I think that would best describe my first visit to Lee Valley…read more I've ordered from their website for my Dad a number of times but decided since I was headed to Bayers Lake anyways, that I'd stop in to the store. That was a mistake. I went in on Saturday morning and was completely overwhelmed as I walked in to find at least 100 people wandering around the store. There was no signage to tell me where to go or how to order...so I wandered around for 5 minutes trying to find someone to ask. When I found someone, and told him what I wanted, he did a search on his computer, said he had it, and then told me I'd have to get a number and wait in line to get the product. Wait, what? So I just waited for you to find this on your computer but you can't actually help me at all? Thanks. So I took a number and waited 10 minutes.I was 167, they were on 129 and moving slowly. I was done at that point. I was confused because I didn't understand the sales process, annoyed because there was no one to help me figure it out and frustrated because for all their amazing products there was NO customer service at the store. I'll be going back during non-peak hours to try again but I am not happy about it. Next year I'll order online or find another store. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

They put out the most beautiful catalogs imaginable, too. I agree that having to take numbers and wait for the staff to fetch your items can be a little cumbersome, but you can avoid this by ordering online and picking things up at the store.

One day in early spring I stopped in Atlantic Gardens and found their inventory was much larger, fresher, longer lasting and just as affordable as they are beautiful. The cost are competitive and well worth every penny. The staff and owner are very respectful and knowledgeable and very friendly. They have been known to mislead about the opportunities they offer and have been known to mislead about the positions, opportunities and they are offering during their initial interviewing process, at times intentionally misleading or deceiving potential employees into a belief of job stability which they may not keep their word on e.g. telling prospective employees that they will have a full time full year position with a pay increase after the first four months, then blindsiding these employees by terminating them after the first four months by insisting that they only actually hired said employees as short term seasonal workers.
