After waiting around for an hour and the order placed, they still wouldn't allow the lawful sales tax exemption even after I showed them the documentation from the Bureau of Equalization. reg 1588 states( in part) :" (1) DEFINITION. The term "fertilizer" includes commercial fertilizers, agricultural minerals, and manure. (snip) (2) APPLICATION OF TAX. Tax does not apply to sales of fertilizer to be applied to land (including foliar application) the products of which are to be: (a) used as food for human consumption" (snip)"...... http://www.boe.ca.gov/lawguides/business/current/btlg/vol1/sutr/1588.html THey kept asking me for a tax ID number- there is no such requirement since I am not a business, nor reselling, but am using for personal use on my own land used for food production.... Their eyes glazed over and they just kept repeating it's "policy" and that fertilizer is only partially tax exempt. What part of the following is not understandable? "Tax does not apply to sales of fertilizer to be applied to land (including foliar application) the products of which are to be: (a) used as food for human consumption" I walked out, told them to tear up the order and application. WAlter ANdersen and GRangetto's are much more knowledgeable about fertilizers and are well versed on reg 1588. They will allow tax exemption to those that exert their right to it..

Yesterday, 2 July 2016 we went in and were treated very poorly. When approaching two employees (who were talking with each other) indicating I wanted to ask a question, they told me I would have to wait, they finished their conversation and then walked away. They never returned to assist me. After finding the parts I needed, I took a number to check-out, waited over thirty minutes with two customers ahead of me, only to discover they had a register that didn't require taking a number (there was nothing visible to indicate this was the case). I gave him our account information and he proceeded to overcharge me, significantly, for some basic schedule 80 pvc fitings. After comparing to the identical items at Lowes, it turned out Hydroscape charged me double what the identical part at Lowes would cost (same manufacturer and model number). I expect to return my purchased items to Hydroscape and will not purchase from them again except as a last resort. I never thought I could possibly receive worse customer service then at Home Depot or Lowes, I was wrong.

Absolutely unique and incredible experience. My wife and I started of our wedding anniversary…read morecelebration with an early morning "plant workshop"!!! I was able to make a reservation for the 2 of us several weeks in advance. The entire experience is about 45 minutes to an hour. We walked in and immediately loved the vibe of this place. We were greeted by our host Savannah! She was phenomenal. She knew from our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and she was very personable. Savannah helped us pick out our pot and our plants and then walked us through the entire potting process, giving her tips and tricks through the process. My wife and I both did a larger succulent planter. The pots we picked included 3 to 5 succulent plants that you could pick out. You sit together at the giant dirt bar where you get down and dirty with your plants. If I'm being honest, I never looked at pricing. This was a special date night and we were doing whatever we wanted! But when we went to check out with our new plants, I was pleasantly surprised that the entire experience for the both of us, with beautiful pots, plants and an hour of fun, was only $50 each. It would have been even cheaper had we selected smaller pots. All in all...we loved it. My wife is an avid plant lover so of course she was in her element. But even a guy like me that's never really planted anything...had a great time! Oh, and the bathroom. Even if you don't need to use it, it's a must to check it out! Thank you Momma Pots for helping us kick off our Anniversary Celebration! We will be back again for sure!!!

Found it strange no pots had price tags which was kind of annoying, plus no signage or even an iPad. There was an order lady working and when I asked for prices she had to walk over to get an iPad and search (pretty slowly) for the price. I found them faster by looking on my phone. I did buy some shears that I've been wanting from the shop Pigment, which was my main objective. When I tried to make conversation if about them being sold at Pigment- the lady replied in a snobby tone "yeah we sell to them." No friendly invite to return. Mentioned she just came back from vacation and everything got "moved around" (not that I cared or asked). Anyway, strange experience/customer service and overpriced. Cute to look at, but realistically will not return :(

The best place in City Heights and my favorite San Diego nursery! I can be here all day -- and so…read morecan my pup Enzo. First of all, the place is huge. There's so much to see, so bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfy shoes since the ground can be uneven. You'll encounter steps, slopes, and some dirt paths. The parking lot is small and fills up fast, so I like to get there early, especially if I'm doing a big plant haul. It can be tricky loading plants when you're parked far away. What doesn't this place have? There's an onsite bar and grill that's dog‑friendly, has live music, and serves brunch on weekends. There's also a cute boutique flower/gift shop with curated items perfect for any plant lover. They offer free local classes to help educate the community -- I've taken the shrub class, but they have tons of gardening‑related workshops. They have chickens, birds, turtles, and more. They care for and rescue animals, which is amazing. They sell compost, and they have every plant you can imagine, plus a large selection of seeds, pots, tools, beekeeping supplies, and canning equipment. I love that this is a neighborhood, locally owned nursery that truly gives back. They do so much to educate the community and promote sustainability. Please support them and get your next plant baby here. A perfect place for kids and pups!

The setting is beautiful and a joy to explore. And it's a great spot to check out for all of your gardening needs.

What a gem to find this family owned nursery in the heart of Poway!…read more The nursery is MASSIVE! I could spend hours here looking at all the different plants, trees, and flowers. They have an extensive selection to choose from and if you don't find what you're looking for, they will help you find it. Their prices may be a little higher for some items compared to corporate stores like Home Depot but the quality justifies the price. For some other things, they are actually the lowest price. The nursery is clean and organized with plenty of workers to help assist you with picking something out, answering any questions, or helping you load things into the car. I was in and out within 15 minutes! The parking lot is plentiful so no issues there. For parents of little ones or those who love watching mini trains, they have a huge mini train track set up outside in the back by the bonsai trees. A fun and free entertainment to keep your kids occupied while you shop. We bought an apple tree so hope it's fruitful (crossing fingers)!

Plenty of people working to help load or answer questions. The prices are higher than big box stores, but your not going to find this kind of variety and different sizes at any box stores. I feel that the higher prices are justified based on selection and the customer service
