Worst place ever. Service was horrible and didn't even take the time to look at the clothes before demanding it unfit. Half was my 16 year-old sister style half of it still had a tag on it. Brand new and I could tell they didn't go through it because it was in style because it was really bought at the mall right next to them.... I brought in nearly brand new clothing from Old Navy that they wouldn't t take because they "may be.out of style" the snotty little cashier was talking about if they were made in 2020 they were out of date. I just bought many of them between 23 and 24. I will never shop this store or attempt to sell anything there. They took exactly 9 shirts that I know were older than 2020. I have tried many different times to sell things here and only once have they actually taken something I or someone I know brought in. And, while we were given reasons, none of them made sense. First, we're told they only take trendy items, yet none of my friends American Eagle jeans, Aeropostale jeans, or Hollister clothing was 'trendy' enough for them? Also on that note, I've gone into this particular store multiple times to shop and have seen plenty of SHEIN clothing (which, begs to question what they consider 'trendy' lol). And, as for them telling us they couldn't take clothing with stains (nothing I saw in my bag had stains), I have also seen many articles of clothing in that store with stains or holes. And, personally, I don't see the big deal if they're small/not noticeable. But, the issue I have is when you deny my clothes but accept others with the same 'problems.' And, finally, how are you going to tell me you aren't taking 'fall clothing' at the moment when my bag had multiple bathing suits, shorts, and t-shirts? I just don't get it and, like I mentioned before, there has only ever been on instance which they have ever accepted something I try to sell (and that's after trying more than five times over the years). For a thrift store, I just don't understand the misleading and confusing stipulations smh. read more

They were very rude and don't accept good clothes. The clothing they sold looked very dirty and cheap for a higher price than the actual store brand new. The front lady at the desk I'm pretty sure she was one of the mangers she had a terrible attitude I don't know what her issue was but when you working in a place like this customer service is important and it really seemed like she didn't know about that at all. read more

My first time there I had a decent experience with buying but had to really search for good brands and deals. A lot of their items are over priced in comparison to other thrift sellers. Some brands are good some are just cheap brands. Selling to them is a different experience. I took in a large container of New With Tag items that were from within the last year (All Michael Kors, Lululemon, Nike, Free People, etc) and they only kept one item. Now I see old Forever 21 on their shelves but a new Lululemon leggings with tags is not accepted. Crazy! Just totally a bad experience. read more

They have good prices for shoes that would be like more expensive on any other website or place it so it's a good place to shop

this place literally sucks ass they said the criteria to drop off clothes is "we take anything bought within the last 18 months". Brought in almost 40 items all bought within the last seven months most still had tags. Finished my order in less than 10 minutes. They took 13 items and gave me SEVENTEEN DOLLARS that's less then 75 cents an item. Also didn't even look through the bags, skimmed the top and that's it. all the clothes where in the exact same place as when i dropped them off, place is run by a bunch of teenagers with bad fashion sense, attitudes and one with horrible B.O that made the whole front stink read more

Overpriced, overrated, and didn't feel much like a thrift store with good deals. Some of the clothes even appeared rather worn for the prices that were being asked for. Going to the mall nearby would be your better bet to do your clothes shopping at as most of the clothing seems to have come from there in the first place... read more

I really wanted to love this Plato's and there are great finds to be found, but after my experience today I'll never shop there again. I bought 10 items last night and specifically asked about the return policy so I could do a proper try on at home. The young woman behind the counter told me clearance couldn't be returned but for everything else, there was a 7 day return policy. She even reattached a tag to one of the dresses that was missing one specifically so that it would be returnable. When I went to return them today (with the SAME person who cashed me out last night), suddenly "dresses are not returnable." They were full price (not clearance) and had been purchased less than 24 hours ago. I even told her I was willing to exchange because I was going to do more shopping and would've wound up spending more than I even exchanged for. No exceptions. She's not to blame for the return policy but the fact that she even reattached the tag for me and did not mention they wouldn't be returnable was dishonest and misleading; bottom line: I don't feel comfortable shopping there anymore. I went to Burlington down the road afterward and found better priced items for brand new--highly recommend! read more

I've had two very different experiences with this store. I typically sell higher end items to them the first time I sold a pair of Christian Lou irons to them and they gave me a great price for them at 40% retail. I took in a box of items this last time and was immediately greeted with overall rudeness. They said only two crates is allowed now which is fine. They offered me 80 dollars for a few off brand shoes which is great I did accept that. But I also brought in a pair of of designer boots that retail over $500 a pair of designer glasses that retail over $200 and a contemporary designer bag that retails $250 at saks. They offered me a whopping $54 for the items that were barely used. Then acted like they were annoyed that I didn't accept the money what idiot would accept that. I was very embarrassed because I also brought my friend and she wanted to sell her loubiton piagelle heels bnwt that retail for $680 and they completely wasted her time and offered her $35 read more

Definitely overpriced for used clothing. I found a few dresses they were selling for $12 (originally $19-$24). Weren't even in great condition. Some of the higher end brands or NWT clothing make sense to sell for more but too many "brand name" (that weren't really brand name) clothing that were so overpriced. Plus a lot of the clothes look like they need recycled - not resold. I ended up buying a pair of jeans and the cashier (only employee I interacted with in store) was very abrupt and borderline hostile. I like thrifting and finding deals but I doubt I'll come back. read more

So, I come here with tons of clothes, shoes and bags and things to sell to them, they take half of it, tell me "some of the clothes have pilling and small tears, and some aren't in fashion, so we can't take them". They give me 7$ for all the things they took. When I go and look around at the things they have on the racks, there are multiple pieces of clothing with pilling and some tears. They take all the same things no matter what style is in. Just don't donate to them. The prices are fine, good even. But you're better off selling your items on Poshmark. read more

I love the store but I brought 2 bags off stuff and they took 4 things and I got only $16 for stuff that's worth way more than that on top of that they take stuff that has holes and stained up shoes but I brought converse in and heals that were worn once and they didn't take them and a brand new Columbia jacket that they also didn't take. then when I came up to the counter the girl was rude and ignorant to not just me but to another customer. read more

Love this platos!! The staff is really friendly and they get a lot of high end designer items. I follow them on Instagram, which I recommend, and it seems like they get new Michael Kors purses in daily! They're store is extremely neat& organized. It's always a pleasure to shop there. The staff was friendly, the store had a lot to choose from and it was organized and pretty clean. Some of the clothes looked too worn out, like they should be in a thrift store or yard sale, but other stuff was good. The prices were ok. I sold some stuff and was satisfied with what I got. I was bummed out though because I had a lot of nice stuff from Guess and higher end brands and they wouldn't take it because they said their target shoppers are age 14-18, but it's all good, over all a pretty good experience. read more

Plato's Closet has everything you could possibly need to build the perfect wardrobe! They have all the top name brands and they're priced at such a reasonable price!! They also buy my gently used clothes and shoes that I'm no longer wearing for cash right on the spot! So I always make sure to bring clothes in when I plan to shop so I can use that cash towards my purchase! The staff looks very trendy every time I go in, they're very welcoming and so nice! Shopping is great. Ive been a shopper and seller since they opened. However, since opening they become pickier and pickier as far as them buying from you. Ive brought in items new with tags but somehow are past their "18 months old" policy. Ive brought two full trash bags of perfect condition new, new with out tags clothing/shoes and walked out with 4$ they bought a single tank top. read more
