Absolutely Ridiculous how I was treated here today. The store doesn't close until 9pm, I walked in around 6:25pm with a big box of clothes and was told that they were done "receiving items for the day"....2.5 hours before they close? Lol what a joke. Not one customer in the store and 4 employees just standing around and one outside talking to a person in a car lol. And my clothes were really nice, pants, polos, jerseys, shorts and basically everything else also really good name brand stuff. Apparently they didn't want to work for the last couple hours of the day so yeah I won't be going back there ever again!!!! What a joke they are! read more

I love Plato's Closet in my hometown. Unfortunately not here. I drove from the USC campus and it's about 10 miles away and 20 minutes away. I come in with a bag full of clothes to sell and the girl says that they "stopped selling at 6 because they're short-staffed" as she gestures to two employees at the counter sitting on their phones. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store. I wasted a 40 minute round trip for some lazy employees. Thanks Plato's! read more

I wanted to make a little bit of cash so I took a big bag of clothes here! They only took 2 things out of the bag but they gave me reasons why, I didn't have any holes or rips in my clothing it's just that some of the clothes I had weren't really in high demand which I understand! They were all wearing mask, and very sweet to me while explaining the selling process. Everything was nice and neat and a cool store to shop for second hand clothing. Back to the only 2 shirt thingy, I only made $3.20 which I know doesn't sound like a lot which it isn't! But I'm glad I earned something! It also taught me what to bring next time! I love going to Plato's closet. I always find something perfect to wear! That is the first place I go when I want to spend some money. The staff is also very friendly. They're always helpful with the fitting room and when I go to sell my clothes! I've had a great experience with selling my clothes at Plato's. I always get a good amount of cash back! They have an eco friendly bring-your-own-bag-policy which is great. Double points too! I also love that they still have Covid protocols in place!!! read more

If you're in the market for used Target brands, Charlotte Russe or H&M that are marked up more than you could buy them NWT on clearance at the actual store you've found your happy place. Overall this place sucks and I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed. The one silver lining was they had a boatload if NWT Lily Pulitzer significantly marked down but still overpriced for my taste. The ladies behind the counter not once asked did anybody in the store need any assistance. I could live with never coming here again. read more

The employees are always bland and rude whenever I go in. I have tried to donate clothes that were brand new, and nice brands, and they were given back to me and I was told they were not in style. They deny almost all my clothes every time. It makes no sense to me why my barely used hollister shorts would be considered out of style, but the sequin peace sign shirt isn't. The people who inspect the clothes are ridiculous. This store is a joke. read more

I absolutely loveeee going shopping here.My boyfriend and I make a trip to come here at least twice a month. They always have great deals on the cutest stuff but you just have to really look to find it sometimes. Found my favorite pair of American eagle shorts here for only $10!! Also their Instagram page is always posting items that are in style which you could call the store to place on hold. Overall one of my fav places to shop:) read more

You can really get great items at a fraction of the original cost. The customer service is great for the most part. Some of the girls wear slouchy items and it reflects on their lazy attitude. The girls that dress up nicely and actually try and look nice have a great attitude and are very helpful. As far as getting rid of items that you don't wear, as long as there aren't any flaws and it's a nice item they will pay you nicely for it. You never know what you're going to get, so always check back regularly. It's the middle of the winter right now and it was freezing in the whole unit. I had to wear a coat while shopping! read more

I am very disappointed in this misleading sale. I signed up for the 90% off and only found one thing in my size on clearance. I left bag in car but had only 1 clearance item and was only given 70% off b/c it was not in bag. Your signs in the store and the offer texted to me said nothing about only getting 70% if I did not bring a bag. Your staff was not helpful - she was condescending and rude when I inquired why I was not given the 90% off that I had dined up for. This is bait and switch advertising which is against the law and I will be reaching out to corporate about this breach of contract. It may be only $2.00 but it is the the fact that your ad was misleading . read more

I have tried several times to sell items in this store. Both times, they have bought, at most, seven things from me. I consider myself a fairly fashionable person, buying Forever 21, Charlotte Rousse, Charming Charlies, Francescas, Entourage Boutique, Old Navy, New York & Co., etc... clothing, and yet my clothes are not considered "in-style." Prior to my terrible experience this week, this location was my go to for clothes when I first started buying second hand. This week, I saw just how terrible their customer service is! I purchased a $45.00 Patagonia jacket and failed to notice before getting home that there were two big holes! They should have inspected more thoroughly before buying and reselling. The next day, I went to return it and realized I had forgotten my receipt. Eventually they found the information and offered my money back, a store credit, or an exchange. I inquired about another jacket, same style, brand, and color as the one that I had purchased, but they refused to do an exchange because they had already posted it on Instagram that it would be going out for their holiday reveal event. I'm sorry, but if you offer an exchange, shouldn't you as the customer be able to get the same thing? It's not my fault they had already posted on social media. Maybe they should have inspected the jacket instead of putting it out on their rack to resell. I will never shop at this location again. Not only do they have terrible customer service, but their employees are rude and I have also tried selling some of my expensive name brand clothes where they only offered me under $20.00 for. read more

After waiting three hours for them to go through the clothes I'd offered to sell AFTER they told me it would just be an hour (all the while the high school aged employees sat and talked amongst themselves instead of helping customers), I was told that my designer clothes ( four pieces -- Joe's Jeans, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer) were only worth 15 dollars (total!!!). However, in the store, there were the same labels available for sale for around 50-75 dollars each! This store is a rip off. If you're going to get virtually nothing for clothes that are worth 60-200 dollars, you might as well donate them to Goodwill. At least there they're going toward a good cause. read more
