My recovery after both surgeries was smooth, and the incision scars are minimal. She also has excellent bedside manner and is very attentive to details, which made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the process. Her team at the office is also wonderful. Communication is clear, appointments run smoothly, and the staff is always helpful. The office may not be fancy or full of extra services, but they truly make you feel cared for and listened to. I really appreciate the level of attention and professionalism from Dr. Chou and her entire team. Highly recommended.

Today she called me to reschedule because Dr Chou will be on her vacation during that time, and she gave me the appointment in January 2027, due to insurance policy, i only allow to do annual check up once a year, if Dr can't take me this year, i will loose my benefits of this year. So I asked her can her schedule with Dr before my original appointment, she said I can't because insurance won't cover. So I said it the office fault not the patient fault, then she started lecturing me that Dr deserves a break time, vacation with family blad blad... so I told her I never said Dr can't or not allow to take break or vacation. But also it not fair for the patient too. Then she said only a week different with my original appointment, and that my appointment Pap not important. HOW RUDE IS THAT, who is she thinking and deciding that my health appointment not " IMPORTANT ", if god forbid something happens to me, and the delay of the exam. WHO GONNA TAKE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT. Beside that she had BAD ATTITUDE to talked back to the patient, she was talking same time as me, like try competing with the patient. When I want to talk to someone else, she refused and said no one can talk to me other than her. The original plan was to plan for a natural vaginal delivery, but after 36 hours of labor and seeing my son in distress (and only worsening) on the heart monitor, we made the call to do an emergency C - section. Throughout the entire prenatal appointments and even when I was at the hospital, he was always on top of it. I have so many great things to say about Dr. Edward, and I am writing this review reluctantly because I know his practice is no longer receiving any new patients. This is so unfortunate because this office was truly a God send for my husband and I. He's professional, always available to answer questions, and I felt at ease with his explanations because I know he is always up to date on the latest medical technology and research. He's also just a nice warm person-- someone that makes you feel comfortable. Side Note: I went to high school with Eddie (Dr. Edward) and so I am also friends with his family, and they sweet & focused on family values. From day one, Ms. Elvira heard my cry for help and helped me get approved to be a patient of Dr. Chiang when all other OB-GYNs on the tri-care network were rejecting me and no longer taking new patients. I was nearing 15 weeks of pregnancy and really concerned I wasn't going to find a doctor soon. Ms. Elvira heard my case and immediately went to work to make sure I got an answer same day and thank goodness it was an YES! On my first visit, Dr. Chiang and his staff were professional. They understood my husband was stationed overseas and provided the support I needed for a successful pregnancy. He was honest and expressed concerns of my weight, sugar intake, and overwell physical and mental health when appropriate. Ms. Elvira and Ms. Brenda always greeted me with warmth and peptalks to display support knowing I was doing my best for the health of my baby and myself. I love Dr. Chiang's blunt and no-nonsense care. Especially towards the end of my pregnancy, I ended up with preeclampsia and had to be admitted to the hospital. Needless to say, I never got to leave due to concerns and had to have an emergency c-section. Dr. Chiang was empathetic knowing my husband was not going to arrive in time for the birth of my baby. He also made a visit every day to ensure my post op care was managed properly. I love Dr. Chiang and his staff. I love his humor and sarcasm! I also had a little trouble during my pregnancy and had to call his hotline at 5 a.m. Both times, the doctor answered quickly and gave advice right away. The staff are nice too. They do their jobs well and were very patient when working with our private health insurance. I am generally very shy and get nervous easily in many situations, but I had a great experience with the doctor and his staff. Being pregnant is not easy, but they made it better. Every person has a different experience, and pregnancy can be emotional, but I truly feel that Dr. Chiang and his staff care about patient health.

There was a specific lab/test I needed for my health, and Dr. Yu spent extensive time trying to get it ordered through UCLA. She was familiar with the test from having been in private practice, but went to extra lengths to be sure that I could receive the right test. Never have I had a UCLA doctor call after hours to try to help. My fiancé also met her and we both felt good about care at our first appointment. 5 stars.
