I had a delamination spot in my pool and a sizeable crack on my spa step. My pool guy recommended Plaster Masters which is a small, family owned company located in Temecula. I live in Corona, but they were willing to travel to take care of my needs. I'm glad I used them as they did a fantastic job. When I called them, Heather answered the phone and was extremely knowledgeable about the issues I was having. It is one of the only companies that can do patch repairs under water. Kyle did all of the repairs and even cleaned up some other issues I had in my pool (rust spots and uneven areas in the pool). When the work was done, Heather called and explained everything and provided some valuable information on how I should maintain my pool going forward. The cost was reasonable considering the work that was done. Needless to say, I will certainly use Plaster Masters again if the need arises. Kyle came out and did a rust and rebar spot removal the very next day after we spoke. Their price was very reasonable. I noticed what I thought was some kind of stain in the deep end of my pool and I asked my pool guy what it was. He explained that over time the plaster gets thin and the stain I thought I saw was actually re bar. My first thought was great! More money I'll need to spend fixing it, draining the pool and an expensive water bill. He referred me to Plaster Masters and this was better than I expected. Their method was much more affordable and the technique didn't require any draining and avoided me a costly water bill. Heather was so nice and accommodating, got me an appointment that worked with my schedule. Kyle came out and got into his wetsuit and prepped the area and applied the patch. All I can say is AMAZING job done to repair the rebar bleed in my salt water pool. Heather, whom I had been communicating with provided excellent customer service, responding to my messages via Yelp as well as telephone calls. Before I go on, Thank You for all you other Yelp reviewers as it was your reviews that had me looking at Plaster Masters. I was so happy to find a business that could repair my rebar bleed without having to drain the pool, such a huge sigh of relief & money saved. I was able to get my repair done now mid-April as the water was warm enough due to the solar heating & pool covers, otherwise you'll have to wait until your pool temp is at least in the mid-70s I think but don't quote me, my pool now ranges 80-86 at the moment. I digress... The process itself was quite interesting to watch. Kyle & his nephew arrived on time. They get their equipment ready. Kyle gears up in his half wet suit & scuba gear, attaches some weights to his waist to stay submerged in the water & in the pool he goes to work. Not even 2 hours & the job was done! I only had 1 rebar bleed, thankfully. I have attached some photos (x7) from discovery to the repair. Plaster Masters was recommended to me by the owners of the pool supply store I frequent. I was in need of having two "bleeding rebar" locations repaired, one being in a side wall about 3 feet under the water and one at the very bottom of the pool. I was not looking forward to having to drain my pool to get these repairs done. Kyle is a scuba diver enthusiast and developed a method of doing these repairs WITHOUT having to drain the pool, which would incur additional costs (I have a salt system) and get hosed by the water company to refill it. I ain't no rocket scientist, so of course I could not grasp how this could be done (underwater). I made my inquiries and had this done within days right after the covid restrictions took place (this line of work IS essential, BTW). Heather was great in getting it set up with Kyle and I was able to get my estimate by sending them photos of the two locations I wanted repaired. The day of the repair was interesting to say the least, watching Kyle work his magic under the water. It has now been about 8 months and the repairs have held up well, knock on wood. I was forewarned that these types of repairs may eventually have adverse failures down the road due to the salt water in the pool. What that potential time frame is I have no idea. My pool is 18 years old, so unfortunately I know that other repairs are right around the corner. When that day comes I will inquire of Plaster Masters first and foremost. read more

I spoke with Kyle and his assistant over the phone and at first we were going to do have 1 section of our jacuzzi retiled. When Kyle came out with sample tiles we decided to get the entire outside of the jacuzzi retiled and scheduled a date to do the repair. I called them to see if they could also do the top to make it a 100% replacement. Kyle told me that it might be hard to get the small cube tiles that were on some of the top area. I told him whatever works, just replace the top if possible. I got a call from him today, that he decided they weren't going to do the job. What kind of company renigs on a job? Late with this review, but better late than never! We called Plaster Masters in complete desperation to get our 20 year old pool back in shape. We'd had some trouble with algae for the past few years and even with treatment the algae had stained the plaster. It looked awful. I wanted to re-plaster the entire pool, but after speaking with Heather, and discussing how old our pool was, the plaster type, etc., she advised us that the acid wash should do a pretty good job and would save us thousands of dollars! To save a bit of money, we decided that we would drain our pool ourselves, but didn't realize our pump was WAY undersized for the amount of water in the pool, so it was still half-way full that morning when Kyle was supposed to come out and do the job. I contacted Heather and she said Kyle would be out with a larger pump and take care of it. He brought out the pump and then came back a few hours later to finish the job. He didn't charge us anything extra to do that. Impressive! The job turned out beautiful and we even had him come back a few days later and replace the mastic around the pool. He also gave us advice on how to start the pool back up with chemicals (even though they offer that service for an extra charge).
