I highly recommend Platinum in Ashland. The office itself is easy to get to and there is ample parking. The receptionist is friendly and competent. The therapist I was assigned to is amazing. If I'm having trouble with a particular exercise, she immediately knows what I'm doing wrong or how to adapt it to something I can do. The office uses an online home exercise app that contains videos showing how to do the exercise, which is excellent for helping you remember how to do exercises correctly. read more

I have been working with Erika for pelvic floor physical therapy for some time now, and I have only great things to say! She is very cognizant of the sensitive nature of pelvic floor issues and treatment. She has been extremely supportive through my journey, very easy to talk to, and she has given me many tips and help beyond my core treatment. There is a whole world around pelvic floor issues that everyone should know! I was going to the Hopkinton location, until Erika was moved to Ashland. All of the office staff have been helpful throughout my time working with them, and I have had no problems with billing or making appointments. Called for a specific therapist trained in a particular method. Was pushed to a different therapist, and I agreed because I'm in excruciating pain am willing to give someone else a try... that said, my back gave out on me, making me five minutes late for my appointment. Was told that I wouldn't be seen because that would only leave ten minutes for me to be treated anyway. So the pain I was in has been exponentially increased by me having to get into a seated position and all for nothing because I won't be treated and if I was it would have been a 15 minute session anyway? read more

I can't say enough good things about Ashland and Hopkinton Physical Therapy. Not only are you being treated by very skilled physical therapists, but they actually know and can relate to the rigor of the sports and activities their patients come in with, such as the wear and tear of marathon training. I have worked with Chris from the Hopkinton location on several occasions to tame my IT Band Syndrome and knee tendinitis. He was very skilled and knew exactly how to send relief to my throbbing leg. I highly recommend both locations, for their expertise in the field and their state of the art therapy equipment. It is one of the only places to go to use an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill to continue your training, while recovering at the same time. read more

Platinum Physical Therapy has helped me to work through numerous running injuries. I worked with Kelsey who gave me a lot of great feedback for posture/core elements which I should focus on throughout my day to improve my form. She had me run on a treadmill while another staff member, Kim, checked out my form. They both worked together to give me some invaluable feedback which has really increased my strength and efficiency. They give you exercises to work on at home, and if you don't do your "homework" you wont see results. But if you stick with the programs they lay out for you, you are guaranteed to see results. While I am relatively new to running, I have completed 2 full marathons, numerous half marathons, and I can 100% say that I couldn't have done it without these guys! read more

I must preface this review by saying I NEVER BELIEVED IN PHYSICAL THERAPY. Kelsie Britton changed my mind. When I came to her, I could not stand straight, I could barely walk and couldn't sit. I was 36 and my body had somewhat contorted in response to a back injury. Within 2 months the cane was gone and I could move around. There is no magic in this but instead commitment from me AND Kelsie. She assessed my injury and how my body had responded to that injury then put together a plan. "My plan" was a bit different than the typical plan because at times I was unable to do all of the required exercises to move to the next step. We used worksheets during the session that gave me specific instructions on how to do specific exercises. She walked me through each one, told me the amount of reps to do, then offered instruction on how to progress between sessions by sending me home with the worksheets from that day. At first glance at the worksheets, I thought most of the exercises were a joke...UNTIL THEY WORKED. I was Kelsie's patient over a year ago and am just now writing this review. Although instructed to continue these exercises after PT was over, I didn't. A year later, I feel some of the issues coming back. I am now referring back to Kelsie's recommendations from last year and seeing progress. If that doesn't work, I will definitely head back in to see her again. I am grateful for Kelsie because not only did she helped me, she taught me how to help myself. I definitely recommend the place AND most specifically, Kelsie Britton!! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the support staff and other Physical Therapists. Karen at the front desk is very knowledgeable AND personable. I usually arrived ~10 minutes before my appointment was set to begin. Karen would make friendly conversation which was nice, but the moment another patient walked in, she politely broke away from conversation it was all about them. I respect that as it shows the level of customer service she offered. She worked with me to accommodate my work and home schedule when setting appointments. I never had one billing question that she couldn't answer or explain. I had to reschedule an appointment one time and did so within the required timeframe. I received no "grief" about it, she simply checked that I was ok and asked when we could reschedule. I could not have asked anything more of her. The other therapists were always friendly in passing. If there were a "6 star" option, this place would get it!!! read more

I can't say how their treatment is because their office staff and communication is so poor, I was unable to receive treatment as scheduled. They insisted that I sign a financial agreement that stated I was responsible for deductibles that are not required by my insurance plan. They were 100% wrong and very unprofessional in their attempt to resolve the issue. I have excellent insurance and no deductible for in network care. I do not appreciate having to argue with office staff that they have it wrong. Having reviewed my plan in detail, they are completely in error. In all my years, I've never seen a healthcare provider that required this kind of documentation. I was liable for a co-pay and nothing else. There are hundreds of physical therapists in the area--I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Not only did they not make me better, but only worse after a car accident; They have sent me to a collections agency, for two appointments that I missed due to family/snow emergencies. This is my third time using Ashland PT. However this was the first time due to an accident. I separated my shoulder in early April. I had two goals when I started, I wanted to be able to get back to yoga and be on my road bike by the end of June. James , the owner and my PT, felt my goals we realistic. I am happy to report I am back on my road bike and have never been happier. I have never been so committed to my therapy. James provided a weekly at home work out routine and changed it as I regained range of motion and strength.I went home every week with pictures of the excercises. I went 2x weekly for sessions which consisted of stretching, massage and exercises. Every question I asked was answered. I even received nutrition information. read more

I've had my 13 y/o son in for treatment of an overuse injury of his shoulder after a long baseball season, and Adam has been awesome. My son has been doing his exercises at home and has been able to continue to play and pitch through tryouts and we are very happy with the outcome thus far. I would recommend Ashland Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine to anyone and everyone recovering from injury. I just finished my treatment there, but it's more appropriate to say I've just graduated. This time I am more knowledgeable about how to take care of myself to prevent injury, and I'm leaving with a set of exercises and tools to continue to work on at home. This is a quality clinic and they serve patients from every walk of life. I was at the Ashland location because I subluxated my kneecap, for the 4th time on my left leg. My PT, Elaine, was attentive and friendly. She kept me accountable if I "over did it" but also challenged me to work hard in my recovery. When I went they were never overbooked, and I never felt rushed. Some other physical therapy places I've been to double-book their patients, and I was often just put me on a stationary bike for 20 mins. Elaine worked with me to strengthen other parts of my body that contribute to the stability of my knees, such as my hips, core, and back. She gave me a wide range of exercises I can do at home, and made recommendations for some inexpensive equipment I could get to continue the routines I did at their location in Ashland. I am not an athlete but my PT Elaine treated me with equal concern and respect for my injury as she would someone who was injured due to sports. She tailored my exercises to be realistic to my lifestyle and that made it easy for me to commit to doing at home. The receptionist Karen is very friendly and always remembers everyone's name. Elaine is a spectacular physical therapist and I'm sure the other staff are as well. read more

This place looks great upon initial impression, though after a few visits I didn't get the same feeling. They were not flexible in working with my financial needs (which I know other places will do). Almost every time I had an appointment, they tried to sell me something that would help me get better. I've been to another place since this one, and they give me the same equipment because it's not that expensive and they really have my health in mind - not sales. Also, the therapists seemed rushed each time, and I felt that I did not have enough time to ask questions. They were rigid in sticking to a 50 minute appointment and already were talking to the next person before I was done. They did not make me feel worse, but certainly did not help! read more

Great place to have PT. They offer 45 minute appointment versus the traditional 30 minute ones that I saw when I "shopped around." I have seen a couple of the therapists at this location and I feel like they are all there to really help me instead of getting me in then out the door. Everyone also takes the time to educate me about why we are doing certain things which helps a lot! Otherwise, sometimes it just seems like I am moving through the motions...so it is a motivating experience. Thanks for getting me better Ashland PT! read more
