Bought a new Goldwing couple of weeks ago from Mike Everything went as expected. Every person that we dealt with was exceptional. Definitely recommend this company due to the staff in place. Nowadays we live in a different world and most are over worked and over stressed. What I seen was the opposite, the crew at Planet Powersports was top notch. Made a deal with them 7/23 for a used KLR650- they were selling a bike with a bald rear tire and a front tire that is 13-14 years old - both original tires from 2009 (RMA says 6-8 years max for tire age). I told them that I wouldn't accept a bike that had unsafe tires and they agreed to replace the tires and that they had to order tires. They estimated that this would take a week and that I'd be able to pick up the bike on 7/29 or 7/30. Three weeks later, they have my $2000 deposit and still no bike and they called me on 8/9 saying the front tire was going to be $50 more for an alternate - the stock tire is on backorder. I agreed but only because I want the bike, but I told them they had 48 hours to get it done (8/11) and that was the deadline, no more delays or excuses. (More than enough time, they can get a tire in hours, and they could have offered me this alternative any time in the 20+ days they sat on this.) Planet Powersports contacted me yesterday (8/11) to say that it did not look like they'd have it for this Friday 8/12. I told them they had 24 hours to get the bike ready and get both tires mounted and call me or it's off and I'm getting my deposit back. I have now rented and canceled a trailer to pick up this bike 4 times and I don't get the sense they really want to sell me this bike at all. They just want to borrow my money without interest for a few weeks and then sell it to some sucker who will take it with the worn-out and aged tires. read more

We call planet to see if they sold CFMoto quads. I spoke to Cesar and he said they didn't have any but he carried the Polaris which had power steering. Power steering is what my dad was looking for since he's 76 years old and it's hard for him to steer without it. Price was also a big factor and he was looking at the CFMoto because he had a quote of $7200 out the door for a 500. Cesar said he could get him in a Polaris 450 for the same ballpark price if he'd come in and take a look at it. My dad drove an hour each way to go there only to find out it was a complete lie just to get him inside their store in hopes to make a much higher sale. After working some numbers and getting the "best deal" Cesar could get, he came back with a price of $12,000. It was almost double the price for a smaller machine, which isn't the same ballpark price in my opinion. Cesar is a snake oil salesman and planet motorsports isn't any better if they train their salesman to operate this way. They knowingly tried to take advantage of a 76 year old man from the first phone call. Avoid this place and cesar like the plague read more

When I called they said they had a ranger and arctic cat prowler so I drove up immediately.When I got there they said they didn't have the ranger. Purchased a used Arctic Cat Prowler. I get that it was "as is", but they sold me tires with rims and said they will fit. Put them on before I picked it up. Got it home and would not track well. Tie rods so far out of alignment tires were pointing out. Called dealership and told them it wouldn't track, also wouldn't got into low gear, and couldn't turn sharp. Told to contact the shop because salesman didn't know anything about them. I now know why there was an issue. The tires and rims they sold as "would fit fine" don't fit. Rims are too big so tie rod ends hit the inside of the rim preventing the wheel from being turned sharp. Shift linkage was in the wrong position because someone changed the shift cable and didn't put things together correctly. Emergency brake wouldn't hold because someone wrapped the cable around a bolt to hold it in place long enough to get it out of there. Learned a valuable lesson, don't shop Planet Powersports, EVER!!!!! read more

Just bought a used Indian Roadmaster from Planet Powersport in Coldwater Michigan. We drove over 100 miles to get there, hoping to complete the purchase and drive it home, if it checked out as good as it looked. Well, it checked out and with the help of several employees, we bought the bike, helmets, jackets, gloves, cell phone holder and GPS security system. They got it all done, including installing the GPS and resolving a few minor problems we found after the sale was complete. Technically, I had already bought it "as is", but they keep working on it until we were completely happy, adjusting mirrors, etc. From arrival to on the road back home with our new bike took less than four hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that they are not closer to where we live, as they had great prices and service compared to the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. read more

My brother and I visited P/P today and were mortified by the way we were treated. We simply came in to get a simple price match on two atvs. What should have been an easy process turned into a nightmare. The manager Sean was called in to authorize a deal and he couldn't even do basic math! I'm sure he was embarrassed and when called on it; he resorted to calling the written sales agreement "fictitious". I had some strong words for this young man and we quickly walked out. If you want to visit a place that has stereotypical "underhanded" salespeople you have undoubtedly found Plant Powersports! For your information Kyle was an excellent associate. Planet told me they would sale my motorcycle for me for a 10% commission. When I brough it in for them to sale it they decided they didn't want to sale it for a commission, instead they wanted to buy it from me (bait and switch). They told me they hoped to get $3,500 for the bike. I agreed to sale it to them for $2,500 (much less than it was worth) because I was moving out of state and in a difficult position. They immediately listed the bike for $4,875, almost twice what they paid me for it and $1,375 more than they told me they would sale it for. I never would have sold it to them for $2,500 if I had known they were going to list it for $4,875. I feel lied to, cheated , and taken advantage of. What they did to me was driven by plain and simple greed. I don't understand why they would treat a customer in a way they wouldn't want to be treated if they were the customer. They do the typical bait and switch on pwc's, advertise one price then when you get the quote add on shipping, set up, tax fire extinguisher, cover, blah blah, blah. 8 grand turns into 11. Their parts area is literally the worst run I've ever been too. Parts and service lines are separate. If you want a simple part, in my case a motorcycle battery, and there is anyone in front of you, grab a chair. There is another guy on the service side, a half dozen guys will walk in and out of the office but none will lift a finger to help you out. Don't bother calling to see if they have a part they won't call back. Seriously a poorly run operation, go somewhere where the customer matters! read more

From the moment I first walked into that place to present day I have not been treated badly by anyone at the dealership. They are courteous, they follow through and they are very reasonably priced. I live over 2 1/2 hours away and have 4 or more closer dealers. And I have a Polaris dealer 20 miles from my doorstep I purposefully drive 2 1/2 hrs to do business with planet power sports. read more

My fault I purchased a 2016 Honda ranch 420FM from them without researching other dealers prices and I paid 2k over other dealers prices. There was a big blemish in the camo plastic that they knew about so I transported it all of the way back to them to send pics of it to Honda then they called and stated that paper work on it was incorrect so I drove over to resign them. I purchased the ATV on 1/15/16 I still have heard nothing back about the blemish nor have I received my title that they said I'd receive within 15 days wont never walking in there doors again. read more
