The store had a social distance sign up front, but the staff wasn't enforcing it whatsoever. The majority of the staff at this location were wearing their masks off hanging on their ear/ not wearing masks at all. If you're going to act like you care about a pandemic, follow through. It was so frustrating seeing the lack of care the staff had for both their customers and the people they interact with outside of the store. I will not attempt to visit this location again. All of the customers packed inside this location were wearing masks. I came in on September 18th a apx 8:30pm before leaving. The only person on staff that was wearing a mask was a man behind the counter. It's so frustrating seeing a planet k with this type of behavior. Y'all, just do better. read more

Way to sell broken products after you "test" in store to make sure it works. Never going back.

Let me start off saying I love planet k, and I usually go to the new Braunfels/ pat Booker locations. The San Marcos location is AWFUL. Not comparable in anyway, some of the staff are friendly and helpful but this store has poor management(the blue haired lady. Yes you. Learn not to swear at everyone who works for you and to not throw and slam shit). Save yourself the trouble and hit up one of the college towns many other head shops. Typically reviews are only written after 1 of 2 scenarios, really good or really bad. I'll go ahead and say my first experience at a Planet K was phenomenal. Although this shop was said to be the smallest location, it's got the biggest personality. They have utilized their shop space well and I wasn't confused on finding anything whatsoever. As a glass enthusiast, I noticed they had quite an array of quality pieces to choose from as well. However, the best part about the entire place was the staff. They were knowledgeable, well-spoken, and eager to help to say the least. I originally only went in with my friend for a pack of RAW cones, but took interest in the CBD dog treats they had available because my friends pup tends to be a bit high strung in the night hours. The staff members were VERY informative and helped us choose the right treats for our furry friend, of course they were eaten in one swift chomp once we got back home. If I could give you guys 10 stars I would, keep up the great work! read more

the three times i've been in there, the customer service is trash. I call on the phone after a product stopped working after two days for absolutely no reason and told them I threw away the receipt and they said I could still go ahead and come in for exchange. I go out of my way to come in and do that exchange and they tell me I can not? Trash. sure it's $20 but that's $20 I could use for bills and shit, not products that will only work for two days. Horrible place. Me & 3 others was just browsing the nice lil setup they had there since we were new to the place. The employees did not bother to offer any assistance & just stared us down like we were going to steal something. They eventually stopped staring & started yapping at us saying "you either buy something or don't. This ain't no library" & they laughed afterwards. I came into this shop while I was visiting from out of town and was blown away by Christina. She was so sweet, helpful and knowledgable. I told her what I was looking for and she offered me plenty of options plus showed me some different things that I had never seen before. I went with one of my standards and took her up on one of her suggestions, which could not have been better! I will definitely visit here again when I'm in the area. read more

This is really the worst planet k. The manager Erin ( I asked her name) is so rude. I was trying to find a part to my waterpipe but didnt see the case it was in. this black guy made a rude remark its right there you cant see it? like i was stupid or something for not seeing where it was. Then the girl rolled her eyes at me making me feel even worse. She was very short at check out and didnt offer to bag my item. I love all the planet k's that I have been in but this one is bad also any other planet k gives u a 2.00 gift such as a drink or blunt wraps but this one only gives you a lighter or papers. I have been here several times since I moved here from Pennsylvania, and it was an okay experience. I have been to some head shops that were worse but honestly after visiting "Austin vape and smoke" I can't say this was my favorite. The employees are friendly but not very informative. They tend to only know what is posted on the product and what they have heard. Not very genuine when it comes to in depth information. I don't mean to be negative, like I said I have been to worse. But I would strongly recommend "Austin vape and smoke" for anyone looking for quality Kratom or CBD. Great variety of product, I will give them that. Just personally not my favorite. The prices are pretty high for the quality. By quality I mean specifically the CBD syrup I bought for a hefty price was giving me consistent headaches. And the Kratom was overpriced for its lack of effects. I might return, but I will always go to "Austin vape and smoke" first from now on. Also one good thing an employee told me about is if you go to "planetktexas.com" and fill out the survey you will receive a 15% off coupon that you can show them every time you buy something. Way too overpriced!!! I went in to buy some hemp wick and for the smallest size, they charged me nearly six bucks! Oat Willie's in Austin calls this size the sample size and gives it away for FREE. And the other shops around San Marcos, like Gotta Habit, only charged like a dollar. Forget Planet K- they're just trying to take advantage of college kids. read more

I went into Planet K on Saturday night, March 1, 2014, where a very helpful employee assisted me with my detoxification needs efficiently. This employee told me that if I had any questions or if I needed more detoxification products, to come back in. Today, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, I went back in for more detoxification products where the employee, Greg, blatantly baited me in order to "not be able to sell" the specific products I was in need of. He asked "Is this for a test?" to which I honestly replied, and he stated that the detoxification products were for "personal use only." When I called to file a formal complaint against him with the company by contacting the headquarters at (512) 832-8544, the woman on the phone said that she would call me back within 20 minutes to get more information from me regarding the specifics of the complaint. After 30 minutes had passed, I called them back where I was told that my complaint had already been filed along with "What else do you want us to do?". I do not see how it could have been filed being that the only information she received from me was my name, phone number, and very vague description of what happened. I then informed them that I would be filing a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau. Five minutes later, I received a call back from the same man I spoke to the second time saying that he "spoke with Greg about the situation and that [I] had informed Greg of the detoxification being for a test." I then proceeded to state the specifics of what happened but the man on the phone was talking over me. I asked him as politely as I could to not talk over me when he hasn't even received my side of the story yet to which he responded "You interrupted me." He then proceeded to smooth things over by "working out a deal" for the specific products I needed, however, it was too late by that time, and I decided to file a formal complaint with the BBB due to their failure to meet my needs as a customer in the store, and their headquarter's failure to provide unbiased customer service. read more
