He left perfectly fine and came back with his arms wrapped and unable to move after getting stuck with a needle 6 times. He had every employee there to help him out, and NOBODY knew the machine was malfunctioning. I called to speak with them and figure out why there isn't a procedure for this issue, they're reason was because the plasma center is old and maybe donating isn't for him. I guess this excuses the fact that this center didn't care for the donor properly and they're not knowledgeable enough to know when a machine isn't operational. My boyfriend is unable to do anything with his arms and he is really weak because the blood the malfunctioning machine took, didn't get returned back to him like it should've been. I highly recommend finding a different plasma center unless you wanna play Russian roulette with they're malfunctioned old machines and give blood you won't get back.

I love that making an appointment means I done have to wait for 2-3 hours to get stuck. All the employees were paranoid super nice and professional. The center is clean like a hospital. The music is a throwback but not too loud it's really nice. The screening section is not walled off like at my last plasma center. It was different but not bad. Everyone was caring and nice. New donors have a good bonus for starting. I am not sure what the regular tiers are once you are a regular donor.

The lady who supervises was very nice and patient with me. The service blew my expectations everyone was so nice. My vein were too small and kept causing problems but the staff was patient and quick. It was very packed but they were fast and acted accordingly. I was told I couldn't continue the donation for the day due to infiltrating bc of the veins were so small but I'm welcomed to try again at a later date. I'll definitely be going back and trying again! Hopefully it takes next time!

I have always preferred to do my CPR and other courses through the Red Cross. They have never let…read moreme down, and I respect the business and the work they do in the community and the world. I had a little difficulty locating the area. I blame the gps and human error. But, that's why I left early enough incase I ran into problems. Once I found the location I was a little more at ease. The area is a little industrial. But, anywhere you go never let your guard down. Our instructor, Shaun/Sean/Shawn (not sure how he spells it) was kind, knowledgeable and very personable. He did well at informing us what to expect and how to go about the process. He was patient as we went through the process. I enjoy the laughter he would bring along through your the time. Certainly eased any nerves for anyone if they had anyone. I always get a little excited when I have to re certify for first aid, and CPR. I always call into the Red Cross number on the website. They issue a military discount. Anyone whom I have ever spoken to has always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable on any information provided. This time so signed up for two more classes, anaphylaxis and blood borne pathogens. I have done everything and enjoyed the online portion of the classes they have. I think I will look up more classes to do in my spare time. The subjects are well worth it.

They had to restick me because my left arm wasn't flowing as fast and kept tripping the machine. When they restuck me on the opposite arm, it hurt really bad. I told them I didn't want to do it anymore due to the pain. It took them 10 mins to get the needle out of my arm. At this point my body was starting to shake and I was on the verge of passing out. It is now 2 days after the donation, I have a huge bruise, my bicep is swollen, and it hurts to extend my arm. When I called them today to tell them my experience, they answered and immediately hung up. On the second time I called, they answered, did not put me on hold, so I was privy to a conversation that was not completely professional. Second, it should only take 45 minutes to donate blood, you're going to spend that much time waiting for them to come set you up. Third, Ive gotten a bad stick both times I've gone. The second time they had to remove from left arm and stick me in the right. Basically, they don't care about you or what they're doing. That is obvious in my review and all the others except the guy who works there and gave it a 4. Also, no response to the bad reviews. Like I said, they don't care.

Ladies you know how uncomfortable it can be when you get a pap smear. Well after talking to Dr. Roberts for a few minutes, I was ready to kick open my legs and say AHHHH lol Her staff is also amazing. I normally HATE giving blood, because I have deep veins and it always takes the nurse a few tries (the old insert needle, pull back needle, wiggle left/right, completely pull out needle and try other arm) This lady (sorry I don't know her name) got it on the first try! Praise the Lord! Two more things 1. She LISTENS!! I told her about a surgery I wanted to have done, but my insurance company believes it to be a cosmetic surgery. She LISTENED to my reasoning and actually took me serious and is following through. We're going to watch and see! 2.She told me I was overweight. I tried to argue hat African American women are healthier and the BMI charts aren't meant for 'US'.... She wasn't having it and told me I need to loose weight! lol I love the honesty! Check her out. The Norfolk location had been doing a good job until 3x ago my husband had 1 particular young lady…read morereally hurt his left arm. It hurt so bad that he wouldn't use that arm to donate anymore. He was using the other arm fine until he got the same young lady again the other day. It hurt bad and the numbers stopped so she called over the Dr and he said to pull it out so.e to get it going again. It did but still hurt bad. By the time he got home his arm was bruised bad and he had a liquid pocket under the skin on his bi ep and one on his forearm. We called and spoke to staff then a nurse and we told them what the nurse was wearing and how she had a clear face cover on so that she wouldn't hurt anyone else. Theu didn't even care, much less have her stop from hurting people. I'm not an attorney but this is the exact definition of "NEGLIGENCE." They have been informed and still not taken action to remedy it nor have her stop from hurting the next people. I guarantee if her records are pulled she has hurt many more. Truthissearching@yahoo.com
