BTW, they gouge you with a "30-day cancellation" so even though I had paused my membership (which costs $15/month) I still have to pay for a full month I won't use. I loved the workouts and the gym in the beginning. But like most workouts (barre, CrossFit), this trend is over and a new one begins. I would never have left if the owner treated his people and his investment better.

With little gym training, I had to search for a personal trainer and fast! I found Burntown Fitness! Personal trainers Kisar and Traci have the expertise and patience to get you through your challenge, whatever that may be. In less than 3 months, I successfully completed the physical ability test exceeding minimum qualifications, and was able to be tested remotely at their facility. I was looking for a gym that was close to my house, and that had early morning sessions to fit my schedule. What I didn't expect is an amazing facility, with a fantastic training staff, an owner who cares about every single one of his clients on a personal level, and a clientele with that get-it-done attitude to keep me motivated. I am the kind of person that needs a trainer to tell me what to do, to push my limits, and take an interest in my health and fitness goals. I feel like Kisar (the owner) is always trying to improve the classes by bringing in new and fresh ideas to the table, which is great, considering I really enjoy challenges. And if you work out with him, be prepared to get REKT. That guy pushes you to your limits, every time!! Burntown also has nutrition programs to help you kick start your journey. And the trainers... can't be spoken about highly enough. Each one is FANTASTIC and adds their own flavor and style to their classes (s/o to Emily who has a booming/motivating voice, who takes time to correct my form and lets me know if something looks to easy for me). I love a gym that takes time to learn about each members goals, and help them achieve them. And I love a great community that supports one another, and you get that here with Burntown!

I've been a member for around 3 years and for the monthly fee they charge i think they're a great deal, you'll pay considerably more at Snap! Fitness. I've never joined AP's classes so I cant commnet on them, but otherwise this is a very clean & well maintained gym. Though not as big or equipped with quite as much gear as the the larger gyms like 24 hour or Ballys, there is ample cardio and weight lifting machines and free weights to get you through any type of workout. I go every day and do both weights and cardio so I'm well familiar with this gyms offerings. Also nice is that members can use the gym 24/7 with a pass card they give. Nice to be able to workout at 4am if you so desire, or any other time. It allows you to workout on your own schedule, a big help to me.

I was in the Vancouver area for business and had just finished up a customer visit in the Kalama area. I needed a good workout and wanted to get an early workout in as my body was suffering from a long drive from Albany OR to Kalama WA. I picked the right place as it was not too far off from the highway and they had early classes. I was greeted warmly by the staff and had the Owner/Coach Brittany Sarkela coaching the WOD that afternoon. This Box has state of the art equipment, and tons of barbells, kettlebells, assault bikes and other necessary Crossfit equipment. This was one tough WOD that day and I trudged my way through it. The Coach was kind enough to invite me to lift after class but I was already curled up in a big sweaty ball on the mats trying to catch my breath, so I politely declined lol. They have a thriving Crossfit community in Vancouver and its places like Crossfit Untamed that make this happen. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you drop into this box. Need more incentive? Not only will the members challenge you to keep up, but there is also a Craft Brewery and food trucks right next door to Crossfit Untamed.

Since Planet Fitness first opened in 1992, they have built a reputation for being clean,…read moreaffordable, and welcoming, but the Vancouver Orchards location really stands out from the rest. On entry, everything was clean and beautiful. The Black Card lounge is awesome, and the way they have everything set up feels unique compared to other locations I have visited. The treadmills and running equipment all look brand new, modern, and high end. They even have equipment and recovery machines I have never seen before, including this cryo chair that honestly looks futuristic and cool as hell. The whole gym has a modern feel to it. Everything is neat, organized, and easy to navigate. The bathrooms were spotless, which says a lot about how well this place is maintained. I am already a Planet Fitness member, and one of the things I love most is being able to go to locations all over, but this Vancouver location really pops compared to others I have been to. If you are in Vancouver or around Orchards, definitely come check this place out. It is modern, clean, well designed, and easily one of the nicest Planet Fitness locations I have visited.

I'm not really rating Cascade AC on the whole in this review but rather their policy or lack…read morethereof. I enjoy swimming and Cascade has the best pool in the area so participation here is a matter of limited selection. My problem is the lack of policy/signs/refereeing something that keeps inconsiderate lane swimmers in line. Cascade has no posted policy or signs that direct how people should behave when there are others waiting for a lane. Since there are numerous older adults that seem to have developed blindness because they don't 'see' people waiting nor do they ask anyone. Instead, they see someone getting out of the pool and head directly to the lane that just opened up simply not caring that others are waiting. Most people seem to want to avoid conflict so nothing gets said empowering those who are already feel privileged enough to just jump in. Then there's me. I will say something and I might not be nice about it because your rudeness put you in my path. So, lane cutters if you can't turn to those waiting and ask then expect to get called out or for me to jump in 'your' lane. I simply won't stand for your rude behavior or whatever excuse you have for being like you are. As for Cascade - this on you. You have no policy, no guidance and no monitoring leaving us adults to police themselves. Fortunately, most do an exceptional job of policing themselves and have decency and courtesy. However, there are some that don't possess decency and probably have limited self-control when confronted about their behavior that could lead to an altercation between parties. If this were to happen to me you can bet that I would seeing you in court... And, while you are pondering this matter please scrub the pool! It's filthy. The walls and floor of the pool are coated in brown slime that cause slip when trying to push off. P.S. this also applies to those that are in a lane and invite someone that just shows up to join them instead of the next person in line as it should be. The studio is very inclusive and incredibly welcoming from the staff to the other students. As someone who is plus sized, has hyper-mobility, and felt intimidated by exercise (and honestly hated it before I discovered Barre as a whole), this has been an amazing workout with a variety of classes (love the cardio, mindful flow, and signature classes the most!) that are fun, keep my interest, and have a really good schedule that has worked well for me. The live streams they have are incredibly helpful for when I can't get into the studio, but still want to get a workout in at home. For those with kiddos, they offer some childcare for during classes Monday through Friday too. The studio space itself has two showers available, though I have not used them myself, and has always been very tidy and bright. Currently, I am 60 classes in and I have had classes with several instructors and they have all been amazing: Emily (cardio, strength, and signature) Lori (strength signature, and mindful flow}, Jennifer (signature), Ashley for (signature and mindful flow), and Suzie (strength and signature) are the instructors who I have had the most classes with, but I have had classes with Marcella (strength, mindful flow, and signature), Holly (strength and signature), Heather (signature), Genny (signature), Lynne (signature) and Alison (signature). The classes are fun, great workouts and modifications are always given which is beyond helpful. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the instructors. While all barre3 classes are phenomenal workouts, the team at the Camas studio makes the classes a notch above everyone else. Each instructor is so knowledgeable about the reasons behind the postures and what muscle groups they target but they also are able to offer several modifications depending on how individual bodies may react. The team also really makes the studio feel like a community. I don't feel like I'm just going to the gym, I feel like I'm going to work out with friends. Tiffany has really built something special at barre3 Camas and I will definitely be a lifelong member of the community.
