I really like Planet Fitness In the foothills the employes are friendly and keep the place clean and well stocked with paper towels and cleaner, the only thing i don't like is the employees park in spaces close to the front of PF that should only be used by customers. I have the black card because I travel frequently for work and this is hands down the worst Planet Fitness I have ever been to. I've had a membership to Planet for years, always keep to myself, and have never been approached or hassled by any staff member for any reason EVER. I've never had a problem with any Planet Fitness until coming to this location. I've only been a handful of times but every single time I've gone I have been harassed or treated rudely by an employee. Once I checked out equipment at the front desk only to be interrupted and reprimanded by an employee on the floor DURING my workout. He said they usually only allow equipment to be borrowed in exchange for collateral, which I had never heard of first of all, but then why even let me check it out in the first place? Then you're gonna wait until I start my workout to tell me? Also, I've taken advantage of the amenities I pay for every time I've gone, and every employee that has "assisted" me makes it seem like it's such a hassle for them and I am somehow inconveniencing them to do their job. I have never paid for a membership that has made me feel more out of place and like I don't belong. If you don't like the pay and are unwilling to do the bare minimum of what your job requires of you, then quit. Don't be rude to the people that pay to go there just because you're unhappy. It's going on 3 weeks of closure. They took out my dues plus yearly dues. I can't afford going all the way out to the foothills 5 days of workout. Gas is expensive. I would like to cancel my membership and get my yearly dues back. I don't hear of any updates of reopening. I enjoy going to PF in town that's why I chose to join. Clean gym, polite staff, plenty of equipment, and never experienced any issues with overcrowding (looking at you 4th avenue). If you've been to a planet fitness before then you know what type of equipment to expect. It's got everything you need if you're not super picky. Showers, red light machines, tanning beds, massage chairs, and hydro massage beds. Don't get trapped into their crazy contracts! If you're going to move cities, make sure you cancel! Otherwise they'll try to force you to send a letter in the mail to cancel as if it's 1937. Very obvious that it's intentionally done this way so they can keep pulling money from you. read more

Nice gym quiet and clean. Great staff everyone working there is very kind and helpful. I was only in Yuma temporarily. After I left Albert helped me cancel my account I made on accident he went as far as contacting billing to figure out why there was a remaining charge. I look forward to going back to that gym when I am in Yuma for an extended period of time. read more

I have used hundreds of gyms over the past 50 years. This gym is, hand down, one of the cleanest I've be to. It get 100% on the white glove test. And the staff is super friendly! read more

It's a new location that recently opened. The equipment is all new and the free weight plates have that new rubber smell. Not too many folks there today and I'm assuming that it'll be that way for a while. 4 Smith machines and 1 linear leg press machine, as it seems to be the standard. There's a nice area for floor work near the ab machines. I've never really looked for these machines, but there were couple of different looking machines. See photos. Pretty cool. I've seen them in rehab facilities. There are 3 shower stalls in the men's locker room and the hot water is really hot. Not sure how long the paucity of members will last, so get in there and work out with almost no wait for any machines! read more

Hands down the most customer abusive business I've ever dealt with. They FORCE you to provide your banking info so they can steal from you when you try to cancel. I bought a black card membership when traveling around the US. EVERY location I went to had NO HOT WATER, no ADA handicapped showers, no clean environment, nothing but excuses. Plantet Fitness should be put out of business. I tried to cancel today and they informed me that they will auto debit one more month of charges since I cancelled after the 10th?! They claim you can cancel anytime but be sure it's a lie. I am on the phone with my bank to block payments and they informed me that there are constant complaints against PF. Been a member since 2014, just canceled. The club manager at the Fortuna Road location in the Foothills, called the Yuma police department on a disabled veteran, for parking in a handicapped space, knowing the owner was legally parked and as was discussed with an associate the week prior 09/14/22. The placard was on the dashboard centered between the driver's side and the passenger's. Instead of talking to the owner of the vehicle, like the associate did a week earlier, the Club manager decided to call the Yuma police department; who dismissed everything, because the vehicle was not illegally parked, and had a handicap permit to park in said space. If I could give this Planet Fitness 0 stars I would. I have been going to this gym for 3 months, and the issues got progressively worse that I had to cancel my membership. The managers are sticklers for each and every rule and they will interrupt your workouts to make you comply. Instead of politely asking you to keep that specific rule in mind for next time, they harass you and then they go with their employees and make fun of customers. Then I noticed the bathrooms weren't being properly cleaned and I mentioned it to an employee, and she started laughing in my face and then argued with me that she cleans the bathrooms "every night". For a gym it should be cleaned every shift not once a night. They also don't vacuum the floor in the stretching area and it's disgusting. read more

A lot of members sitting @ the weight machines for an extended amount of time because they prefer to workout with their phones instead of the weights ...One member sat on a leg machine for close to 15 minutes ... But to be fair I believe there are two identical sets of all the weight machines in the gym plus one 30-minute area where you are suppose to work out faster wink wink ... read more
