Unfortunately for us this is a long term RV Resort only that requires a minimum stay of 6 months (maybe that will change at some point) being we are residents of Florida a long term stay so close to home doesn't make sense for us but it definitely would be a place we would consider for a week or two while in the area. The sites are beautiful and clean and are spaced to provide plenty of privacy, the property is filled with rail cars and other train related items set in almost a museum like setting (very cool). We will continue to monitor this park to see if things change in the future it seems to be a real gem...

Very friendly neighbors. Pool and hot tub, pool table, horseshoe's, pickleball court, shuffleboard court, playground for kids, beautiful lake (no swimming in lake) alligators in lake, frogs, birds, squirrels, and small lizards. Roam around free ( except gator never saw it) wildlife never bothered us. It was fun to watch them though. The staff was very friendly and very helpful ( we suprised my son who lives there) online/on phone staff was amazing! Highly recommend this resort! You definitely get more than what you pay for! $488 for a week. You cant get one hotel room for that price, and we got a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom tiny home!

Amenities…read morelike a gym, game room, community room, swimming pool (wished it was heated), dog park and, like expected & typical in Florida, RV slips close together with some long term residents and some short term. We rented a Tiny House here, during the 2022 Christmas holiday. Reception staff was nice, not super knowledgeable about resorts events though. Resort Housekeeping serviced our rental (but the rental likely is owned by someone out of town). When we needed a space heater, because temperatures went below freezing, an ozone air purifier was brought (size of space heater, but NOT the same thing). The front sleeper sofa mattress was removed before we arrived, which made sitting there nearly impossible. May or may not be connected, but a couple days into our stay all three of us began to itch. The pieces didn't all fit together, at first, but there were Bed Bugs and our extremities showed the evidence - We had numerous bites! Days after, back at our home, an urgent care visit was necessary, due to an allergic reaction. The medications, laundering , loss of (possibly) infested items like luggage, and the daily attention to our home to eliminate any hiding 'hitch hikers' significantly outweighs the cost of our trip itself. Still a constant battle for weeks to come. So my greatest concern with the RV Park is their inability to identify a bed bug problem and prevent the critters from spreading. The homes nearby are at risk of an infestation, as well as the community areas, if this problem isn't handled with aggressive diligence.

I applied to live at the campground. The property manager called me and informed me that I did not…read moresign the bottom line so she could not authorize my background check. I asked her if I could authorize it over the phone she said no. I asked her if I could authorize it over email, she told me no. It was planned that I would come in later at the end of the week after my trip was over to come and sign the paperwork. Then she informed my boyfriend that he did not get approved to live there. So I called and I wanted my electric deposit back and to make sure I was not going to get charged for the upcoming month (since we never technically moved in, we were just paying rent to save our spot) and to get my $50 for my background check back because she told me they could not run it without my signature. She then informed me that she already ran my background check. I said that's really weird and shady because you told me you couldn't do it without my signature. And she was just standing on that she is not giving back my money because they already ran it. I don't even care about getting the money back at the principal is you told me that you could not run my background check and then you hung up the phone and proceeded to do it anyways. That is so unprofessional and the way the property manager handled it (I know if I say her name it's easier for her to take this review down but it starts with a K) I said, proceeded to ask the corporate number and she flat out told me no. Refused to give me a corporate number and then she gave me an email that is her work email. I think it's really shady that you're gonna act that way and then refuse to let anybody report it. I was about to stay at this campground for the next 1 to 5 years. And honestly, this must be a blessing in disguise that I don't need to be near that woman because even when I stayed her the previous year, she had a nasty attitude. I just hope this review helps other people protect themselves in the future because this company will dance along the line of doing illegal things behind your back. I had no problem if they had run the background check, the principal of this is that you told me you could not, hung up the phone, and then we ended it anyway without my knowledge. Update 7.12.26 According to their investigation and according to their " proper procedure" they " did not do anything wrong". If calling someone to let her know that you could NOT run the background check, informing her she HAS to come in to sign the bottom line, hanging up the phone and then proceeding to do the background check anyways is what this company calls "proper procedure", then I'm taking it as a blessing that my name will not be associated with a company that has such sketchy "proper procedure". An halfway apology does not seem genuine when you only respond through an online platform when I have complained. I asked for the corporate number and I was denied. I asked for a corporate email and I was denied. I'm glad to know you guys pay attention to your online reviews, and I hope you do better in the future when it comes to your "proper procedure"

We spent time exploring on a four-wheeler and were amazed by everything we saw, from alligators and countless birds to longhorn steers, goats, and ducks roaming the grounds. We had never experienced this type of camping before, having roaming goats, horses and steers mingling with us temporary residents. They employees round up the above noted animals and return them to their designated areas in the evening, so you need not worry about bumping into them in the dark or having them ransack your campsite during the night. They have a few rope platform swings for the kids, or adults if you want to sway. Fire pits and picnic benches are standard at each site. The lake views and hiking trails are awesome, with plenty of fish viewable from the raised shorelines. You can fish here as well, so bring your pole and gear if inclined. The onsite restrooms and showers were impeccably clean. The check in process was a breeze, albeit you need to sign your life away at the beginning. The check in staff provided a printed out scavenger hunt for the kids, who can win an ice cream bar if they find everything that is listed within the camp. The camp store was stocked with items one may have left behind, and reasonably priced. We would (will) go back one day!
