Great for buying! They paid me over $400 for my clothing! They will take more adult styles as well as younger so its perfect for me!

I started shopping at this St. Vincent de Paul in 2021 when I moved to Florence from Dallas. I…read morecould find clothing, cookware, shoes, and even handbags reasonably priced. It felt like a thrift store with thrift store prices. It was fun to shop here for treasure hunting. No more. The prices have gotten so expensive. It's no longer a true thrift store. There was a Target handbag that was very worn and the interior was torn priced at $25! I could not believe it! The bag was ready to go to its forever home in a landfill. I could get a Coach bag on ebay for that price! They separate their shoes and mark up those they deem are nice. Most are not. Even Walmart shoes are hiked up to their premium prices. Gone are the days when all their shoes are priced the same. I guess they are trying to enter the resellers' space, but they should stop calling themselves a thrift store. They make Goodwill look like a bargain. I picked up 2 preowned t-shirts and nearly died when the cashier said the total was $10! Yikes! Forget that! This is not a place for bargain hunters. This is a place to buy many used items for retail prices. I used to have fun shopping here, but they have definitely lost my business.

Today I went home with a vintage Fire King piece, someone's cute cat figurine collection they donated, and a handmade cutting board. Only complaint is the price was written directly on the cutting board in Sharpie instead of using tape or a sticker. All thrift stores: please stop doing that! This thrift store is always well organized with holiday sections, a large toy area, lots of picture frames, craft supplies, linens, and always some furniture to dig through. The clothing section is pretty small, and I have not found many nice brand items to make the prices worthwhile, but I did find a bin of handmade crocheted hats for cheap and picked one out. It is not the cleanest store, so plan to wash your finds well when you get home. Still, they do not sell broken junk like some thrift stores, and there is usually nice stuff set out. The staff members I have talked to have been kind, and the prices are fair. Not the absolute cheapest, but thrift store prices everywhere are going up, and this place follows that trend. Overall, this place will always be worth my monthly stop in and I love my treasures I've found here.

They also have large book and toy bins that you can dig through. It can be difficult to reach the items at the bottom but it's kinda part of the fun of thrifting. They had holiday décor, lamps, furniture, planters, rugs, picture frames, CDs, and vinyl records. The prices were very fair, and unlike some thrift stores. My biggest complaint is that they write the prices directly on the items with Sharpie. It's especially frustrating on wooden pieces because it's impossible to remove, so I'm taking off one star for that. The parking lot is also usually a tight fit. On my last visit, I bought some collector's cups, a painted wooden duck, a barely used White Barn candle, a vintage Care Bears mug, and a green marble plant stand. Most of the smaller items were only $1-4 each. I'll definitely keep coming back because there's almost always something worth taking home.

I walked in through an overhead door with plastic strips hanging in it. I went in search of some vases and I was able to find them. What I love most about the thrift stores I visit is the clothes I am able to find. This store had a really poor selection of clothes and shoes. I did see a pair of boots I liked but the had them marked at $45! That is crazy for a pair of Durango boots at the thrift store. I bought my three vases and nothing else. I will not be returning to this location as there is nothing really for me there.

I did find the prices to be a bit higher than other consignment shops in the area. Although I did find out that they were getting ready to have a nice clearance sale to send out the spring/summer clothes and transition to fall/winter. The last day of the sale they actually did a bag sale. I made it in on one of the sale days and bought some nice clothing at a more reasonable price. They also had some decor items. The store is fairly small but they packed it full of good shopping. I also found a pair of shoes that I liked. I actually paid more for them than I would have liked but they were unique. I am sure I will stop in again. I may make it when they are transitioning over to spring to pickup some deals on winter clothes.

But I did find the employees bickering with each other over how to set up their ring light and technology so they could go live on Facebook and sell virtually. This should not be done during store hours, or should be done in a backroom where customers who are physically in the store aren't treated like second class citizens to your Facebook lives. Clothes were packed heavy on racks, so I can't imagine they get much business on the sales side.
