I actually had a good experience with them before until this recent experience. Our heater was working intermittently. This technician was sent to fix it. He did not seem to know his way around an AC system. He kept taking pictures and sending them to another technician who was fixing someone else's AC to get advice on what to do. After 90 minutes of this, he said the thermostat is the problem. Mind you, the thermostat is new and we have had this problem since the last time a technician came to repair the system. I told him to leave. Then I called the warranty company. They called the platinum to send a more experienced technician to come. But platinum decided either they will send the same technician or they will not be able to help us. This type of a service in 2024 is absolutely unacceptable. Irresponsible contractors and company. Called in to make sure I will get a call from contractor. Was assured that contractor will call me but well behold. He just shows up in front of my door. Contractor did not even step foot to my house and says he cannot access my roof and the Home Warranty company will contact me to schedule another contractor. I notice that there are a whole lot of fake reviews for these guys. I went ahead and tried these guys out since they were suggested via my insurance company. Let and behold, i later found out they lied to the insurance company and said that they fixed an AC leak while and tried to charge me a arm and leg ($55 per pound of refrigerant.) after the fact that they falsified a repair job to my insurance company. After going to a 2nd opinion on what my A/C problem is, I found out that there are no apparent leaks or repairs done to fix such an issue as well as normally the going price from refrigerant is about $25 a pound. I am now stuck with these guys who ripped both me and my insurance company off with false diagnostic as well as. I highly recommend not going to these guys and find yourself a honest A/C company. FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! About a month ago, my home insurance company recommended Platinum Air Conditioning. Prior to consulting with them, I researched their reviews and noticed that users consistently rated them 5 stars. In addition I checked with other companies to get an idea of how much it would cost to repair my central air conditioning. From 3 other companies, I received a quote averaging out to $27 per pound of refrigerant. In addition, to the cost per pound, companies usually charge a small fee of $100 for labor. I took my findings and consulted with Platinum Air Conditioning. To my surprise, they charged an outrageous fee of $60 per pound!! That's almost 200% of the average quote I received. They also tried to explain why the charges are high. They said that they include the fee in the quote to decrease the price. But I don't see the math at all??? Are the other reviewers below getting ripped off? Please be cautious before dealing with this company!!! And ALWAYS do your research. Something tells me the reviews below are fake reviews. A lot of companies do this nowadays so mask poor customer service or high fees/quotes. read more

The staff is rude and unprofessional when you call them. The manager never called me back, they up-sell everything to make up for the little money the home warranty company pays them (home warranty companies suck too BTW). They can't answer questions over the phone. They took over a month and were going to use equipment I've never heard of. They were booked out over a week so I took the cash out from the warranty company (which wasn't much) and had my AC guys do it. Several others I know had the same issue/complaints. read more

There are a few different "Platinum Air Conditioning" business listed on Yelp, hope I'm reviewing the right one. Anyway, I'm not sure why this business has so many negative reviews. We had a great experience with them recently. Our A/C stopped working right in the midst of heat + fires polluting the outdoor air. We used Platinum because they are familiar with the condo complex we live in. We called in the morning and Pablo was able to come the very same afternoon. He was so incredibly nice and helpful. Our issue was with leaking freon. Nony (the owner) called to explain everything to us, and they brought a specialist the next day to fix the leak. I think the price was reasonable (?) although honestly we have no point of comparison. Everything was seamless, prompt, and they were very professional. Thanks so much! read more

I contacted Platinum Air Conditioning earlier this month when the temperature was rising above 110 degrees. Our unit was not letting out any cold air. I was hoping to get an appt. within a couple of days. I called Nony and he said he would call me back shortly. When he called, he told me one of his employees would be able to come to my house that afternoon. Within 3 hours, the employee arrived and serviced my air conditioner. Wow! It's been working perfectly since then. I am so grateful and glad I called Nony. I have read some of the negative reviews and know there must be a mix-up. Some of the negative reviews refer to Alex as being the owner. The owner of the company that came to my house is Nony. This is one of the worst companies I have ever talked to on the phone or had come to a home. They were rude and the receptionist would not let us speak to a manager. I had to call back and merge the calls between the company and the insurance company. They did not like that needless to say. In fact they told me that wasn't allowed. I found Platinum via a friends recommendation. My air conditioning stopped blowing cold air in my condo. I called and within the hour Tom, the technician, was checking my unit. He diagnosed the problem, my coil, and gave me an estimate. I made a few calls and compared pricing, which is what Tom advised me to do. I decided to go with Platinum because they had the best price and Tom said he could do the pair right away. All said and done, my a/c works great now! I'm so happy with the service and price and Tom. My AC had stopped working. I had already gotten 2 quotes so I pretty much knew what was wrong - a blown circuit board. The first person gave me a correct diagnosis, but couldn't work with the wholesale distributor to deal with the 10 year warranty on the part. The second company had a free service call, but was a total rip-off telling me I needed 2 other parts, quoted me $1850 for the job, and they refused to deal with the warranty on the circuit board. Sako of Platinum Air showed up on time, went up into my super hot attic, diagnosed the bad circuit board, took down the serial number of the part and the AC unit, agreed to get the part from the wholesaler, and return to install it for $200! Unfortunately, the part was not in stock, but 6 days later he called to say that he had it, returned to install it, and he dealt with the warranty hassle so I wouldn't have to. He was thorough; he checked my unit outside and determined that I had sufficient freon and everything was working fine. Professional, honest, thorough, he wore a mask, and the price was reasonable. It was 100 degrees outside today, but nice and cool in my house! I couldn't ask for anything more. read more

We were also referred by the insurance company when the unit did not appear to turn on (had an older control box). The sent a person who didn't speak sufficient English and appeared as if he didn't want to do anything, almost as if he was working for the insurance company. He simply replaced the control box. The unit leaked a lot and he told us that it was just the condensation. Paid $65.00 and later when it really got hot, the system would not go below 80 degrees inside the house even after running for hours. We finally had to call someone else who cleaned the filters and aligned all the vents property. Stay away if possible! read more

And lastly, for all of you who think I have not used other companies for work at other properties years ago I have owed---- I have. Therefore, I feel I am extremely qualified to write this review. I have used this company thru out the last 10 years many times. They have replaced a air-conditioning system, heating system, and re-vented my entire house. Every single time, I have used them they have given a great price (well below the other companies), and put in the best -high quality systems (state of the art and up to code). I always receive a call back from Nony with-in 24 hours and he immediately comes the next day to check out the problem, (even if it is on a Saturday or Sunday). Why ?--- because Nony is truly there to help you and takes pride in his work- he is a true professional. I have never had to re-call him to fix a problem because he made sure it was done correctly the first time. Honestly, why would I use this company for these extensive jobs if I did not feel i was getting the best. I wouldn't right? Please take this into consideration and call Nony.
