It felt like a place where you could slow down for a few minutes instead of grabbing something and rushing back out the door. One thing I like about this smoothie is that it's easy to customize. After having it before, I've found that ordering it with light banana and no agave makes it taste lighter and lets the mango come through more. My mom had also ordered an iced tea that still hadn't arrived when the rest of our food and drink had arrived so she canceled it. They sourced a lot of their food from local purveyors, and you can really tell it in the flavor of everything. The sausage was some of the best I've had. Because of all the hiccups, the manager came over and profusely, apologized and even comped part of our meal to make up for the issues. One thing I really like is how the drinks are all named after cities in Prince George's County. It's a small detail, but it shows his pride in the community and how intentional he is about putting PG County on the map. What I respect even more is how he gives back. He mentors young men in the community and has even hired some of his former students. I love seeing a business owner who isn't just running a successful spot, but also pouring back into the community in meaningful ways.
