They are not professional at all. I took my dogs there to get shots and they got sick shortly afterwards. Come to find out the vaccines they use are expired. They never answer the phone. There has been times were I was there and watched them ignore the phone because they were engaged in a conversation with each other. Like seriously ppl?? They took a culture on my dog charged me $130, never called me to tell results or to give her meds for her condition. I called them left several messages and nothing still. I recently took my sick dog there. I showed up late but they took me in anyways. They walked us both to the back room, as I stepped over nastiness, used syringes, and you name it. They did no lab work and diagnosed him with heart failure with a simple 3 minutes with my dog and a X-ray... They gave me 3 different medicines. After a few days of my poor baby's declining health I took him to a veterinarian clinic in Dade City. It took Planned Pethood 2 hours and 8 different phone calls for them to fax two pieces of papers to this clinic. The last call I made asking for them to fax it once again it was obvious "they forgot". Within 2 seconds of the new vet listening to my dogs heart he noticed it was not his heart at all but his pancreas. He did labs and told me the bad news. The medicine I had been giving my dog from Planned Pethood put him into Renal failure. It was to late and I had to say my last good byes to my best friend. This place takes on more animals then it can handle and in this case it took my poor pets life. I will never be back. Do not take your animal here. You get what you pay for. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Took my dog here for a routine spay. Apparently blood work, e collars and pain meds are optional here. I was told my dog had complications during surgery from being in heat. She had her heat in the beginning of April and I was told to wait 2 months to get her spayed to make sure she was out of heat, they proceeded to tell me dogs can go into heat multiple times a year and we just don't know? False and my vet confirmed dogs only go into heat 1-2 a year. No post op follow up was had, no call to go over "what complications" she had during surgery either. Very unhygienic in this facility I wish I stuck with my gut and didn't go through with having her spayed here. Two weeks later and no call from the surgeon(whom you don't speak to at all) she has an infected incision with pus coming out of her vulva. She is being cared for through Cypress Creek Animal Hospital which I should have gone to in the first place. Do NOT get your pet spayed or neutered here!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The staff is rude and unprofessional. On February 5, 2022 I took my dogs in to Planned Pethood for their vaccinations. You have to pay upfront. The bill didn't add up so I asked about it. I got a belligerent attitude from the woman up front. The bill was off by $75 and I'm a senior. She didn't apologize for the error. There was no acknowledgement of the error. This has happened 2 other times. I paid the bill for service and went back to my car. After an hour and a half they finally, came out to tell me to leave because the power went out. My daughter was with me and noticed the lights were on and said to them "your lights came back on". I followed the employee back in and asked if we could still be seen. I noticed 5 people in the lobby waiting to be seen and 2 other people waiting in their cars. Why only ask me to leave for this bogus reason? There was a woman in back, with black eyebrows and a black ponytail, who asked me to come to the back where she took me to a room, closed the door, got right in my face and proceeded to yell at me and tell me I abused her employee. I didn't even raise my voice to her employee. I was just asking about being overcharged. She then asked me to leave and told the woman upfront to give me back my money and if I didn't leave immediately after, to call the police. People were in the waiting room and heard that. I was humiliated and embarrassed. She treated me like a criminal. I did not deserve the treatment I got from this office. I had every right to question the bill and to question if we were still being seen because of the "electric going out". I personally feel if you go there and question the bill you will be treated like a criminal. I don't want you treated the same way. DON'T GO HERE!! read more

I brought my cat in for what I thought was a UTI. I was short on money and knew Planned Pethood was cheaper. I waited over four hours for her, they charged me over $50 for the visit and antibiotics but they didn't do a sample on my cat to see if it really was a UTI. Two months later my cat, Bella, got very sick very suddenly. I took her to the Zephyrhills Vet Clinic and it turns out she had a failing liver, kidneys, and severe diabetes. I had to put her down the next day. I had no time to cope and Bella was my baby and I've had her for as long as I can remember and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. If they had actually done a urine sample like they were supposed and were paid to do, maybe I would've had more than 15 hours to prepare to lose her. read more

I took my German Shephard to Planned Pethood some months ago with an ear issue this is an issue she has had since I have owned her. Tina gets large amounts of yeast in her ears and troubles her. I clean them almost every other day to keep her ears clean, at first when I brought her to Planned Pethood the staff was great and friendly however one day Tina was bleeding and I called them, I was put on hold after 5 minutes of waiting I put tina in the truck and took her there when I arrived I was still on hold when I went to the counter and when I told the women at the counter what was going on and showed her my phone and that I was STILL on hold with their clinic she said they did not take calls. I was upset but had Tina seen. I am not crazy about the fact they do not let you in with your pet because the anxiety of being at the vet in the first place then they take her and now the separation anxiety makes her nut, however, the Dr seem to be good and subscribe the necessary meds for her ears an antibiotic and ear wash. Fast forward a few months Tina is really having problems with her ears I take her back wait over 2 hours to have her seen by the Dr. and when she comes out the worker tells me the Dr wants me to give her ear wash, I explained I have been using ear wash and I think an antibotic is what is needed because it worked the last time I brought her in and I was told only the earwash. I have to say I was and still am aggrivated with the diagonosis. Fotunatly a lady was in the waiting room and she told me to give Tina yogurt with active culters put it in her food and that should help. I did and It did help. The ear was did nothing and the Dr seems to be different than the one I took her to last time. I could not tell you because I never met the DR this is totally not ok for me so I am moving on to another vet. Planned pethood may be good for spays and neutering but other issues I am not a big fan. I use to donate animal crates and office products to them I will stop doing so. Their policy needs to change they need to let you go in with your pet and they need to listen to the owners of the pets. They do a large number of people every day however I am wondering if quantity is not effecting quality. I am not going back read more

If I could ever say enough I would write a book. Yesterday was the hardest day but Planned Pethood made it so much easier. My mother-in-law's cat's bloodwork did not look good. They were so loving as they suggested to us to go get an ultrasound. They sure do love the animals there and take care of so many families with beloved pets. Reasonable reasonable prices with a whole a lot of love to share. They also took care of my dog Yankee. I appreciate the fact that they only do what they need to do as first steps instead of jumping in with the whole Ocean full of testing. I would recommend you bring your pet here. I was very pleased with the grooming and vet services. This is a nonprofit organization and they try to keep the prices lower then most. I had my dog groomed and had a heart worm test. The facility was clean and the staff was very professional. We come to Florida during the winter months and I plan on using this groomer and veterinary during that time. I am getting all her shots and updates here because the cost is much lower then in Ohio. Their grooming was excellent, I have taken my dog to several other groomers in the area and it took me a long time to get in and I was not satisfied with the results. My dog looked better then when I had used Pet Smart and it was $20.00 less for the same services. I recommend this place to any Pet owner. read more

This was my 3rd time coming to this facility. We usually always came here because we really liked it here. I went the other day to take my baby Ace (which he's super easy to groom) I dropped him off and usually this certain lady would grab him and take him. But this day was different and a lady named FELICIA took my Ace instead. I told her I wanted him to get shaved a little by the back not to do his paws and not to shave to much on his head and tail. So when he was ready to get picked up i was at work and my husband went to go pick him up. When he got him he paid $45 for his grooming. FELICIA quickly handed Ace to my husband, not giving him a summary of how he was or how he did (which they usually do). He called me and told me that he was shaved the lowest he's ever been. Mind you he's a Shih Tzu, they have a lot of hair. He's sent me a picture and when I saw his hair cut I was pretty upset. It wasn't at all what I asked for. When I got home I couldn't wait to see my baby Ace. When I picked him up to give him a kiss he quickly started squealing and crying! When I go to look at what was wrong I noticed he had cut marks, yes cut marks on his throat and chest! I was sooooo angry! I called Planned Pethood. I'm not the type of person that likes to complain, but not being told that my dog had gotten cut from his grooming was what did it for me. I was transferred to FELICIA and politely gave her a brief summary of why I was calling her. When I got to the point of how she butchered my dog, she had the audacity to say that my dog had came in with those marks!!!!! I quickly had to get off the phone with her before my pretty mouth for me in trouble for the way that had enraged me. He DID NOT go in with those cuts FELICIA! We do not have any other dogs or cats in our house FELICIA! We paid $45 for my dog to get sliced in the chest and throat and a BAD hair cut. And on top of the weren't told about it. So I call and then get told that he came like that (basically calling me a liar). If you do go to this place make sure you don't get FELICIA as a groomer. LAST time I go here. The place is loaded with unsuspecting clients, but don't let the large number of people standing in line with their pets fool you into believing this is a professional agency. They charge less for services perhaps, but they do not have the knowledge and care of other licensed veterinarians. Also, they misrepresent costs of medications and overcharge you for them. Try getting a record of shots they administered, and they will not proved these; nor will they provide a prescription for medications - they make you buy the medication from them at much higher prices . I have been . I have been going here for 10+ years. Yes the wait is long! Stop and look around at the people and their pets. This is a LOW COST clinic. If you want fancy and lab coats PLEASE go to a Vet office that has that. Compare the prices to ANY other Vet office. I had the insurance from a LARGE Vet chain. My 14 year old Pom got a very serious issue, my VET from this fancy office. 1told me it was 500.00 to start (with insurance (theirs)and they said she would NOT make it through the surgery (age and weight). They were cold and did NOT even know my name, we had been using them for 10 years for Tink and our Akita. I had to wait until she came out of heat. I took her to Planned Pethood. They explained the risks kindly. Understand price was NOT a issue i would sell my soul for my Tink. Tink is now 18 and I have a very expensive Cavalier King Charles puppy that is now their patient. If you can afford to complain then please GO to your private Vet and make our waiting time shorter. This is a CLINIC and thank GOD for them, as i look around and see people that could not afford the Fancy Dr. but are able to get their pets shots and medical attention that they would NOT be able to get. The staff Is very nice.But had to waited 3hr the 1st time 2nd time waited 4hr.and had to take my baby back a 3rd time all with in 3 weeks. they misdiagnose all three time of what was wrong with the Cat they said he had a infection and we ask them do we need to take the cat to another vet the she said no.im so disgusted after 4Weeks.took him to another Vet today and they told me he never had an infection that Tiger 2 has cancer. so I want to thank you very much Planned Pethood, and your vet techs for misdiagnose him. I had to comment on a prior review about the groomer, Felicia. Felicia has been grooming my boys since she came to Planned Pethood and never have I had an issue. She is professional and treats my boys like her own. I have 3 pomeraninas which are not that easy to groom and each has a different type of coat yet they all come back looking amazing. She has always asked what I'd like done and followed those instructions completely as well as made suggestions she thought would make them look or feel better. She does an amazing job with the baths as well as their shaping and trimming and the boys get so excited to see her. I would highly recommend Felicia and while I know accidents can happen when dogs aren't calm, I don't believe for a minute she cut a dogs neck much less blamed it on some thing else. She's always struck me as a very professional and responsible young woman. To those that have issues with the fact they treat dogs in the back, that is how must wellness clinics work, You don't normally meet the vet as he sees a pet and moves on to the next. These is not a full service vet and you shouldn't be taking emergency cases there and expecting them to be seen asap. If you want to meet your vet and spend time talking with him rather than a technician you should be seeing a regular veterinary for 3 times the cost. That's what full service veterinary clinics are for. I found the staff friendly, professional and very helpful. I've even seen the girls swamped with tons of dogs yet they will stop and say hello to mine or others they recognize. I had read so many great reviews on this place and was looking forward to going to a non-profit vet client to help support them. Upon my arrive the front desk staff was rude and nasty minus one girl. They did not even acknowledge half of the people who walked in or were standing in front of them. I dropped my 4 month old kitten off to be neutered at 8am and they told me pick up time was between 4-430. I get here at 350 and the lady (once again doesn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes) says "I don't think they've done him yet lemme check" (mind you I dropped him off at 8am) she comes back and says it'll be between 30-45 minutes........ I don't understand why they could have not called me much earlier to let me know of this and now I will have to take a kitten home who will have not even been out of surgery but for 30 minutes and hope he's okay. I understand the prices are cheap and they are supposed to be doing this because they love it, but when people are leaving there fur babies in the care of practically strangers you would think they would be a little bit nicer and more caring and better customer service. This is NOT what I wanted to come into after worrying all day about my baby. This place should NOT be over booking surgeries if they can't handle it. They need to worry more and care more about the animals and less about how busy they are and how many people are calling. I'm furious and will NOT be back ever again. read more
