively cleaning equipment (shows they care), and the bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. Suggestion: Although the air dryers reduce the use of paper, it would be nice to have some paper towels in the restroom to wipe up the benches. After taking my stuff out of the shower, I had to set it on the bench to dry myself off and it got it the seating area all wet. It's not a big deal but I don't like leaving a wet mess for someone else to accidentally sit on. :) read more

While I understand that the original Planet Fitness agreement stipulates that cancellations can only be done in person or via a certified letter from the post office, this rule is dangerous and irresponsible to continue enforcing during the coronavirus pandemic. I am unable to go in public, either to the gym's location or to the post office, and though I've tried to speak to this location's employees twice, I've been refused any alternative assistance in canceling my account, aside from freezing it for a month. The employee I spoke with was also very callous in dealing with me. I said I would have to put a stop pay on my account if I couldn't find a way to cancel as I couldn't afford to keep paying, to which they threatened to send me to collections--for a service I'm not even using. And I had to ask multiple times before I was given a manager's name and a vague time of when he would be back. The evasiveness with this information was extremely unprofessional and made me feel as if I was being brushed off. Information like this should be provided freely to any customer who asks and shouldn't have to be pried out of a PF employee. In a normal pre-2020 world, this cancellation rule is an unfair policy, but it's especially greedy in the new landscape COVID-19 has created to make it difficult for your customers to cancel or choose to eat the monthly fee to avoid going in public, while money still goes into your pockets. Not to mention the absolute disadvantage this puts on people who need to cancel but have no access to transportation due to losing a job or who may be immunocompromised and can't risk going out in public just to cancel. The gym is clean. Staffs are helpful and friendly. It's a heaven for cardio folks. I've never seen too many treadmills at 1 place like this before. Seriously, they have like 50 of them. This gym focuses on full body training. That means you can find the equipment for triceps and biceps at the same place with the machines for chest, back and stuffs. Not so cool for people who want to focus on 1 group of muscles/ a section. Literally, you will need to walk half a gym to find a machine for lower chest after you finish with your upper chest. Also, they don't really have squat rack or deadlift racks here. $58 penalty if you cancel your membership within the first 12 months is pain in the a** also. read more
