the last time i was here was almost a year ago to get nexplanon. When i came for my appointment everyone was very friendly and helpful, until this one woman (im not sure exactly what she does there) was trying to talk me out of getting nexplanon. she was telling me there are other options available and most people get the nexplanon taken out after a couple months. she told me i would probably be really uncomfortable with it and i probably wouldn't like it, and then told me if i get it taken out early i would not be able to get a new one until 5 years have passed. I've asked my nurse friends who tell me that is not true at all, and overall that she shouldn't have tried to talk me out of it, and i agree. everyone else was nice though, i just had the bad experience with one person. read more

I've been coming here for years always pleasant until 3 months ago. This is a a nightmare so I go here because my dr doesn't like to prescribe prep so came in to do all my panel of test and then I came back they had misplaced my info. Then find out that I was prescribed prep incorrectly says that I should stop immediately after I finished my 3 months worth that my liver test came back elevated. That is insane and they are acting like oh well. read more

I've always come to PP for my birth control and other women's health services but this location has been the best overall so far! Parking: shared parking lot with other businesses such as O'relieys auto shop, etc. For my first visit, I had made an appointment and since it was my first time there I had to fill out the paper work which made my wait a little longer since they were processing everything. I live in El Monte so I switch between this location and the one in Alhambra which is farther for me but honestly I would rather go there. The staff at Alhambra is just better and professional in my opinion. I'm not really one to complain about medical services because I did get the medication I needed quickly but the appointment rubbed me the wrong way. I had my appointment on the phone which I thought was going to be a Zoom call but they never gave me the meeting ID or anything so we just continue on the phone. When she asked me what birth control I was on I couldn't pronounce it correctly it was clear I was having trouble saying it, and then I heard laughing in the background. Whether they're laughing at me or not it's unprofessional to have side conversations while you're diagnosing your patient don't you think? I'll be sticking to the Alhambra location from now on. read more

They kindly answered every single question/doubt I had, and made me feel comfortable and confident about getting the Implant inserted into my arm. I have had it for about a month now, and I am happy with it. This place was seriously amazing, I live about 22 miles away and still think the drive was well worth it! Tip: Bring a jacket!
