We were walking around Oldtown looking for a quick bite and a coffee and saw Toastique, it was just what we were looking for. I love a restaurant that specializes and doesn't try to do too much. Toastique has a regular and seasonal selection of toasts, smoothies and bowls and coffees...perfect amount of options without overwhelming diners or venturing into too many categories. Counter service with self serve regular coffee or you can order a speciality coffee. We ordered the burrata toast with crab and a smoked salmon toast. Each toast is served on either sourdough, multigrain or rustic bread or you can choose. Beautifully presented on a board with their "gold" service set, although it was almost too pretty to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love a casual place that offers a quick meal with an elevated experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy we stumbled upon it and will return!

I love that they gave me a samples of the fresh juices because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. The staff has always been really nice and patient at the store and all of the ingredients are incredibly fresh. The young lady that took our order said I wasn't allowed to leave a tip with my credit card because they aren't allowed to keep tips and didn't have a tip jar either. Only tips handed to them were they allowed to keep. Not sure if that's a company policy but if so needs to change. Otherwise a great alternative to a big sit down breakfast. Oh and their smoothies are pretty darn good as well.

I got the avocado smash toast with a hard boiled egg on top. The egg was sliced and placed on top of the other items. The toast was great. However, because the egg was sliced on top the toppings were sliding everywhere as I was trying to eat the toast. It made for a messy eating experience. However, that didn't take away from the flavor!
So I did not believe that a piece of toast would fill me . I stay humbled and wrong. I got the peach , prosciutto toast. This had burrata, flake salt, arugula, hot honey and balsamic glaze. This was packed with flavor and the peach smoothie I had with it on this hot day was saving my life while making me feel healthy for the doughnuts I will be devouring later lol . [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was just as beautiful as the venue with very prompt and polite service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They are all blended with fruits and veggies. I've tried almost all of them and the metabolize is my favorite. Another items that's enchanting, and after several weeks later I'm still think about it, is that avocado toast. Basic, I know. I mentioned that but LOOK! It is as delicious as it is gorgeous. I had coffee here. Regular shhmegular." Volcán coffee a few blocks down is better for coffee. Don't slip the avocado toast tho!
I popped into this place and I immediately felt revived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is clean, fresh vibes with hip music playing in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The have a variety of juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and açaí bowls to choose from. I tried the Matcha bowl with spinach base, topped with fresh dates, granola, honey, strawberry, pineapple, cacoa nibs, etc... it was delicious. I would love to try other bowls and sandwiches. Service was quick & with a smile. Highly recommend

A restaurant devoted to gourmet breakfast toasts? Hell yeah! But who are we kidding. Toast isn't just for breakfast anymore. Which is why I was more than happy to pop in for lunch toast while on a recent biz trip to the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a tiny little spot, and parking is all but impossible to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But my efforts were richly rewarded with a hearty portion of their tasty tuna toast (served upon a custom wood board of course). It was fresh and tasty, and worth the long wait during the early afternoon rush. I also ordered a latte... which was just meh. But that's probably just the Seattle in me talking. read more

Let me start out by saying, i love really good food! And these days, if you pay a little extra for the extras, it better be worth it. Well Toastique has quickly become one of my favorite spots for breakfast, lunch and an afternoon pick-me-up smoothie. Always fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is fun and inviting, although can be a little loud if you are looking for a quiet breakfast or lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're in the neighborhood and want to try something new, check this place out! read more

This place is so bright and inviting, sorta gives me California vibes. We came here randomly because my husband knows how much I love fancy toast. We got the Tuscan tuna and the smoked salmon. I didn't try my husbands tuna but he said he enjoyed it. Tuna is an unusual choice for him so I was surprised. I'm a smoked salmon girl through and through, so I wasn't surprised that I enjoyed mine. I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and fresh ingredients, capers; cucumber; pickled onions. Delicious toast. We also had the blue mystique smoothie and pb & j bowl. The smoothie was beautiful in color and creamy in taste. The bowl was also good, we would recommend. Can't wait to go back and try something new! read more

If you want healthy, this is the spot to go. I love their Açaí bowls, especially the mango flavor. It's something that I do to treat myself and it never disappoints. The interior of the restaurant is very cute with tons of green plants which fits with its healthy menu and vibe. I ordered the tomato burrata toast which came on a cute cutting board. It was an open face sandwich with really fresh ingredients and the right amount of balsamic glaze for flavor without making the toast soggy or taking away from the other ingredients. I enjoyed the toast thoroughly! It did take longer than I expected to be prepared so if you are looking for a quick bite, take note of this. Also this isn't unique to this establishment but the additional 11% sales tax added to the $14 for the toast and tip really adds up! The place itself is nice, bright and modern. I loved the vibe of the restaurant. The cashier was ADORABLE and everyone was polite. I got the dragonberry smoothie bowl without granola. 9.5/10. It was lovely and refreshing. I added pecans and almond butter to it (from my own stash). I'd get it without the coconut flakes. I got the avocado smash with GF bread, hardboiled egg and lump meat crab. It was my greatest disappointment. The avocado was unseasoned. Even with the chili oil, it wasn't enough flavor. I should've asked if the eggs were cold or warm. I assumed warm and I assumed wrong. I asked the staff if the crab meat was real or imitation before adding it on. They assured me it was real and I assure you (allegedly because I won't be sued ) that it was imitation. You can't fool a Marylander . On top of that, it was very fishy smelling. If it was real lump crab, it was not fresh. Also, not being upfront about imitation vs real may cost someone with celiacs their health. A lot of imitation crab isn't gluten free believe it or not! I assume best intentions that they simply didn't know whether it was real or imitation. So I did what anyone would do in this predicament after spending way too much on avocado toast, I deconstructed it- chucked the $6 crab bits off the top and seasoned the avocado with my trusty Trader Joe's onion salt seasoning (thats how I make my avocado toast pop at home). Their non-dairy selections were *muah* Started our day with fruit & juice. you know the watermelon is "Real" when it has the black seeds we nostalgically grew up with. My partner ordered the avocado smash with crab and a hard boiled egg, while I enjoyed the Tuscan Tuna w/avocado smash! I couldn't believe the tuna or dressings were dairy free, major plus. Very slow service, it took over 30 min to get breakfast! They charged us 2$ for an empty cup. Overpriced - tiny macchiato cup for 4$ had 1/2 cup of content. Avocado smash 14$, smocked salmon for 15$. Unpleasant, slow, and overpriced - highly not recommended. Attempted healthy choice that was not satisfactory. Look at other places around - there is plenty to choose from :) the food was not good. Stopped in here for some breakfast while walking the pup. I was excited for some gourmet toast - but was then immensely disappointed when I couldn't have any due to cross contamination concerns for an allergy I have and the set up of the food assembly station. So I got a smoothie while my husband got the toast. He said the toast looked nice but was just okay and not really worth the cost. The smoothie was fine but sweeter than I prefer. Probably will not return. read more
This is a cute little breakfast spot in Old Town serving elevated breakfast toast, juices, bowls, and a smoothies. I ordered the avocado toast with a poached egg and a smoothie. The presentation of the toast was really pretty! The avocado could have used more salt but this is a personal preference. The superfruit smoothie was tasty and a good choice if you want something on the sweeter side. I do feel as if $15 is a bit much for avocado toast but that's for you to decide :) The inside of the restaurant is small, but cozy and clean. There is metered street parking available. Super beautiful food and an assortment of drinks. I got the avocado smash toast aka avocado, watermelon radish, micro greens and I added an Egg. They ask how you like your eggs which is a nice touch, I got poached egg. It was definitely expensive ...over 15 dollars , for egg avo and toast but the presentation was definitely beautiful. They also have hot tea which is perfect for the colder weather now. It's loose leaf tea in a satchel they make by hand (not premade satchels of tea). There is also a large assortment of smoothies, juices and bowls and you can easily substitute ingredients. I think the quality of ingredients is reflected in its price. For the type of food, it's beautiful and pretty and healthy, but nothing outrageously special or original. Definitely satisfying to eat however! read more

Staying at the hotel next store, we figured we would venture a bit for breakfast. Toastique made sure we didn't get very far! As the name implies, it is all about toast. That being said, they have quite a few options on the menu and also some non-toast grab and go options as well. We did the avocado and salmon toast. The avocado was loaded and did not have that sweet taste I've had with other avocado toasts. The salmon had a fair share of salmon however I would have appreciated a bit more cream cheese. Service is friendly. There appeared to be plenty of seating for our weekend morning bite while allowing for space between diners. And the place was nearly spotless. Overall, worth popping in for a toast imo! read more

Food and juice was great. I had the smoked salmon and it was really good. Service was quick and nice. Only negative comment, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're trying to work/read/study the music is pretty loud. read more
