The comments about me needing to lose weight were made at least 5 times, which is why they made me uncomfortable. I also found the owner's use of the term "extra flesh" in his public response to be unprofessional and reflective of the concerns raised in my original review. Never once did I mention "extra flesh" so you see they literally body shame even publicly. I stand by my experience. While my piercing healed well with the titanium jewelry I selected, the repeated comments about my body and the pressure I felt to purchase more expensive jewelry are the reasons I chose not to return. -------- I originally booked an appointment here because they operate by appointment only. However, I was surprised to learn that both appointments and deposits are cash only. In a time when most businesses accept cards, Apple Pay, and other digital payment methods, this felt unnecessarily inconvenient. During my visit, I decided to get my belly button pierced. Unfortunately, the experience left a negative impression. Throughout the appointment, the piercer an Asian lady repeatedly commented that I needed to lose weight. These remarks were unsolicited, unprofessional, and made me uncomfortable. For context, I am 5'3" and approximately 123 pounds. Regardless of anyone's size or personal fitness goals, customers should not have to listen to repeated comments about their body during a piercing appointment. I came in for a service, not for criticism about my appearance. After that experience, I decided I would not return. Another issue I had was the constant pressure to purchase more expensive jewelry. I specifically requested titanium jewelry because I had researched it beforehand and wanted an option that is commonly recommended for sensitive skin. Despite this, I felt repeatedly pushed toward more expensive alternatives and was told I would be more likely to experience problems if I chose titanium. In my case, that was not true. My piercing healed without infection, and I was happy with my choice. Six months later, once my piercing had fully healed, I wanted to upgrade my jewelry and visited Platinum Ink Tattoo & Piercing. The difference in customer service was night and day. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. They answered my questions without judgment, made me feel comfortable, and provided a much more positive experience overall. I was also surprised to find that both their piercing services and jewelry were approximately half the price of what I had been quoted at Eddie's. On top of that, Platinum Ink accepts multiple forms of payment, including credit cards and Apple Pay, and they welcome walk-ins, making the entire process much more convenient. I cannot speak to the quality of the tattoo work here since I only received a piercing. However, based on my personal experience, I would choose Platinum Ink Tattoo & Piercing without hesitation. Customer service, professionalism, and making clients feel comfortable should be a priority, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

I love how they don't just eyeball it but actually measure and draw out lines to figure out placement. Loved how all of em came out. Despite my efforts to keep them happy, I've had two incidents since where i was genuinely concerned that the only solution would be to take it out cuz that's all i saw online. I was so relieved when eddie informed me it'd be possible to save it (not a guarantee tho) using an extension bar and thank goodness it worked cuz both are completely fine now. I doubt i would still have em if i went anywhere else bout the issues i had. He is always rly prompt with responding on ig which I rly appreciate, especially when I had concerns. I first came here to get my tragus and third lobe piercings, and as someone who's really particular bout things like placement and symmetry, I got reassurance seeing Ayan measure and line up the placement of my third lobe piercings. Seeing how in depth they do even lobe piercings, I was confident in coming here and only here for back dermals. Also as a heads up this place is cash only Highly recommend here for all piercing needs:)

I texted them about the situation and to schedule an appointment to fix it. I received no response to several texts and phone calls. So, I called them from my friends phone number. They texted back within 2 minutes. I explained the situation again. The owner wants me to pay $60 to fix his own mistake. When I brought it up, he replied it's the price of the material. It is literally 1"×1" butterfly tattoo that is already colored. When we asked for the brand, he stop replying. I showed to other tattoo artist and everybody said it was a shitty job and when shade of anything was brown...it doesn't look real at all. I strongly suggest that you find another tattoo artist.

I found Matthew through a co worker who was getting work done on his arm. I had 2 tattoos on my left arm that I wanted covered up. I called Matthew up and he saw me soon after for a consult. I showed up to his shop and let just say, it's very clean and full of personality. (just like Matthew). I gave him an idea of what I wanted and away he went designing something better than I imagined. He took his time, made sure the existing lines would work and BAM!!! An amazing 2 tattoo cover-up... Now I'm on my third tattoo with him and could not be happier!!! Another aspect to Matthew is that during the time I have spent with him I have seen countless others with either old tattoos that needed a simple refresh or complete cover-ups. I got 2 tattoos here. One on my back that looks like a galaxy. Matt did the tattoo and is wonderfulwith water color and water color only. I then asked him to do the rosse under glass from beauty and the beast. It looked so fucked up i cried so hard. He didntt even use my picture he found another picture and used that which i did not approve. I have been to over 20 different tattoo shops who said its to small they mever would have done it in the firsst place its to small. So i finally found some (Elle at mule tattoo, excellent artist go there). I also got a triple helix peircing there. She peirced the bottom one so low it got infected and i almost lost all three peircings so i went back had her take out the bottom one and the othe two healed nicely and i love them. So its hit and miss with this place but i know there are much better places to go. read more

Best place ever! Cece helped me and my best friend who got horrible piercings at Claire's/ Icing. Our cartilage piercings were super swollen and we were in so much pain! She was so nice and caring and really knows what she is doing. I was not worried at all when she was replacing the earrings because she makes you feel very comfortable and she makes sure everything is completely sanitized. Our ears feel so much better now. I got my right Nostril pierced here, the woman who pierced it for me did an amazing job. It was quick and painless. She was very kind and I plan on getting more piercings here specifically for these reasons. Worst tattoo experience I've had, shop minimum was way too high. Me and my friend went and got matching tattoos while I was out in California and now we regret going to platinum ink and the artist was to into the football game the whole time instead of his clients. I have yet to find a spot by myself so I just bit the bullet for paying for valet. We came in an hour before closing and were greeted by Samara - who did a wonderful job getting us set up for our spontaneous piercings! We were then directed to Lucas. He did my friend's tragus piercing and my dual lobe piercings. I haven't been pierced since I was a baby, but Lucas made the whole experience real easy. Overall, he's a super chill guy that makes an effort to strike up a conversation and make you feel comfortable about the whole process. Other than the fleeting hot sensation from the initial pinch, the process was pretty painless. Bonus: we got some sick stickers featuring his bull dog Everyone we met at the shop was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Their website is also a fantastic resource in case you don't ask all of your questions about healing in-person. My friend and I truly felt like we were in great hands so kudos to everyone for setting such an easygoing vibe. I've been back a few times since January for a quick monthly check and to get my piercings downsized recently. As expected, I was met with top-tier customer service, true to the shop's personal brand. I feel confident coming back for future piercings. Lastly, if you're downsizing - I highly recommend making an appointment. I was in and out (no more than 15 minutes), but I was surrounded by 4+ walk ins. It's really easy to do so over their website vs. calling.

The shop is always clean and professional, and the staff always take extra care to ensure everything is completely sterilized. They're also very honest about anatomy and healing viability, especially with uncommon or complex piercings. My first time in the shop around two years ago, I went for a vertical double conch orbital piercing. They were very straight forward about it being painful, complex, and difficult to heal. All through the healing process Rose was quick to answer my messages on Instagram, and she even went to the trouble of custom ordering me a piece of jewelry for it once it finally healed. Another time I visited the shop to see Mason, with just an idea of wanting something new in one of my ears. He brainstormed with me for a while, and we decided on a faux snug that also turned out absolutely perfect. I recently had neck surgery and have had to take all of my 14 ear piercings in and out multiple times. Logan always takes everything out for me and puts retainers in the holes that need them. When I come back in they sterilize all of my jewelry (even the pieces I bought elsewhere), and put everything back in for me. They even remember where all 14 pieces go back in my ears at this point because I've had to have Logan do this for me like five times over the last few months.

And most importantly they are incredibly kind and make the process fun! I got my third ear lob piercings done by Mason over a year ago and had a great experience throughout the piercing process. Both he and Logan made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process from exploring concepts together, helping me pick jewelry, decide what type of piercing to do and where, and actually doing the piercing. The studio and the piercer's sanitation processes were top notch. The piercing process was as painless as possible and the communication throughout the entire process made it easy and comfortable. Even though I don't live close to this shop and there are other piercing studios nearby to me, I wanted to come to Rainbow Piercing to help me when I had an issue with my naval piercing because I knew I could trust them. Mason helped me again today when I couldn't get my navel piercing put back in. I had left my jewelry out for a week and I couldn't install it into the piercing by myself because the piercing had collapsed and trying to put the a piece in was painful, really tight, and dangerous to do by myself. They walked me through the process and were able to quickly and sanitarily install a piece into my piercing using a tapered tool. Once again, he made me feel very comfortable with knowing what to expect and making it happen as painlessly as possible. I got a third lobe and a flat with her and they were both honestly a 2-3 out of 10 on the pain scale. She was quick, efficient and minimized any discomfort. Natalie even had Disney princess music playing when we walked into the room! My daughter was so much more relaxed after she began interacting with Natalie and I was more relaxed seeing how neat and clean the station was in the room. Once it was time for the actual ear piercing, Natalie let me hold my daughter in the chair because she was upset. The piercing was quick and perfectly even. My daughter was so happy! I was so impressed at how my daughter didn't complain of any pain hours after the piercing and both earlobes were not even red! It's been 6 days since the piercings and everything looks so good. If you are considering Natalie for piercings, you will not be disappointed! So professional and most importantly CLEAN, SANITARY & SAFE!
