Last night, we had a girls' night out and discovered a charming spot while dining at the Old Spaghetti Factory and enjoying drinks in San Pedro Square. As we walked back to our car, we came across a shop called "Plant Slut," located on the bottom floor of the parking garage. It was a delightful surprise. Previously, there was another plant shop in that location so not sure if they rebranded, but it had a different name. We were immediately drawn to a funny candle with the F-word on it, and my girlfriend ended up buying 4 candles for us. The sweatshirts were hilarious and perfectly labeled for plant lovers. The shop is adorable but small. The merchandise is reasonably priced for the bay area. Parking is very convenient as it's right there by the shop. You just park, go down to the first floor, and you'll find it facing the colorful walkway that was recently painted, opposite a variety of restaurants in the pedestrian-only street. read more

I was able to come by and checkout this cute plant shop in San Pedro Square today! The local, small business owner Natalie was so nice and super knowledgeable about the plants in her shop. She was very helpful in answering my questions about taking care of some of the plants. She also helped me look up more information about some of her items! Her merchandise is handpicked by her and some are created by her and her friends or by other small businesses and artists! I love that she has a great variety of items and they all are cohesive to her shop aesthetic. I bought a monstera enamel pin and these cute eye magnetic pins. They are super cute and look to be of good quality. The eyes are magnetic so they're actually to decorate your plants with and will not harm them. If I was a better plant mom, I would definitely pick up some. I also do badly wanted to buy some of her seeds since they're for California poppies, sequoia trees, and more! I thought it was such a fun gift for friends and would definitely consider it if my friends had backyards for them. read more

Such a cute and tiny flower shop! It's hidden away under the San Pedro Square parking garage. Very accessible and there's 90 minutes free at the garage. A nice little shop for a photo op in their irregular-shaped mirror, or to buy a couple new plants and decor for your living room. There's lots of variety. From succulents, to indoor plants, to hanging ones... they have all the trendy house plants! Pretty affordable prices too. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about all the plant species in the shop. They also gave me a free "Plant Slut" sticker with my purchase! Excited to see how my Asparagus Plumosa grows... Its a tiny plant store in San Pedro Square and with what little space it has, they are still able to make their floor plan really spacious, without sacrificing their selections. The people that work their are very knowledgeable about all the plants there and are able to answer a variety of your plant questions ranging from sunlight to dealing with pests. The plants there are very well taken care of and they have very common plants. The only thing I would recommend in the store is having their prices more viewable on all the plants. So this was my first time going to a plant shop that has late hours! I love that Plant Slut have these hours to ease the itch to go plant shopping late at night. I especially had an amazing customer service I've experience with their worker, Kevin! (That's saying a lot since customer service is rare nowadays) I walked in and wanted to start collecting the hard type of plants (Calathea) and saw this one in the picture! Kevin was very knowledgeable and was super supportive about me trying this plant. A lot of other plant people I've met always discourage me from trying certain plants, but Kevin was great at weighing pros and cons. Even after all that, once I had decided on it, Kevin gave me really useful tips and tricks on how to manage the plant.
