The nine hour tour started off in Boston Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Transportation Center then into northeast Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. This review breaks the New England Sea Coast tour by the three states for easy reading. Massachusetts: Hotel pickup to New Hampshire 286 The tour started when the bus picked us up at the hotel. This was the shuttle bus to the Massachusetts Transportation Building in downtown. This is where we paid the $69 prior to boarding the actual tour bus. The driver, who never gave his name was a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. As we left downtown, he told us the facts behind the landmarks we were passing that included the Massachusetts State House, the Old State House, a cemetery, and Boston Commons. After leaving Boston on the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge. Once we passed the Charles River, the driver took a hiatus on talking until we got off Interstate 95 near New Hampshire. As the bus cruised north on Interstate 93 and northeast on Interstate 95; I took in the New England roadside scenery in a very comfortable bus. Usually I get this phobia when I am not in front of the bus. This bus was so comfortable that it was not bothering me being in the middle. New Hampshire : An exit south of the New Hampshire border, the bus turned east on Route 286. In a few minutes we entered New Hampshire where we passed miles of wetlands. Our driver gave one fact after another from New Hampshire is expensive to live in, to most of the lobsters you will eat are male, to if there is a marsh nearby you will have a lot of sea food. When we made the left onto northbound New Hampshire Route 1A we would travel alongside the Atlantic Ocean until we met up with US 1 in Portsmouth. The first stop was Hampton Beach where we walked near the sandy beach and quickly looked in gift shops. Maine : Near the Pisquatica River at the Maine border we got on I-95 for a few miles. Now in Maine we soon got off the Interstate and in a few minutes were along the rocky Atlantic Coast of Maine. The driver continued to pass on his encyclopedia knowledge of the New England Coast. Our second stop was the Nuddle Lighthouse. The bus resumed along the Coast until it met up with US 1 near Ogunquit where recent suburban sprawl replaced forests. The tour guide would bring up all the Sprawl attributing it to the area becoming popular when George Bush started vacationing in Kennebunkport. Near the Rachel Carlson Wildlife Preserve, the charming side of Maine returned. In a few minutes was our third stop in Kennebunkport where we enjoyed a Maine Lobster Roll. After the third and final stop we headed back to the Atlantic Coast where we saw the vacation home of George Bush and the historic architecture of the estates in Kennebunkport. This was the northernmost point of the tour. The bus drove out of Kennebunkport in a Southwest direction on Maine Route 35. The last sight we saw was the Wedding House. As soon as we got on southbound Interstate 95 toward Boston, the tour officially was over. My final paragraph on the tour starts off by suggesting that you sit on the right side of the bus. The right side windows overlook the Atlantic Ocean, the Wedding House, and a nice view of the Charles River returning into Boston. In conclusion I highly recommend the Gray Line New England Sea Coast tour.

Great storytelling about revolutionary events, like the Boston Massacre, and the Boston Tea Party. He also helped debunk the Paul Revere story and gave credit to the riders that actually helped alert the town. Navigating the car noise, traffic signals, and competing tour groups was tricky in the sometimes-narrow cobblestone streets, so he deserves credit for keeping the group intact. He was also one of only a couple of tour guides that actually dressed the part (Nathaniel was his ancestor), which was a significant bonus in bringing the storytelling to life. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Highly recommend asking for Captain Nathaniel, aka Matt!

About 2 weeks before the party we called Kaitlyn and told her it was going to turn into our surprise wedding! She continued to be so helpful and excited, giving recommendations for all kinds of vendors we'd need. The day of the party she was professional and hands-on, making sure everything got done on a quick timeline. She calmed nerves and had great suggestions on where things should go to make sure everything flowed just right. Our rental price included some tables and linens she had available, and some glassware too. It was so perfect from the start and we couldn't be happier!!

Beautiful historic building who's tour guides added in a true life murder mystery of the lady of the houses death. This really added to the event as it was so my scene and absolutely fun. They also had a whiskey tasting since she was poisoned with whiskey which is ironically amazing. I would def host an event here because unlike the Newport mansions I could touch things and see things in the midst of being historically preserved since they're still restoring the house. Mobsters and Lobsters is a mafia story laden trip that ends up at the south shore popular lobster eatery. Although Mother Nature and the traffic in downtown Boston decided yo play games with us the owner who's name actually is Tom Collins, started off with a quick quip yo get the folks settled and the first round of beverages were begun. Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

The Visitor Center is nicely done, staffed by knowledgeable Rangers & Volunteers. It has a gift shop & restrooms. The grounds around Historic buildings are well maintained along with the buildings. In the sweltering July 2026 heat we traveled by train to arrive in Quincy. Only to be lectured by a Park Ranger about how my backpack wasn't able to let us visit any of the locations. This same Ranger continued to lecture us on the possible heat closures and then chastise us for our lack of planning and prepartion to come and see the properties. How dare we come see a National Landmark and not think to plan in advance and get tickets. Listen my husband was having a history gorge on this trip so I wasn't going to pitch a fit. But, come on National Parks. We WANT people to be interested in our national history, be proud of our hertitage, and WANT to visit. Maybe we remove some barriers and not dress down visitors. Everything was closed for tours because of the heat risk. But, that sweet air conditioned bus was solid. Driver played good music, the AC was cranking and we were able to see all the different parts. The Park did have actors performing a scripted role of the Adams Family- they were impressive, the gardens of the home were beautiful. Additional bright spots: the movie was great at the welcome center. The Family history was amazing- the dedication and duty of service was astounding. The lessons and connection to a time gone by was great. Remove some barriers, be more welcoming, create more opportunities...

Little rainy/cloudy when arrived but they suggested we wait an hour, and it cleared up. I can't say thank you enough to Sophia, our pilot. Kind,caring, and informative. She takes you on a golf cart to the helicopter, goes over rules, and for the 30 minute trip we flew all around boston. From seeing the "hot" spots: the boston Garden, fenway park, the Prudential. Be careful when putting the address into your navigation, especially Waze users, as it took us to the totally wrong location at first. Once you arrive, however, parking is pretty straightforward. It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!
