I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and honestly had to do a double take when I heard the price. I don't mind spending a little extra for a good drink, but this one wasn't worth it. The matcha was pretty underwhelming, and the staff came across as indifferent. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out in a positive way either. Maybe I set the bar too high based on my experience in London, but this visit left me disappointed. Next time I'm in the area, I'll probably save myself the money and head to Philz instead. Decided to try Joe and the Juice on Easter Sunday since most places were closed. I ordered a strawberry-banana shake for my husband and an açaí bowl for myself. The shake was ready first, and I waited at the counter for my bowl. While I was waiting, the employees were busy chatting about Instagram and their friends -- which I get, they seemed pretty young -- but it didn't feel very attentive. When I finally received my bowl, I sat down, opened the plastic lid, and immediately saw a black, three-inch hair stretched across the top, right through the almond butter. Ugh. Needless to say, I instantly lost my appetite and asked for a refund. It's unfortunate because the shake was actually delicious, and we probably would have come back. It's an interesting sight when you walk in and almost all the patrons have a Philz cup at their table. I almost did a double take to make sure I was at the right place. I'd never been to J&TJ before so I figured I'd give it a fair shot. I ordered a 12 oz juice (over $11!!!!) and my partner ordered black coffee. The juice was fine, a little too sweet for me. The coffee unfortunately was not hot. There are a few tables and high tops for people to sit. My only critique of the tables/chairs is that unless you snag an actual table, the other small tables (with the cushion chairs) or high tops are at awkward heights to work from your laptop. read more

Come on, give me the break! Three small cups of smoothies for $41? Actually they called those are the large cups! You can't see the prices of the drinks on the menu, so they charged me some of the "best for guts" drink is almost $15, which is small cups of boba milk tea I used to buy in the boba shop. The owner, if you think fruits and vegetables to make your drink must be more expensive than boba tea, what do you say about more than 50% of milk in your drink? As soon as you walk into Joe & The Juice at Bishop Ranch, it's like the cozy cutesy dream coffee shop + more you'd ever want! My mom, sister and I went for a girls date and it was perfect. I definitely think that their prices are a bit overly priced and pastries especially For the amount you receive. I got the pick me up juice with strawberry , apple and ginger. Joe & The Juice in San Ramon is conveniently located in Bishop Ranch, so parking in the nearby garage is super easy and free. It is spacious and has some outlets, though not a ton. WiFi was fast - I had no issues streaming a video call on Discord. The music, however, was way too loud during my visit - I could actually feel my seat vibrating from the bass, which made it hard to relax or focus. I will only come to Joe & The Juice for Tunacado. It is not overhyped at all. Tunacado is so delicious. I luv Tunacado. Food & Drink: - Tunacado: 5/5 I am not a tuna girl, but Tunacado has my heart. I don't know what it is but the tuna mousse is delicious and isn't like normal tuna salad where it tastes like a mouthful of mayo. The bread is crunchy and thin and just pairs so well with the avocado, tomato, and vegan pesto. I also really appreciate that the pesto does not have pine nuts in it!! Very good for anyone with a nut allergy, because most pesto is made with nuts. - Vanilla Matcha Iced Latte: 3/5 Mid and expensive. There are places with better quality matcha for the same price out there. Service: Food and drinks come out pretty fast, but some employees are not very friendly :-( Ambiance: Such a nice place to get work done! They have a lot of seating, comfy chairs, and good music. All these girls opening their pink boxed sandwich and the pink paper bag they give you your order in. I don't understand the hype/obsession that girls have been having over this place....maybe because it's "All Pink No Plastic"??? lucky me there was no locations in my area within the door dash delivery circumference, but that didn't stop me. Let me tell you a little secret, Try ordering on uber eats because their delivery area reaches out a lot farther than door dash does. So, this Tunacado sandwich served in the thinnest bread known to man kind was crunchy and very grainy which I didn't mind. I think the bread texture is what keeps me thinking that I like the sandwiches they serve here, but it's not worth the hype at all. there's nothing special about the sandwich other than that it comes in a pink cardboard box for you to go out of your way to try it out. on top of that the drinks were not what I was expecting at all. This is my go to spot in city center/san ramon. Not super busy, can order drinks or food when needed. I think it's nice because not as many people crowd the area like they do at Philz or Starbucks. Usually pretty quick sometimes goes over time but can get really busy. They have wifi and doors are usually propped open for air but when it's hot it's cool in here. After months of hearing and seeing about this tunacado sandwich, I finally got a chance to try it, and long story short, it was really good. The tunacado comes on a pressed bread/flatbread type thing and is filled with greens, avocado, tomatoes, tuna mousse, and vegan pesto. I thought the ratio of all the ingredients were even, with the right amount of tuna. It's not super fishy. The only thing I think it was missing was some jalapeño and some kewpie mayo (which I would've added if I brought it home lol) The sandwiches here are around that $12-13 range, which at least for the size of the tunacado, I thought it was good value for the size. It's definitely enough for a meal on its own and if you add a smoothie or drink, you'll be closer to $25ish for a sandwich and drink. We were in the need of a quick meal before a drive to dinner, so the tunacado was a great pregame snack for our dinner a few hours later. Is it something I'd order again? Most definitely. read more

I N S I D E It was cute, quirky, very "hip" and trendy. A good amount of seating inside. I could imagine myself grabbing a drink and working from here. M E N U I stared at the menu for long time because it was a little far and on screens above. I was trying to figure out which items had protein in it and that was a little unclear. So I gravitated to the shakes that said protein which were the vegan shakes. I chose the Green Gains which sounded interesting (Avocado, Cacao nibs, Cashew Coconut Drink, Date, Green Spirulina, Ice, Protein). Now mind you, I wasn't looking at the prices, so when she said something with a "12" in it, my brain just went numb and realized that I'm about to pay over $12 for a protein shake. This better be the best darn shake of my life. So was this a life changing shake? Albeit, let's go into the positives. It wasn't super sweet which is FANFREAKINGTASTIC! I'm all for not super sweet drinks as sugar gives me a headache. So the sweetness that comes from the dates was just enough. I liked the little bits of cocoa nibs and dates as I drank. For others, they'd wonder where the flavor was. Besides that, it felt like a normal shake. The price was just....a bit of sticker shock. I'm sure the ingredients were top notch and I'm paying for the experience but uff. S E R V I C E This is not a service with a smile place or perhaps just that day. Ultimately landed on the pick me up, it was tasty and you could taste the hint of olive oil. She enjoyed it and I did. It was refreshing. It was her first time trying Joe & the Juice and very curious since she had heard so much about it and wondered what he hype was about. This location is at the Bishop City Center where parking can take some patience. The garage usually has a lot of parking if you go high up. The store itself is located on the first floor facing outside. The store itself is very large with indoor and outdoor seating. It is very mellow inside with low music. The bathroom was a bit lacking cleanliness. No toilet seat covered and trash on the floor. The service was a little lacking. Not a single employee greeted us upon entering the store or asked if we needed any help. Nor did any of them smile. We observed it happen with other customers as well. It was a bit unwelcoming but oh well. We did order via the app and sat around for a good 15-20 mins wondering where our food was. The app did not notify us the order was ready nor did any of the employees. Besides that, the sandwiches were good as usual. The spicy tuna will always be my favorite. My friend tried the Joe Original and she said it was good as well. The breads both came out crispy and perfect. read more

The time we came it was only a few people. The service was good and they were fast too. Tried out their matcha latte with lavendar and I would say it's pretty decent. I usually like to try new things wherever I go, and I tried the Joe's Club Sandwich. I would say it's pretty decent too! My bestie would usually get the Spicy Tuna and that hits the spot real well with a good drink! If you haven't had this place before, I recommend you try it out.
