There was no pressure to buy just answers to questions I had. Before I bought the car there were a couple of concerns I had and they were fixed immediately. My husband had had a stroke and was not able to be a part of the process. We had been to several other used car dealerships that tried to take advantage of the fact that it was my first time buying a car on my own but Jason took his time and let me go at my own pace. My son purchased…read morea 2017 Ford Escape for 13000 dollars with a Level 3 warranty that cost an additional 2600 dollars. 8 months later the car had to be towed to the dealership for the entire dashboard being lit up in red telling him to turn the car off immediately. It was a coolant sensor which cost $466.00 to repair with the additional extended warranty, so he paid it. A month later the check engine light came on again so he bought a code scanner and found out it was a misfire in cylinder 1 so he took it back to their service department to be fixed but the service rep listened to the engine running and told him it could be the spark plug and the coil pack. He told him it would cost a lot more for West Point to fix it and it would be cheaper to fix himself. So he did. A month later the check engine light came on again. He finally had to take it in to their service department to look at because the car would not accelerate on the highway. They told us it would be 2 weeks before they could even look at it, so he left it hoping they would look at it sooner if someone cancelled. Surprise. We had to call them after 3 weeks to find out what was wrong with the car. My son was told the head gasket was a bust and it would be too much time to repair and they couldn't get parts for 2 months. The best option was to replace it with a used engine that had 78,000 miles on it for 7100 dollars. They handed me an invoice for 10,644 dollars in order to repair the car, but said that wasn't the cost! We confronted Jason about selling stripped down warranties where important boxes on page 4 were not checked and he said that would have been a surcharge. We never even saw those boxes at the time of sale nor did we have the surcharge option. I asked the service department to produce denial paperwork for the repairs and I asked the warranty company to produce denial paperwork. I still haven't gotten it and that was more than 2 weeks ago. In a nut shell, they sold us a car they knew had these issues because there is literally a class action law suit brought against Ford for this very problem and probably used a sealant like KSeal to hide the problem for a while, sold us a stripped down DOWC (which stands for dealer owned warranty company) and then basically told us there was nothing they could do about it and pretty much they didn't care. In addition their service department guy wanted to assault my fiancé in the parking lot and then called the police on us. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted and a complaint has been filed along with a complaint to the Michigan department of the Attorney General. I have noticed they always have a great selection of good looking cars outside so I was excited to finally be in the market to take a serious look. They made sure to let me know that if they didn't have what I was looking for , then they could get it - but I was glad to find something on the lot that fit all my needs and at a very reasonable price. I purchased a woodchipper that was sold by a Ken Joswiak - a manager at this dealership. I met up…read morein the dealership lot to do the exchange and the woodchipper came with keys that had this dealership's logo. The woodchipper had a faulty carburetor that leaked fuel both inside and outside the engine. THIS IS AN EXTREME FIRE HAZARD THAT CAN ENDANGER HUMAN LIFE. Ken did not tell me about this and assured me that "6 mechanics looked it over". I called Ken asking for $200 back so I can fix this extreme hazard but he refused any attempt to improve the situation. This was a bad experience and I would recommend going to this dealership. They are willing to hide a fire hazard for a few hundred bucks.

Couldn't provide zero stars!!! My son purchased his first time vehicles here on June 25, 2022 to…read moreonly have the transmission start acting up August 19th. He assumed it was due to it needing a oil change which I told him it should not due to only having the car a total of 49 days and only being driven too and from work!!! He took it anyway and had the oil changed. It still was running kind of rough after the oil change. On August 30th; it started not shifting out of first gear. He contacted AutoMaxx and spoke to a Sales Rep. who explained that he did purchase the warranty and to take the car to have looked at. He took the car to have looked at and they advised it was the transmission (transmission solenoid failure) and would need to take to a transmission shop. It was replaced under warranty. April 2023; 10 months from purchase date the car started driving weird again. He took it back to the shop and was told his engine and water pump was going out. Still under warranty; they assumed he had not been getting regular oil changes or performing scheduled maintenance. He was able to provide all receipts showing maintenance was done each time prior to when the oil changes were needed; luckily for my son they approved and both were covered under the warranty. Within 10 months the car has had a rebuilt transmission, water pump and new engine. Yes; he should have taken the car for someone to look at or someone with him to test drive prior to purchase and thank God he purchased the warranty, but I thought cars had to be inspected prior to the dealer buying and selling to someone? Be careful young adults when purchasing your first car. The amount they sold this older car for was a total rip off with an extremely high interest rate. Please do research!! This vehicle should have never been up for sale!! But... one a more blessed note he does have a brand new car pre-say...
