Their take on the Hailey Bieber smoothie equivalent over at Erewhon
    Tom S.

Really good collagen smoothies. Tastes very similar if not maybe better than Erewhon's I just went to Erewhon recently in Calabasas and it didn't taste as good also they don't have the celebrity named smoothies over there anymore I guess the contract ran out.

A decent iced vanilla latte that had strong coffee and good vanilla. It was more of a okay coffee drink rather than phenomenal. The cashier person was friendly and they helped in choosing the food I wanted to order. I ordered a Mortadella on Focaccia. It looks light but is very heavy, I couldn't finish the complementary chips. Not sure if I was very thirsty or the sandwich a little dry but I needed the latte. I loved the sandwich though and the pistachio cream it comes with and mortadella is decent meat--this was my first time having mortadella. It's very bright and it's also kid friendly

Planta is in a really cute spot in the heart of Pleasanton. The staff were very warm and friendly. I felt like the lattes were a little mild on the flavor syrups, but they were decent quality and enjoyable. The breakfast sandwich was also decent. It's a solid spot to grab a coffee if you're in the area.

Loved the inside of the coffee shop, great color with the pop or orange. It was giving Colombian vibes. Great pastries and savory ones too. I got the regular lavender latte - iced . It had great flavor and the coffee was really smooth. The staff are also very helpful and patient when making a recommendation. Great spot to catch up with friends or to grab a quick drink on your lunch break.

I came here not long after they opened up last to meet up with a friend for an early breakfast, and I am just getting to reflect on my first impressions. The interior is clean and simple, but I am not sure if I am a fan of the orange appointments. The interior space is deceivingly large. There are some hidden spaces towards the back of the restaurant making it to be a very odd layout. They were well staffed and very attentive. They have a selection of pastries and other basic breakfast items made-to-order. Despite it being a Saturday morning, many of their pastry items were unavailable. That was disappointing. We ended up with a few selections and espresso drinks. Nothing really stood out. Prices were average, however, given the unremarkable and unmemorable taste, I don't think this would be a place I would return to.

Planta Coffee House opened a few months ago where Home Care Assistance once was. Some seating outside. Much more inside. Decor vanilla walls with an orange tile wall & orange mural at the end wall. Some pics too. Seats mostly occupied. Offerings: coffee, sandwiches, specialty drinks, salads, soups. Empanadas, toasts, .. Sips: pour over (4)black only -Quickly made. Medium roast blend. boldish, strong brew. Came within minutes. Short line to order 4 stars worthy! Quantity: reasonable Quality: very good. *owners: Brava Garden Eatery a few doors over.

I've been anticipating this place's opening for so long and it definitely didn't disappoint! Cute, quirky, local coffee shop vibes. It seems like a great place to chat or sit and study for a while! Their coffee was good and they had a small pastry assortment, but I didn't get to try any. I'll definitely be back to try sometimes soon! The staff were friendly, quick, and kind. They seemed familiar with some of their regulars and were very welcoming :(

Empanada city, IDK about plant based food but the beouf empanada was truely delish, better than reg Argentina style, but spice is more pronounced. Capp was very small but most affordable under 4 dollars. They had pastry in room temp case but quickest [x2 kinds] were ready under warming holder case along with 6 diff empamadas at my early 8 visit. Will.return again for.hot tea and d a pastry[seen baked in ovens there] praying it's not Sysco, was present for soft opening and only had coffee. Empanada are baked there and seemed handmade and original.recipe. Seating and decor is off white a d orange and nice change for downtown.p-town. Seating is good for 20ish a d so.e outside. I will try the Lavender Latte next then maybe the chai. The empanadas and 4 Barrel Coffee [local roaster].seems smooth! Worth the stop/walk

Been wanting to try this new spot downtown. I love the Erewhon Strawberry Glaze smoothie so I was super excited to try this dupe. I'm honestly shocked to see positive reviews on this place. Smoothie was warm. No ice. For $18, I'd expect much more! Extremely chunky, and what is this maggot looking thing that I turned purple trying to suck up? Will not be back. Expected so much more.

The short rib empanadas are delicious and I always get the turkey on ciabatta. Also the chips are 10/10

Loved what the new owners did to this space! The vibe of this cafe is great. Loved all the seating that's available, including a quieter nook in the back for those who would like to study/work. I got an Americano - it's a medium blend. My preference is dark but still, it was a nice cup of coffee, especially with it being priced around $5! They also have a great selection of pastries - sweet and savory, including empanadas! Delicious!!

Loved my visit to planta! I watched a video on tik tok and when I realized how close it was to work I decided to get up a few mins earlier so I can drop by. The vibes are so cute and feels like you are transported somewhere else. Can definitely do a cute photo op moment with all the orange! The empanadas were a 10/10! Small but mighty and packed with flavor. The coffee was good too my only complaint is that I needed a bit more ice. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that it wasn't all ice and more coffee but I do think it needed just a lil more to help keep my drink cool for a bit. The staff were really friendly too which is always a plus.

Planta recently opened so we stopped in to check it out. I ordered a mocha and my lady ordered a latte, we also got a mortadella sandwich to share. All together $30 before tip, the sandwich was $15, a little pricey but it was yummy. Both of our drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was upbeat. Plenty of business coming through the door (along with the occasional tray of empanadas, I think they're made by Brava down the street) The decor is bright and looked like it was geared toward a family friendly vibe. There is even a kids area at the back of the shop.

Didn't really think about it until we've left - Cappuccino was $4.25, meaning that the Cookie Butter Latte was a $10 drink. Apologies but personally, it didn't taste like a $10 drink. Probably won't go all the way there again.

They sell a ham & cheese croissant, coffees, teas, lattes, and four flavors of Japanese shaved ice called kakigori, which is the star of the show. The texture of this shaved ice is like fluffy cool softness that melts in your mouth. It is different than the traditional shaved ice and it is far from a snow cone. We ordered mango and kinako (a roasted soybean flour commonly mixed with sugar). These are large desserts! It takes time to make them since there are fresh ingredients inside. The mango was superb with little bits of fresh mango buried inside the ice. Not sickeningly sweet like the syrups most places use. My husband's had little mochi pieces mixed inside. It is common to add kinako to mochi so this was a bonus and a nice surprise. The kinako dessert was sweeter than the mango. Please know that there seems to be no a/c in this little shop but she has fans going. We went in the late afternoon so it was really uncomfortable inside. I had to leave and wait outside until the dessert was ready. It's hard to take these home as it melts fast so we sat inside to enjoy them. It was like heaven in my mouth and it cooled me down instantly. You must be patient as it takes at least 10-15 minutes for her to prepare the desserts but it is worth the wait! There is a small parking lot right in front shared with other businesses. Located right off the freeway behind Burger King.

This place was solid!…read more The ambience is not only crazy clean, but the vibes are chill. I went on a random afternoon where it wasn't very busy so I was in and out in less than 5 minutes once I decided what I want. Very spacious and has a ridiculous amount of seating so I'd imagine even when they are busy, it's tolerable. The art on the wall is also *chefs kiss*. It was my first time here so I asked the staff for some support and he did a good job breaking things down for me. He didn't have much enthusiasm or seem excited by my business, which I typically love about smaller coffee shops, but that's really my only criticism. I ordered the Yemeni Latte w/ Soy milk as an alternative. If you like spice, 10/10, great flavor. If you don't, choose something with a more gentle touch. Overall, the experience is a 9/10 but I'll give it 5/5 stars. They didn't wow me, so if I had to choose between going back there or trying a new small coffee shop, I'd choose the latter. Will I choose it over a big name franchise, every time. Have I had better coffee shop experience, absolutely.

My sister and I got coffee and kunafe, hoping to enjoy a nice treat together. I had also pre-purchased a Too Good to Go dessert bag ahead of time so we could try additional desserts later. Within thirty seconds of being at the counter, that excitement was gone. I mentioned my Too Good to Go order, and the female employee immediately cut me off: "we aren't doing that." There was no attempt to check the system or help resolve the issue -- just an outright refusal. I explained that I had already paid and that they were listed as a participating location. This was money already spent, not a casual request. She then told me that I was supposed to call ahead for my Too Good to Go order. I have used the app before and have never been required to do that, nor does the app state that customers need to call in advance. She also admitted that the app keeps posting their listings even though they are not actually honoring the orders and that they are not taking the listings down. If that is the case, customers are being allowed to spend money on something the store does not intend to provide. When I pointed out that she was the one refusing to fulfill the order, so maybe she should be the one to cancel it, she flat-out refused. So there I stood, having already paid for something, being told it was my responsibility to fix -- with zero help, zero ownership, and zero basic courtesy. The dessert case was full and the store was closing, yet there was no effort to provide the order or offer any reasonable solution. Still hoping to salvage the visit, I asked for kunafe and coffee. Instead of being served a proper portion, the employee gave me small bite-sized pieces and simply threw them into a box. She did not ask if we wanted them heated, did not heat them up, and did not mention that they were missing the key ingredients. When we opened the box, we found that the kunafe had no syrup and no sweet cheese in any of the pieces. For those who don't know, the cheese is not just a topping -- it is a central part of the dessert. Serving kunafe without cheese and syrup is like serving a burger without a patty and calling it a sandwich. By the time the coffee arrived, I wasn't expecting much, and unfortunately it matched the rest of the experience -- bland, forgettable, and an afterthought on top of everything else that had already gone wrong. The owner needs to know exactly how this location is being run when they are not there. Customers should never have to fight to receive something they already paid for, and they should not be treated with a poor attitude when they calmly try to resolve an issue. Between the refusal to honor a paid app order, the lack of accountability, and a kunafe order that was carelessly prepared and missing essential ingredients, this was not just a bad experience -- it reflected a complete lack of care. We will not be back, and I would think carefully before trusting this place with any online or app order.
