This is a great place to shop on a budget. If you download their app 5 stars you will accrue points when you shop and if you skip a bag. When they have cleared sales the prices are 50% off. They have men's and women's clothing from teen to plus size. They also have accessories and a great assortment of shoes. They do buy clothes on the spot as well. I'm honestly surprised this location has even a 2.4-star rating. This has been literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced in 35 years. They advertise that they buy clothing, but I've brought in brand-new items with tags still attached, along with like-new shoes and other quality items, and they've repeatedly declined everything without providing much explanation. The overall experience has felt unwelcoming and frustrating. The staff and management have come across as dismissive, and customer service seems to be something from the past. After multiple visits and the same outcome each time, I can confidently say I would not recommend this location to others. The mgmt is absolutely laughable... bless her heart. There are plenty of places to shop and sell clothing in the area, and based on my experiences, I'd suggest considering those alternatives. read more

OMG! I was sooo ready to get out this store. It's too something . Congested! My niece wanted to come here. She was mainly looking for jeans but didn't find any that worked. She found a pair of sneakers , so we got those. The pricing was fair. Staff was decent. Maybe it was just this location that turned me off because I have been to other Plato's Closest location, and don't recall feeling this unimpressed. Depending on the location I absolutely love Plato's Closet! Describing this store to people that have never heard of it, I always say it's like an "expensive" thrift store. Every clothing item that I have ever purchased from this establishment has always been fairly priced/affordable. I have been selling clothes for years to this store and honestly they don't always take everything in my inventory but that's fine, I take the rest to goodwill. No harm done because it's stuff I don't need anyway.. I came in around 4pm for the staff to tell me there was a 4 hour wait- I said so it's going to be 8 pm to pick this us and they said yes, I informed them I didn't live near by and the female with blue hair was condescending and told me if I would like to bring them back the next day they open at 10.. I told her that I would wait on them to be done. I left at 4 and drove around, did some shopping, and I just walked into the store at 7 pm and my clothes was done, no call or any communication to let me know they were done early but there they were with a huge "P" on my paper attached to my basket and she said that none of the clothes were in resale-able condition and there was a storage "odor" and if I would like to re-wash them and re-fold them that they would be happy to review them again, while looking above my head and smiling like she enjoyed telling me this.. First off I am positive all the clothes were washed, cleaned, and folded before I brought them in and I do not have an "odor" problem in my home. Second, I feel like her condescending sarcasm was very unprofessional and I really believe she just didn't want to take anything because I left them at the cut off time. I drove the 30 minutes here to be rudely told my items would not be processed and they wouldn't take them tonight. I decided to stop in here yesterday to check on selling a dress I've only wore once. It was my first time visiting this store. When I went into the store, no one greeted me. I was in the store for approximately 10 minutes and none of the workers said a word to me. Now, a couple of the workers were ringing people up, but I received no type of acknowledgment while there. I think customers should be acknowledged once they enter the store as a courtesy. Anyhow, I quickly decided against selling my dress. I briefly looked over the clothing that was being sold. My husband and I brought in 2 huge boxes of clothes and shoes made sure everything was perfectly folded as well as made sure The items that we had were in style and matched up with the brands that they took. We had many things from American Eagle and free people and other various brands on there list. After wasting many hours of our day we were then told that they were not taking anything!!!! This Plato's Closet sucks. First off the workers are rude. My friend and I both used to sell clothes to them. We brought back bags full of clothes with tags and from brands they were asking for. They offered less than 10 dollars for a few items and gave back lululemon, urban outfitters, free people, and other name brands. Their selection they do have sucks and that's because they aren't buying anything good. It's so hard to find anything remotely with good style and that's because the people who pick the clothes have horrible style and attitudes. read more

Took my clothes into the store and they said it was a two hour wait. I filled out the Information like they asked and left my clothes in the box I provided. I received a text less than an hr later saying my clothes were ready for pickup. I came back to the store only for them to tell me they wouldn't even evaluate any of the clothes unless they were "neatly folded". All of the clothes were laid on top of each other and folded in half before putting in the box. They did not tell me of this requirement beforehand or did not give me the curtesy of staying in my same place in line. Instead I had to wait another 2 hrs. The staff was extraordinarily rude. Literally brought in clothes from Zara, H&M, Urban Revivo, etc. and they didn't take anything, which makes sense seeing that the clothes were still exactly how I had folded them. I'm 22 years old, I know that the clothes I got less than a year ago at Zara aren't "out of style." It's annoying because they didn't explain anything at all or even say specifically what they wouldn't accept. I'm pretty sure they didn't go through them. Everything was folded and sorted and cleaned before being brought in so I basically had my time wasted. They quoted 45 minutes when I dropped them off and I get a text ten minutes later saying they are done. Literally just a waste of time. It's annoying to see them accepting clothes from the 2010s but not clothes from 2021 and telling me they are older styles. read more

AMAZING customer service! Before going in yesterday, I was a wary after reading so many reviews on how terrible the customer service at Plato's has been for many. However, I was delighted at how warmly the staff welcomed me into the store. I had 4 containers of clothes I wanted to sell, and the woman at the front counter was helpful, kind, and considerate throughout the process. Other employees in the store were accommodating, and quite fashionable! Even though they did not take many of the clothes I was offering, I had a great shopping experience, and I especially love the Plato's rewards system. They also discourage the use of plastic bags, which is a good step in the right direction toward sustainable shopping. read more

Great deals here, but I don't really get this place. I have found that a lot of people share this confusion with me. As a shopper, I love it. As a seller, ummmmm let's just say WTF politely! It's always been wishy-washy when trying to sell them clothes. I've had them take the ugliest stuff I had in the bag yet leave all the cute stuff and I've had them deny a perfectly good pair of in season Lucky jeans but accept the ugly jeans my aunt bought me from Walmart! Seriously it's weird. How is it that they can turn away a perfectly cute AEO top, yet as you browse their racks you'll find several Walmart brand tops from years back? How'd those Walmart shirts make it but the AEO shirt didn't? Maybe it's the fact that they have too many style opinionated people accepting the clothing?? I guess that's it. Because some of their stuff is outright adorable and fun and some of their stuff is just tacky, ugly or off brand. They are suppose to follow guidelines for accepting clothes, but I think that whoever is going through the clothes at the time decides on what to take as if they were shopping for themselves and your screwed basically if you have a different style other than that person because they are going to reject 98% of your clothes based on their own style likes. read more

This used to be a decent place to shop for clothing. Now it's full of run down clothing, less variety, less size options, and the shoe section is a joke. Fair warning : if you're planning on selling your plus sized clothing here, walk out. They won't give you anything for it, even if it's name brand. They say it "doesn't sell well" but the truth is this place just discriminates on plus sized individuals. I was shocked as I've sold here before and gotten a decent amount of money for my clothes. Most of the clothes are out of style, and really worn, but they're selling them for the price of a new coat. You might be able to snag a few good pieces, but it's definitely a rare find here now. I tried to sell my clothing again. Name brand (Micheal Kors, Calvin Klein, Vans etc.) they only took two of the 15-20 items. A brand new pair of vans and a brand new leather jacket. They offered me a grand total of 17.50 for both items. I was shocked and took my items and walked out. I did buy a few items in the store, but most of the stuff was really worn. The lady behind me who sold her very worn clothes got offered much more because she was a size 6. Including pictures below. I'll probably go back and just to snap some pictures of the shoes they're selling. This place used to be great, now it's full of rude staff, crappy shoes, and ok clothing. Used to be great. I'll start out on a positive note by stating that all of the clothes are organized quite well--better than most other second-hand stores. Everything, in my opinion, is reasonably priced based on the condition of the merchandise and brand names. The reason for my visit is to sell some items resulting from a major closet overhaul that I just did. I totally understand that they're not gonna pay top-dollar for my items, and likely won't even take the majority of them. Hey, it's better than getting $0--which is exactly what would've happened had I taken everything straight to the Salvation Army. So I also think that what they pay for your items is also pretty reasonable. The customer service isn't anything to write home about. I walked in with 4 bags of clothes and the first thing the lady asked me is if they were folded, then proceeded to tell me that everything would have to be folded prior to being evaluated. I feel like this should be listed on the website to save customers the inconvenience of having to go back out to their car(!!!) and fold clothes before coming into the store. About 45 minutes after bringing my (folded) clothes back into the store, I politely asked about how much longer the wait would be. I didn't notice the board that states completed customers' names. When I asked, the girl reviewing my items was quite unfriendly and seemed like she'd rather not be interacting with me at all. I left the counter, walked around some more, and finally my items were ready about 20 minutes later. The girl at the register gave me a receipt with a detailed summary of what they'd take and how much they'd be willing to pay for it, a grand total of $106. She was friendlier than the other two associates I'd interacted with. Overall, this location provides a decent shopping experience, although it could improve its customer service. I brought in 3 HUGE totes of brand new clothing....never worn. All a&f, loft , american eagle....I packed these containers myself n it wasn't even looked through. Everything I put on top was still there. Said that they weren't in style....wth? How can BLUE JEANS from LAST YEAR be out dated? The girl was extremely rude saying they were dirty....over half of these items had price tags still on them. Great store to get a good deal on clothes or accessories. Normally find something each time I go, and is the only place I've bought jeans the past couple years. As far as selling goes, I've had good and bad experiences because sometimes they reject stuff on condition but it's better than some stuff out on the floor but overall I've had a very great experience. And they'll tell me they'll give me 6.00 for my things and have to pass on the rest... fairly rudley. So I start to look to see what they took... the ugliest things I brought???!!!!!!?! It make zero sense here. They truly only want "grungy" "vintage" "plain old" frankly smelly clothes that I can tell when walking the aisles are cheaper/lower quality than mine. However, I figured it might be attributed to the fact that a lot of the stuff was plus sized clothing. The WORST PLATO'S CLOSET I HAVE BEEN TO! Just moved from nyc with an entire wardrobe of new and used clothes and shoes!! Dropped off clothes and looking through the store I over hear the girl talking about how some pieces looked Boho unused from Latin America countries and at first I was impressed with her ability to identify such authentic pieces. Included in the wardrobe were brand new EXPRESS jeans, BCBG and other well known brands. They took nearly anything! Which I found astonishing considering these pieces were new from the original designer/store. They ended up being too big and receipts were lost in translation during the move. Of everything I had and that's about 5 storage containers...they took 5 used pieces and offered ab $20...just shocking and the clothes on the rack were so used and not even "distressed" in the sense of fashion but that they needed to be donated to those in need. read more

Awful customer service. Very disorganized. I came in and was not told properly how to "sign in" so no one got to my clothing in time. 30 mins later I see my name on the board as being "ready" for payment of my clothing and turns out it wasn't my name and they hadn't gotten to my clothes because no one told me to sign in! I went yesterday, and the service was horrible! I brought in 4 bags of clothes- ironed and folded, and not even less than a year old. They said they went through all of them! There was no way they did, they were still folded and put nicely in the bags like we had them. They took 5 expensive clothes, and gave me $5.... I am never going to Plato's- it is a rip-off and the service is very bad and the employees are very rude. I have never been treated more poorly in my entire life. The owner of the business yelled at me for taking my mask down over my nose to get a quick sip of my drink. I then put my mask back over my nose and then continued shopping. I found a pair of shoes and then got into the line. While I was waiting in the line I took my mask down for another sip of my drink and then from across the store the owner of the store screams and says PUT YOUR MASK ON NOW OR YOU ARE OUT OF HERE! I put it on and she continues screaming at me that you are going to have to leave now. She continued saying I AM THE OWNER AND YOU ARE NOT WELCOMED HERE AND YOU NEED TO LEAVE. I was very embarrassed because everyone in the entire store was looking at me. She also lied about her real name several times giving me several different names when I asked.
