The owner Steve is giving every nail joint in this area some serious competition. Prices are awesome, $25 for a spa pedi & massage chairs are so comfy. I loved adding on a paraffin wax for just $5. Their lotions & exfoliating stuff hit the spot & they have my favorite Essie colors. Oh...and did I mention they have a legit cocktail bar? My frozen peach Bellini was so wonderful! Recently, my neighbors from "Next Door" have been talking about this place and couple other nail salons in the area and it was last minute on my part and the place I usually go to(Crystal Nails on Independence and Legacy next to Angelo and Vito's)was already closed, so I decided to try this place for much needed pedicure. When I got there, I was so surprised that the place was PACKED with clients and jumping and I don't think I've ever seen nail salons as busy as this one on Saturday evening! I was greeted by a man(I think he's the owner, Asian man in his 40's)and he told me to go take the last pedicure chair on the right and someone will be right with me. I sat for about 20 minutes and I saw another elderly client came in and she had someone tend to her shortly after, but I didn't say anything and waited patiently. The owner came by me and again, he said someone would be with me shortly and asked me if I wanted another beer(there was an empty beer can at my chair)and I politely declined. Before I go on, I realized as to why this place was so packed, because he offers FREE alcoholic beverages. I also have to mention that there was some type of drama at the front desk between 1 older man and 1 younger woman who seem to be intoxicated as a result of free alcoholic beverages and other patrons looked disturbed and displeased by the loud argument they were having. Shortly after the drunk patrons had left the premises, the owner came by and he said that the guy comes in at least 3 times a week with different women and he drives Mercedes Benz and he wasn't concerned(about the drama)as long as someone pays for the services(I have an extremely good hearing and very nosey by culture). The owner seems to know most of his clients(they must be regulars)by name and he was very friendly and chatty with them which is very nice. FYI, it's a good gesture by offering free drinks/alcoholic drinks, but if I were the business owner, I wouldn't offer alcoholic beverages due to liability reasons plus, some people can't control their drinking, especially if it's free, but since it's not my establishment and my hard earned $$$ are not at stake, so I really don't care. Anyhow, I was finally able to get someone to do my pedicure after 35 minutes of waiting(it's ok. I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose. I'm not mad.)The young lady(she said her name was Q)who tended to me was very nice and personable. Her work was very meticulous and detailed which impressed the heck out of me. The only thing I wished I had was more pressure on my leg/foot massage. I also decided to get 30 minutes arm/hand/shoulder massage by Amy and it was divine. Amy had great set of strong hands and she, too was very nice and friendly. Btw, they have different level of service in terms of mani/pedi and I chose the one with Pomegranate one for $40. I found it to be very luxurious and maybe, too much/long for my taste. They also offer waxing and facials. Over all, my experience was a good one and I highly recommend it to everyone. read more

I'm skeptical of most nail places for a number of reasons, but the number one reason is that it's boring to me. The number two reason is I typically feel like I'm being taken for a ride on the price (one place I went to for a few years didn't have a menu of services anywhere and they'd charge me a different price every time I went there towards the end!) This place combats both: they have a nice selection of complimentary beer and mixed drinks (and they keep you refilled!) and a nicely-done, easy to read menu of choices. I felt the prices were competitive and the technicians did a great job on my fingernails and toenails. They also weren't chatty, which is a plus to me since I usually go to places like this only every once in awhile and I just want to relax, check email, or completely zone out. My all time favorite place to get my nails done. The people are always super friendly and they always do an exceptionally good job. They offer beverages and they also don't try to have super long conversations (which I appreciate because I'm a horrible small talker). The man who greets us is always smiling and he remembers who we are. My husband and I go together and it's always a pleasant experience. !!!PLEASE READ ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A WOMAN/MAN OF COLOR!!! I have tried this nail salon a total of 3 times. Each time I have left unsatisfied and to be quite honest I'm not sure why it's taken me 3 times to officially not go back but it was the last visit that blew my mind. To my women of color, this is not the place for us here's why. Every time I've gone to this salon they've given me the worst nail techs possible, and I never get anything to extravagant just a pedicure with polish and sometimes I'll add an acrylic tip to each of my big toes. But apparently that's just too hard of a task and it always looks mad ugly. This last time however the man who I believe is the owner named "Steve" is prepping me for my pedicure and when I nicely asked him why he was putting on the acrylic tip before the pedicure he jokingly told me to "stay in my lane he knows how to do his job" okay I laughed a little because it was a joke however what comes out of his mouth next is the reason I will never return to this nail shop, will never recommend this nail shop, and am currently writing a review for this nail shop. He says to me, a black woman, " I don't come in the kitchen and tell you how to cook your soul food" in a mocking AAVE type of tone. Racist as hell. Best pedicure I've ever had! This place is upbeat and relaxing all at once. They even offer cocktails!!! I don't know about you, but it had me at mimosa! In times like these as companies open back up from this global pandemic, seeing the extra mile they go for sanitation is so important. This place is always busy, but I never have to wait. They will seat you immediately and bring your a drink. The drinks are free and the margaritas and the other cocktails are not watered down. The owner is always walking around making sure your glass is never empty, good music is always playing and everyone is friendly. I have used a couple different techs, but neither have disappointed. They do great pedis and are awesome at French Tip. I just tried the Coffin shape for the first time yesterday and am very pleased. The shape is flawless and its smooth. Definitely recommend Plano Nail Bar! They do great waxing, too. They take their time on your eyebrows and make sure they are shaped and trimmed instead of just throwing a strip of wax on and ripping it off and being done. When I came in it Looked quite busy and a little disorganized. They were attending to other customers and no one really told me what to do so I just picked a color and then someone told me to sit at their station while they were doing someone else's nails so I sat down. The nail tech (Vicky) was kind to me at first but then when I showed her the design and she came with a price that was out of my price range even though the design was quite simple i told her I'd rather just get plain nails with a short coffin shape which was $40 she said do you want nude I said yes she didn't show me the nudes so then she just started applying it I said I don't like the color. she got upset told me that this was a color that I wanted and then when I asked to see other colors she begrudgingly got up in search for other colors. When she started putting it on it started burning and I told her I think I might be allergic and she just goes no you're not this happens with everybody but what if I actually was allergic? She completely dismissed all my concerns just splashed my nails with alcohol and told me that it's normal. She was quite rude and I will not be coming back I wish I had a good experience I hope everyone else that works there isn't like her but I definitely wouldn't recommend this place because it was quite dirty and the service was very rude and very short she was not taking her time at all I was probably in and out within 20 minutes and my nails look bad I'm going to go home, paint over her work and see if I can make them look good. If you plan on coming here, do so at your own risk and avoid Vicki at all costs!! read more

I was so excited to try this place as it has great reviews but this was probably the worse pedicure I have ever had. I get my nails done quite often and tried this place out and it has been the worse service I've ever had. Upon arriving I was not greeted and my pedicure was rushed. $40 for a pedicure that took less than 30 mins, hot stone massage was not included in my pedicure which in their menu it says it is included. The paraffin wax was left on for 5 mins most places do 10. I also asked the technician to place a new nail on my toe as I broke it last month moving. However, he insisted I leave my old nail on & I stated that it would not be sanitary and if he could please place a new one. He did a half job on it. I also don't recall him pulling the pedicure tools out of a sanitary pouch. He did not take the time to clean my polish on the edges. After sitting and drying for 15 mins my polish was chipped. I went to a salon I usually go to and when they saw my pedicure they said he obviously did not put a top coat. I will not be returning. read more

I went here tonight around 6:30pm and the guy that did my nails rushed them and they look awful. Which they didn't close till 8 so I don't know why he rushed them. Literally I could of done my own nails better. He made my nails into little nubs and the nexgen is so thick and uneven on my nails. I had black nails before these and he didn't get all the black off so now I see the back in my pink nails and it looks so ugly. Don't waste your money. read more

Went to treat myself for mothers day but I cant stop regretting. I had been recommended by someone else so I tried it. I went for nexgen and top of line pedicure - $100 Nails - they claim they use nexgen but in fact they pyramid powder. They continue to call it nexgen but all the bottles say pyramid. Normally there is a clear base coat of powder used to prevent color bleed, but not at this place. She wasn't going to take off anything but the top layer of the old, and just apply the new. I had to insist that she remove the old product before applying the new. She seemed put out that I made her do it correctly. She used the dremel to cut length off my nails, and didnt notice they werent straight, I had to point out to her. She used the dremel for most of the treatment, and she cut into my nail and my cuticle once each, and left a gouge in my thumb. After she told me it goes 100 miles per hour so dont move, but I didnt move, she just couldnt control the equipment. She did treat my finger with liquid medicine, but still very painful and still bleeding if touched several days later. She left some dips and lumps in finished nails and ridge edges around all sides. Feet - The wax they used looked like a candle and as the wax melted from the flame, they took it out in a spoon and drizzled on my leg, about two teaspoons worth, and then added oil. Not the normal wax treatment at all. I had picked out specific color to match nails, but she used a different color and said she thought it was close enough. At this point I just said ok since I just wanted out of there after every part being so bad. They do provide drinks, wine, margaritas - maybe they are hoping you will be drunk and not notice. Please stay clear of this place! read more
