Plato's Closet Cypress is a well rounded store, with thoughtful selection of clothing and accessories. The staff is welcoming, and the environment in itself is great. I love the deals here, considering the many overpriced retail stores I see in Cypress. I will admit I came in here for the first time a couple years ago and was disappointed in the selection to say the least, but I decided to give it another try here recently and I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to love this location sincerely! I came with two bags A shopping bag and a duffle bag. I also came to sale UNWORN, brand new (name brand) items with tags still attached. Only 3 items were accepted. Yoga pants (label inside peeling), and Gap Jean jacket, and a white dress from target. I really appreciate how organized this location is. By the appearance I'll say it's better than the last two locations I've visit ( Memorial, & Richmond) This Cypress location downfall is after they inspected your items. They will trash your clothing items that was neatly folded and well organized (& categorized: jeans/short/ athletic/ dresses/ sweaters) in separate bags, they will wrap all the items together. And NOT Correct it. Which is very disappointing and disrespectful. I would never sale any items in that condition, so why in the world would you think it's acceptable to return my items in that condition without correction. When I request her to correct it in the condition it was presented. She told me it was NOT HER JOB TO DO SUCH. no name badge is worn and I was told that shes not allow to give out names or share who is manager or supervisor, upon my request. Additionally::::: My large shopping bag (Burlington's ) which has individual bag inside (coach & Gap) since they only accept two bags. The Burlington shopping bag was completely damaged to the point I could NOT USE IT to secure my items. No shopping bags was replace. I was told they could give me trash bags! (I accepted) however they do NOT ACCEPT ITEMS if you bring them in a "TRASH BAG" This manager who given other people items away, was very aggressive and argumentative when being informed that she has given me items that do NOT belong to me. She wanted to get loud and say all items that was returned was mines. Okay. (That was the end of conversation for me) I tried to do the right thing. The honest thing. Then she proceeded to threaten to call the police if I did not depart in 5 minutes. Which I was completed with folding & organizing my items similar to how I brought them in, I was just placing them in the bags. Yet I'm still receiving texts (4x) after the threat, to come pick up my order. Girl I have exited it building, and you aware because you asked your team for your phone to take a photo of me and my car. This location definitely needs adult supervision. And the youth "manager" needs some improvement. Tip::::: I would also suggest, reviewing the cameras to acknowledge performance and the blending of items, as well as returning unpurchased items to the "Correct" sellers. read more

Honestly, this place is a waste of time. I've been here twice. The first time I brought 3 bags and this time today I brought a large tote. BOTH times they have taken NOTHING. Back home when I would take things to Plato's Closet, I never left with them not taking anything. I really think this place honestly has too much inventory because when you look at the racks everything is so crammed in. On top of that, 3 hours for them to go through your clothes? That's ridiculous, especially when I look and there's significantly less than what Uptown Cheapskate is appraising and they can get the job done in 20 minutes. I've been to two Plato's Closets back home and they took MAX an hour on a busy Saturday. I was here on a Tuesday evening. My advice would be to not even bother. read more

nobody welcomes you in, they just look at you. they don't have bags so you will have to carry out whatever you purchase, but they won't tell you this until you've checked out. i don't reccomend. read more

The clothes are so cute and I appreciate how EVERYTHING in the store is trendy, even though that means they can't always buy everything from you, that's a fair trade! You wont spend an extra hour just going through worn down old clothes like goodwill. the girls were so sweet and occupied by their work, you could tell they were happy to be there! and the clothing is so well priced even for the nice brands they carry, there was an entire lululemon rack, NICE lululemon, for 20 to thirty dollars from what i saw! as well as racks full of nice shoes all across the store floor, and even nicer ones behind the counter all for a better price than you will see for those same shoes anywhere else. This location is prejudice. I came in to sell some items. The store was completely empty when I arrived. Once I walked through the door, instead of saying 'Hello' one of the associates with long dark hair says 'We can't accept items that are in trash bags'. I looked down at the gray and orange reusable Marshall's bag that I was carrying and said 'This isn't a trash bag' she then says 'Oh okay. Sign in'. After I signed in there was a red haired girl who was pretty kind who offered to look through the items that I wanted to sell. I signed in and went to sit in my car. Literally 2 minutes after I signed in I was texted to return to the counter. The dark headed girl stated that the items that I bought in were hard to sell so they didn't accept anything. When looked in the bag NOTHING WAS OUT OF PLACE. Nothing was unfolded or out of the order in which I placed them in the bag. Meaning, they didn't even look at the items. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE! Luckily, the Willowbrook location accepted the Coach shoes, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Dooney and Burke bag with the authentication certificate that was in the bag amongst other items. Fortunately for them 1 star is the lowest rating they can receive but they deserve lower than that. read more

So this was my first time in here I wanted to give it a try I paid $19 on two tops that were used I don't usually do that. The clothes are spread out by type of garment which is kind of annoying because I didn't know this and when I was shopping for my daughter I thought the first row was it and if I didn't keep walking through I wouldn't have ever known. I seen some Ugg boots that were very over worn and shouldn't have been purchased. Victoria secrets plus size isn't the same as women's plus size I can't fit in that store. I think whoever works here and owns this shop needs to ask a real big plus size woman about which stores actually have our sizes and not the fake stuff as Victoria secret has a 1x isn't the same as torrid or lane Bryant. read more

The manager here needs to be accounted for after what my mother experienced at this location. She came yesterday to this location to sell some items right before selling to the Uptown Cheapskate location. She had bought some new Zara black sandals and she put her sandals w her receipt in the bin she was going to sell to Plato's. Her items were reviewed by the Manager and she got two items out of her bin to sell after she returned home to not find her sandals or receipt that was with it. She came the next day to ask what had happened to both the receipt and sandals just to find out they were placed by the shoe shelves with no price tag! They didn't pay for her for that item nor return them, she had to come back for them because they were stolen! This is seriously unprofessional from a manager and I would want someone higher up knowing this is what's going on at this location. read more

sitting here waiting for my buy to be complete I was first in line and i am half Hispanic and half white so I prob don't look very Hispanic there was Hispanics behind me and she processed in my buy and when they walked in she asked them if they washed their clothing, I was mortified. I would file a complaint if I was them. I will not be back to this location it is April 4th 10:24 and the owner was In here talking demeaning to her employees and they didn't even enter our buys and had us all standing around for an hour NEVER COMING BACK HERE they Had us wait around while they had an entire employee meeting the time is now 10:50 and they still haven't called my name I was the first one here with a small bag and they proceeded to go through all the other buys before entering one into the system while I listened to the owner talk about how they need to sell more because they had a big return yesterday so UNPROFESSIONAL. I have been in retail management for years and you never do this in front of your customers I don't see this location lasting long. learn to treat people with respect and dignity. I've been into this location a few times. I've sold clothes and sneakers to them and bought clothes and sneakers from them. The people who work there have always been helpful and kind. The owners are amazing and do a great job of organizing the store. It is clean and they pick great items to be sold. Remember, the inventory is hand selected by what people bring in to sell- so it's fun to go in often because it's ever changing. I've gotten some wonderful deals and can't wait to go in again soon. read more
